HUGE THANKS to ExpressVPN for offering all Food Ranger viewers 3 months free and 49% off their yearly package using this link: ExpressVPN.com/Thefoodranger . Travelers need ExpressVPN to stay safe online and to unblock any site. I personally use it for Netflix, even while at home in Canada, but also while traveling to unblock content and episodes that are geoblocked, and I also use it for security, because airport wifi and hotel wifi is often very insecure, leaving my data vulnerable. By connecting to one of their servers around the world, it’s just like my computer or phone is in that location, and all data sent while connected to their VPN is secure, safe, and private from others to see, so I know that my data won’t be hacked or looked at by others. Thanks so much for watching, and we have tons more videos coming up for you! Please leave me a comment below letting me know what you thought about this episode, thanks so much!!!

Do you have videos on how to get to these locations? It will be a great help for someone like me who doesn't speak Chinese. I love the recurring theme of asking a street food cook what the ingredients are, and they respond “good ingredients”. Very protective of their recipes.
And then there are the incidences of unscrupulous Chinese adding wood, plastic, rat meat, and even toxic things to foods. Vendors try to assure you they use “good ingredients” because they know the reputation.

food in China is really cheap and very delicious 😍😍
Nico
Nico welcome to China、We are nice to tourists.😉
Considering the average income of families in China, I don't think food in China is cheap.
i'm so hungry now.
Just got back from Shanghai and have to thank you for the sesame noodle and sheng jian bao tips! Find them both easily thanks to the info. Absolutely delicious and a lot of fun to go visit.

With Trevor you see the real China....not what news media portrays, if you make the effort to learn the language, the experience you can have is so amazing. Well done Trevor !!!!!!!!
You are not only Good in food but you are awesome in Many Languange too.. Respect sir
Do you ever hear people talk behind your back, not realizing you can understand what they are saying? Awesome channel, just found it.
Yeah that happens all the time haha :)
haha,you make me laugh ~~
happens all the time, he mentions it a few times i belive
Thats sad cause hes sincerely trying to learn the language.
Might be cause sometimes it seems like hes mocking them but that might just be me overthinking it.
Felt like I was watching this on Discovery channel
Wow Chinese people are extremely genuine and kind! I wish I had more time to travel around Shanghai when I was there for a layover :(
I lived in Shanghai for four years, and at that time I loved to go out and look for great food. Yet what you had in this video made me realize that there are so many things which I have never heard before! And I miss Shanghai so much!
Trevor, you are without doubt, my favorite youtuber. I love your honesty when trying foods. I am also a member of the "Take a shot when Trevor says Wow or Ohhh" club so I am currently waiting for a new liver.......I love you.
lollll glad you like the videos!
Are you kidding me?...I don't like your videos...I LOVE your videos!
Chinese people are quite generous
Chinese people generally think that foreigners are rubbish, ignore foreigners
mc Where's that come from? Chinese people think foreigners are rubbish? Stop bullshitting
Samba Z. some people just spend their whole fucking life to say how bad china is, just ignore these trash
Jacky Wong you tube 😀😀能看懂中文,因为国内很多洋垃圾,我很反感这些垃圾,所以不希望外国垃圾来中国。你懂吧。因为国人对这些外国人实在太好了,所以偶尔黑化一下国内对外国人的态度。希望外国人少来点

I grew up in Shanghai, and I still regret not trying literally every street food there. It was so good!
my god, as an American, I'm really considering learning Chinese to enjoy this food!!!
smellyshirley but actually mandarin is difficult to learn😂im cantonese from southern part of china(guangdong prov.) still cant speak mandarin perfectly
visiting Hongkong is a good option for English speakers who want to just enjoy the food.
Shirley...my advice to you is: Just eat the food. No point speaking Chinese to it.
You don't need to learn the whole Chinese language to buy food lol, you could even hire someone to translate things to you
your Chinese friend is cute :D
HARRY LEUNG agreed she was legit hitting in him lol
Think so, i can't speak Chinese, so my hope has gone...
Wonder what Ting Ting looks like while filming. FYI: Ting Ting is the cameraman, who happens to be the girlfriend of Trevor James.
NJ Skyline lol hahahaha
His girlfriend actually filmed the video, I wonder how she feels,LOL.
Amazing people!
You should go visit Jilin. The food is amazing there.
10:30 wtf, I thought eyebrows like that were only in anime hahahah
cool eyebrows 😂😂
maybe u dont believe it, its natural! my grand uncle have that, but I didn't get dat DNA
your mandarin game is tight
Thanks Jay!
Can you speak English as good as he speaks Chinese ?
Chinese History 101 he at least could produced bunch of Chinese vids. He just has accent.
It's much more difficult for English speakers to learn Chinese, don't you think?
Chinese History 101 it's hard for English speakers to talk in Chinese, half the sounds for hard to say
This guy has been eating the most delicious Chinese food while being surrounded by some of the most beautiful Chinese women
When my teacher asked me what I wanted to be when I grow up
I should have said "Trevor" :)
Food looks good. Makes me hungry.
