It's funny because I always found the game's art style horrendously ugly and I still hold it to that, but I have kind of begun to appreciate it over time because the game itself is inherently beautiful.
For me it's the seemingly nonsensical but still somehow cohesive blend of the regions and the complicated web in which they connect to each other. This many disparate ideas shouldn't work so well together and feel like a whole world, but it does. I can't stop thinking about this game.
