    Chinese Street Food Shanghai - Chinese Street Food - Street Food China
    Chinese street food and Chinese Food in China is incredibly delicious! So I flew to Shanghai, China and have been eating street food, noodles, and dumplings non-stop. Best Street Food to try! The Chinese food is so good in Shanghai! I've eaten street food in Bejing, street food in Chengdu, street food in Xi’an, street food in Guangzhou, and now, street food in Shanghai. A lot of the street food in Shanghai is similar to other street food in China. You can find some unique Shanghai street food specialties here, like xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), shengjianbao (pan fried dumplings), seafood on the street, and some delicious noodles as well. You can also enjoy countless other street foods in Shanghai, many featured in this video.

    HUGE THANKS to ExpressVPN for offering all Food Ranger viewers 3 months free and 49% off their yearly package using this link: ExpressVPN.com/Thefoodranger . Travelers need ExpressVPN to stay safe online and to unblock any site. I personally use it for Netflix, even while at home in Canada, but also while traveling to unblock content and episodes that are geoblocked, and I also use it for security, because airport wifi and hotel wifi is often very insecure, leaving my data vulnerable. By connecting to one of their servers around the world, it’s just like my computer or phone is in that location, and all data sent while connected to their VPN is secure, safe, and private from others to see, so I know that my data won’t be hacked or looked at by others. Thanks so much for watching, and we have tons more videos coming up for you! Please leave me a comment below letting me know what you thought about this episode, thanks so much!!!

      Thank you so much for this video and tip about VPN. I am from India and I am going to do my first solo budget trip to Shanghai next week.I was looking for places to explore and food to eat. Do you have videos on how to get to these locations? It will be a great help for someone like me who doesn't speak Chinese. Are there food enthusiasts groups I could reach out to for help while in Shanghai?

    Ive seen the worst of Chinese tourist from videos and personal experiences on the daily commute and im ashamed to say Ive judge them wrongly, this video showed me that people from the city where good morals and values does exist or thought are way way different from the people we see in videos, too many times do we forget that in the media today the bad would always take center stage from the good maybe because the bad gets more views. this video showed me the hospitality and generosity that i would never have seen if id only take what the popular media dishes out. Thank you

    • @ohhhy9816
      @ohhhy9816 5 лет назад +5

      In fact, most of the ingredients are not complicated, mainly the cooking process and technology, so businesses are not willing to discuss too much.

    • @Boris_Chang
      @Boris_Chang 4 года назад +2

      And then there are the incidences of unscrupulous Chinese adding wood, plastic, rat meat, and even toxic things to foods. Vendors try to assure you they use “good ingredients” because they know the reputation.

How many westerners do you think speak Chinese? I visited a friend stationed in Germany one time. While he was working I was walking around and seeing the sites. I was offered a ride around to the nearest bridge by someone when the ferry appeared broke down on the other side of the river. My friend told me later that the Germans "didn't do that." Well, obviously they do. Don't judge a country until you meet the locals.

      The jianbing ingredients are really cheap. The lamb was way more expensive. You will pay far less for fast food made from meat in the US. Some things there are much cheaper but some are way more expensive.
      And the "beef" bao had like, a spoon of beef, and otherwise it was just wheat flour (which is virtually free) and oil (which they will not replace as often as you would see in the West.)

    This was the coolest thing ever! I can't speak Chinese nor am I Chinese, but I felt like the Chinese people were my own when I understood what they were talking about. Being of the Samoan culture, respect and reverence are key to our daily lives. Seeing how the Chinese people interacted with one another made me feel like they were Samoan and/or I was Chinese. I would love to visit China, but I'd want to learn basic Chinese before I did! Loved the video man!

    Awesome video. I'm a Canadian planning a trip to China hopefully in September 2021 when the Pandemic situation is neutralized. Does it help to learn Mandarin or some other dialect going to China?

    • @gzh6196
      @gzh6196 3 года назад

      Learning Mandarin will certainly help but it's not easy to learn.. quite a lot people especially the younger ones can speak English nowadays so don't stress too much. Google translate won't work since all google services are blocked over there, unless you have a reliable VPN ready. To sum it up it's not a problem if you're only going to visit big cities like Shanghai Beijing or any of the major cities.
