I would say these are not for the guy that does HVAC for a living. These are good for the guy who is handy and wants to keep up with their AC unit or has some rental properties and needs to check a unit now and then. Would they stand up to multiple pieces of equipment everyday? I doubt it for the price. However, you never know. I ordered a set just to have at the house and I think it will work great for that. No point in paying $600 for manifold gauges if you use them a hand full of times a year.
no Hate and respect to you and taddy. i agree with you, my elitech "smart" vacuum gauge has crapped the bed on the job and the manifold lasted 3 weeks on the job. thank god for amazon, got my money back and invested in testo probes with a yellow jacket manifold for backup. cool features but not for the mix of commercial/residential i see every week. and the manifold was not waterproof.
Thanks for the review brother, I'm starting to dabble in HVAC as I learn and do more plumbing. Looking to replace the set of hand-me-down analog gauges I have.
I have the Elitech scales and leak detector, I wasn’t sure about the quality of their gauges so I go to Testo’s products. My first set of Testo gauges I’ve had for 13 years and still work great. As far as my Elitech scales and leak detector, going on a year with no problems. I just can’t see spending $600 on Field Piece gauges. I do love Field Piece products, my voltmeter is almost 20 years old and still works great. When the time comes my next voltmeter will definitely be another Field Piece. Thanks for doing the video on the Elitech gauges I’ll probably get a set.
@@TaddyDigest yeah that brand is good but the tools seem sensitive which isn’t ideal for us 😂 I have a leak detector I’ve only used about 10 times but it’s 3 years old so idk how I feel about them
Hey brother, after using these gauges for a while and i read a comment where these gauges leak at the manifold. After all your experience with many different gauges, which digital maifold gauge would you recommend now?
My questions are .....the temp. Probe plugs. Are they specific to their brand ? Or will they fit Testo ? Anyway, Here is my concern. I have both the Testo 550i and a Fieldpiece manifold set. I did NOT get more then a year of light usage from the Fieldpiece before they start leaking refrigerant at the sight glass. I spent close to $600. I need to send them back for repair$. My 1st set of TESTO digital manifold started leaking through the sight glass. They have a tool you can buy to remove the sight glass and repair the leak. Those were $400. .......roughly. They were stolen from me before I got the chance to fix them. Ok, I have my second set of TESTO's and I suspect these are leaking through the seals on the knobs. I am NOT %100 sure because I have been soooooo busy, I put them away and returned back to analog gauges. So, being that these gauges Cost ONLY $170.00 , and are a unknown brand, how long will these last before issues arise AND how available are replacement parts ? I WILL say, its mighty tempting to buy them for a $179. But, if I am gonna have problems with them way before I should, and parts aren't readily available , $179. Is not such a great price after all. Thanks
Howard If you have those sets. YOU need to do a video review after you get the elitech set of gauges. That would be a great review. Definitely a good price I like them they work great so far I use on 5 + units a day
@@TaddyDigest how long have you had them ? Thats the key. These gauges are only a good deal if you can get a few years of trouble free use and have parts to rebuild them.
This set does not monitor vacuum But this set does here www.elitechus.com/collections/new-arrivals/products/elitech-emg-20v-intelligent-2-valves-digital-manifold-with-5-smart-touch-screen
Elitech email me said it only has calculated mode and no p/t chart mode. You shown that it has p/t chart for manual calculation when you push mode button. My conclusion, Elitech tech/sale rep is retard. I like that cheap temp clamps the sensor can be remove and use Velcro in tight space. The replacement also sell on egay. Thank for doing review I'm buying it now.
My Testo 550 are going on 3 years so I've been looking at these, thanks for the vid!
your welcome Glad you watched 👀 😊
Looks good, I have a digital Testo gauge set.
My leak detector is an Elitech however, good brand. 👍🏻
Greetings from the UK 🇬🇧 (again!)

Im lookin hard at the Elitech EMG-40V touch screen, with more features

Do these do the new stuff coming out? R32, R454b ???
Thanks for this? I’ve been searching for something to get the job done.
Glad I could help
Thank you for the review. Do you still use them and how are they holding up if you do?
i do not use them the manifold leaks through and the sensors were easily damaged

Hey man great video. Can you do a tightness test on that like the fieldpiece?
You wanna make a video of it? That would be awesome.🤙🤙

Hey Taddy, whats your view in the elitech gauges a year later?
I don't use them anymore
The sensors were very easily damaged
And the manifold gauge started leaking through
Lol!!! Time will always tell all, glad I seen this question, I almost got them to have for a spare set.
I almost ended up buying these good thing I check comments.
Thank you Taddy.

Are those gauges still working good???
nope
Does it measure vacuum microns?
I'm not sure
What brand of charging hoses are you using for the elitech gauges?
Yellow Jacket plus 2
@@TaddyDigest okay thanks for letting me know about the type of charging hoses that you use with the elitech gauges.
Does it have micron gauge feature for vacuum and if so have you tested it?
