- BLUELOCK's Animation was one of the biggest complaints of anime fans, but with the release of Episode Nagi's trailer, the animation is looking better than it ever has. Does this mean Blue Lock Season 2 will have better animation?

Yeah man... Drawing manga is easier than drawing in anime...in manga the scene which is drawn a single time, in anime there are more than 10 pictures are drawn😅
Yeah it takes time, so what? They should take their time... It will be excuse if they say there are so many clips to draw and they don't have time perfecting it...cuz manga release only take a week so they don't have enough time but they do awesome job...when animators have manga, which they adapting and an year of time they should make it as good as possible...it should even be better than manga... not the other way around.😅
@@babubhaiya2631 difference is a single episode is worked by at least 10 people and they get like 1 month to finish each episode. Manga is created by one person and he also need to plan the story which is much difficult and dont forget its also weekly
@@aganbraganca4156 10 overworked people depending on the studio and most mangaka already have the story figured out before they start but either way they are both hard in their own way
If season 2 has quality animation, Blue Lock vs U20 will not only be one of the greatest arcs in sports anime, but even in shonen or in general
Your not even wrong about that. Just imagine they animated Rin in his Flow, MetaVision correctly, the dribbling, amazing shots, the abilities, and the awesome panels correctly drawn.

@@GavinXEclipsehe doesn't uses meta vision i think, it's a similar ability but the manga never confirmed that he uses it. For now we know that Isahi, Aiku, Niko and Kurone are confirmed users. Reo too but he can replicate like 70 percent only. Rin might have a better one that also take into consideration his stringing abilities so maybe instincts+metavision

I really want the u20 arc to be done justice, I can excuse the first season since the budget was low and nothing really exciting happened, but if I see any cgi of sae im unaliving someone

Blue lock has one of the most intriguing and genuinely encapturing stories ive read in mangas. I’d love to see it being done justice as anime-only fans already seem to enjoy blue lock a ton. I’d love for them to get what blue lock actually seserves
Hey it’s me updating you guys after watching Episode Nagi. No. The animation did not change, and it still had the goofy ahh overhead animations but either way still a cold movie 😬 Would recommend it!
Hope so because them Isagi panels in Episode of Nagi are crazy
It's currently the hottest manga in Japan, while in western, the chapter's release is the most anticipated one, the leaks on twitter is gold mines. Blue Lock anime deserves better animation.

Hopefully they have/will improve the animation bc I didn’t think the manga art was gonna be that much better before reading but I didn’t know what I was missing😲! So I REALLY hope they do The U20 and (eventually) NEL justice. I especially hope for the NEL to be done well bc it has some my fave series moments😮💨
Definitely looks good but it’s only the trailer, we’ll have to wait and see the whole thing, but hopefully the animation is amazing

I'm hype for this movie and especially Reos development, but the small trailer still had re used animation. Also the nagi skull scene wasnt a redo, it was the scene before nagi entered blue lock.
Well each episode was getting released every week with no breaks so you got to give credit to them with the animations that they have to keep doing every week and was rushed to keep up with the demand for more in my opinion

@@promiseejedawe1527 Blue Lock is at the moment literally the most popular manga in Japan. So obviously people expected some Demon Slayer or Jujutsu Kaisen level of animation. What we got was okay but it could have been so much better

The thing is, the movie pays off more than the anime does so they'll definitely step it up for it

I went to the movie and it was awesome it obviously wasn’t the best near the s2 cuz i see some drawings from s2 but i think the movie gave us a lot of info about nagi’s life before blue lock and how it affected him and some of the scenes were really good(gave us a better s2 pleasee animators)
Episode nagi was a recap, but even so i enjoyed watching it. The animation did have so improvements not much but overall it was good. Also it had an small extra scene of the players we havent seen yet in the show. Blue lock season 2 looks soooo promising already, if you watch any of the trailers it looks crazy good. 🗣 excited to see U20 match animated. I can't wait.

