When you mentioned Nathan having a combination locker I had to laugh because I still have occasional nightmares about not being able to remember the combination to my locker. I graduated high school in 1982. Yes, it was traumatic lol

Great cards! I live in Columbus, OH and cannot wait for it to be in the high 70s to low 80s! The 90 degrees with high humidity (without a pool) is a killer.

Thanks so much for the colored pencil tutorial! I had pretty much forgotten about using gamsol. Loved the cards. In high school I had to go between 3 buildings for my classes, and they were not that close together! One had one floor, the second had 2 floors and the last building had 3 floors plus a basement ( for Gym). It was rough. You could have a class on the 2nd floor of one building and need to go to the 3rd floor of the other building for your next class. Ugh, I don’t miss those days at all. But you managed and you did it cuz you had too!

Kelly, I'm so glad you posted this video! I started working with Prisma pencils last year and had seen a Gina K video where she used the Gamsol so I bought some but have yet to check it out! Actually, I have so many projects that i forgot about it, so now I'm excited to pull them out!!
Good luck to your little "peanut" in his new school environment. It is a bit intimidating at first but I'm sure he'll catch on quickly & love it!
I have Uber respect for teachers. I couldn’t work with kids. All it would take is one smart aleck or disrespectful remark from a kid and I would be arrested lol

I love using Gamsol. However, I never get the dimension from colored pencils. Until you showed me that I need to build up the layers! Yaay. I can now try that out. Love the cards. What is the blending tool that you use. It looks different from the one that comes in the kit.
Great cards, Kelly! I am curious what grade your middle school starts at. Here, our elementary schools now run Pre-K through 4th grade, then there is an intermediate school for 5th & 6th grades. Middle school is 7th & 8th, then high school for the final 4 years. I remember when I started middle school here, back in 1987. I actually started in February, since we moved from Virginia back to Texas then. In Virginia, the elementary schools ran K-6, so I literally went from elementary school to middle school within a couple of weeks. When Mama & I were going over the middle school handbook before I actually started, it mentioned that weapons like guns & knives, as well as drugs, weren't allowed. That literally scared the crap out of me, since I figured if they had to point that out, they must have a problem. Of course, that was way before school shootings were a thing. Thankfully, I never saw any weaponry other than the teachers' paddles. And the closest I ever got to a drug dealer was in my high school art class when I heard a student's pager go off. I had no clue what it was, and asked out loud. I got shushed by a couple of other students who I guess weren't as naive as I & so knew exactly what it was. Oh, what fun.
