Hey!! Loved your reel. I applied this year for the masters program as well but was rejected. I do plan to apply next year. Do you have any tips for the reel/portfolio and the motivational video?? Thanks
Hii thanks for stoping by:) Idon’t particularly have any special tips for the demoreel, i just remember one or two advices gobelins staff gave me; they told me for instance that they are mostly interested in people who have stories to tell, so maybe prioritize works that are related to a school or a personal probect (doesnt matter what, concept art, charadesign sheet, anything).
They also told me that its better to put you best works at the beginning and at the end of the reel (kind of a psychological trick idk). As for the motivational video, maybe i could post mine, it may be useful but i have to overcome the cringe :’) if you have other questions you can dm me on instagram @alex_is_funkyy

I really like the background music got a bit of a summer-vacation-in-a-small-town-south-France vibe. May I know who made it with you?😼
The music is "Off to School in the Morning" by Satoshi Takebe and is from the Studio Ghibli film "From up on Poppy Hill" written by Hayao Miyazaki and directed by his son Goro Miyazaki. This is my all time favorite movie lol.