Imagine they animated Rin in his Flow, MetaVision and its cool ass panels(the big eye over Isagi, puzzle pieces, etc), the dribbling(rin, Bachira, Nagi, Barou, Reo, and others), amazing shots(Rin, Shidou, Sae, Isagi, Barou, and more), the abilities(Predators, MetaVision, assassin eye, etc), and the awesome panels correctly drawn.(Exp: End of U-20 match, Shidou with his wings, Flow Rin vs the U-20 players, Sae overall, and more)
Well they are animating that and they have 1.7 years since the movie had 1 year to make and s2 is gonna be after oct i think so they have some time
i hope its not the ongoing thing that they put way more effort in a movie rather than the anime like so many animes
lets hope the animation gets better when S2 releases in October.

Season 2 should fix major problems with the animation if the movie is successful… season 1 has some amazing scenes and for that we need some intern level animation because of budget but since season 1 was a hit and it’s moving merchandise I can see season 2 getting a better budget
I fully agree that the animation looks way better in the movie trailer. However I’m a bit worried that it is only possible because they were given a movie budget, and season 2 will not be kept to the same quality. That being said, I hope they were given a smaller budget and shorter amount of time to make season 1 as test for the anime, and will now be giving a bigger budget and more time to the animators for season 2.
Its been 2 years since blue lock season 1 by the time season 2 airs this far so i have faith they're gonna cook with the amount of time they got, unless they might have gotten spread thin working on the movie and season 2 at the same time.

To explain how popular the blue lock manga is and was:
Blue lock sold the same number of volumes about a couple of months BEFORE the blue lock anime released. That's about 1 and a half years AFTER the Black Clover anime FINISHED 170 episodes.
Might just be episode nagi like you said some of the best panels are in e:n but because they are seen through nagi and reos eyes they had to switch up the design of it so it wouldnt look exactly the same as the main story
They kinda did but I saw the movie the overhead shots are still the same but it might just be reused animation

Updated note: they did not. The stills are 100x better now, but the animation is still floppy at times and the overhead shots still exist. Frame by frame they still do the sillies, it's just now the still frames are good.
I just watched the movie the overhead running scenes are still there. Other than that I would say they have improved in some areas.

If blue lock season 2 has better animation you are looking at a best manga of that year. The U20 arc is one of the best arcs in recent years and if done right will sky rocket blue lock’s popularity more than before.

It would be nicer if they brought back the blue halo color to Isagi because it really became disgusting for me. My mood got sour when the color went green in the first part. Although all the followers wanted it to come back, the studio didn't pay us any attention, and I'm against that silly reason of theirs, as they say that green means evolution, and that's why Isagi made them the other color lately. However, as a viewer, I am not interested in these details, which no one will pay attention to except Who have knowledge in the world of colors and they studied design really it is annoying to the max I have come to hate the green color because of this because it reminds me of Anime
They mostly fixed it, the overhead shots looked a little better but were very obvious due to how the rest of the movie looked a lot better.
Yea the animation could’ve been better in parts but I thought it looked fine for the most part, the intensity and depth of the show really carried the show where the animation didn’t quite shine.

That’s just because production committees giving studios dogshit schedules. 1year for 24 episode seasons isn’t at all enough time. Same treatment was given for studio bones and wit. That’s why WIT quit aot season 4 because schedules were awful

If they fixed that over head animation with with better animation then everything is good that’s they only complain I have. Blue lock would have been 9/10 if they did that in season 1 they need to increase their budget and sign elite animators for that role

Just have Production IG have it as soon as Haikyuu is finished, the movie looks absolutely incredible and we need that for more fluid animation , or maybe have A1 Pictures for the godly special effects and sound effects for the special moves that goes crazy more and more in the manga

There had been scenes that were supposed to be intense throughout season 1, yet the animation looked weak. The first few episodes were good at least. Then they somehow downgraded. Hopefully they got more budgets and better team for season 2, given there will be an intense fight against the U20.
Just saw the movie, and thankfully the 3D animation was kept to a minimum
