But If the Earth gradually slows down and stops for one second and then gradually re-accelerates to its normal speed, the scenario he describes would not happen. However, there would probably be other inconveniences if the Earth so much slows down to too low speeds. But remember, the Earth rotates on itself and revolves around the sun at the same time. If the Earth's rotatory movement should slow down or even stop, wouldn't that affect its revolutionary movement around the sun and cause far worse situations.?
Hope we don't collide with another plan😢
Supersonic SPLAAAATTT!
Lots of howling winds, earthquakes, tsunamis, rocks and boulders flying.
It depends on at what acceleration it stops. If it stops in 0seconds then it means it stops with infinite acceleration meaning infinite energy explosion desteoying the universe
Crazy how people are blindly convinced the earth is a globe
Yes because there is reason to believe that... If you are to go to the US from India... Planes travel both over europe and over japan.
You're trolling, right? lol. I don't think it's blindly believing something that's been a proven scientific fact for hundreds of years. Oh, and we can go into space and TAKE PICTURES OF THE EARTH lol
troll
It's crazy how blindly people are led to believe that it's the opposite
Bro forgot that it will stop only for one second 😂
Heavy impact car wrecks happen in a second with a seat belt and it’s still lethal because your body is going keep moving. You’d literally be launched hard asf into the closest object.
That's actually more scary, its an instant stop not a gradual one. If you crash your bike and you slide first until you gradually stop that's safer than a sudden stop like I don't know hitting a concrete wall.
1 second is not like 0.1 seconds
@@anizaazizan530 bro 10 seconds would have passed while you were texting this 🤡
Stunning information.
The voice of the man making the question tho 😳
Larry King, he haunted my childhood on the news
Great answer to a different question. The question was " if the earth stopped for a second" and he answered " if the earth stopped IN a second"
No he did at the end he said if we slowed down with it then everything would be good the days would be very long actually permanent days and nights
Well if earth stoped for a second, it would happen IN a moment not even a second, dummy. 😊
So the same shit diffrent packaging.
he did say at the end if the earth were to slowly come to a stop, then everything would be fine and there would be longer days
Good ear good ear
co pilot: cap we somehow gain speed
pilot: it's free speed :)
Few hours later:
ATC Where we supposed to land?
LOL
Same thing with the falling elevator. Jumping up just before it hits bottom wouldn't save you. When you come back down, you would hit the floor at the same speed you were falling.
People who would be in an airplane could survive the 1 second.
Imagine someone writing a book about it:
"The Stop"
The Day the Earth Stood Still... Literally.
Who would buy it?😂😂😂
@@TheDandonian the earth stood still IS some stuff about nanobots man.
Yeah... that's why I added "...Literally" to my title, cos they've already taken it. @@Griblax
@@TheDandonian That is Not clarifiyng anything.
"They literally Made that" would be highlighting your opinion whilst
Adding "literally speaking" wouldnt.
A few people would possibly survive (you just have to be near enough to the poles
Your forgetting the massive tsunamis from both main oceans
@@mystic5583don’t forget the Indian Ocean. Huge as well.
Flying would be on my bucket list. Not dying is second.
😂😂
Meanwhile the dude standing on the north pole:
The earth tilts 23 degrees so the north pole is not straight up
@@AmilcarPso what
@@AmilcarPdo you understand what the pole is?
Imagine getting hit with feces traveling at 800 mph
😂🎉
That’s where your mind went? lmao
The day the earth stops spinning is the day the earth becomes home to the paste people.
Because you're gonna go splat onto the nearest object at 800mph.

If you were hungry and you were a hotdog, would you eat yourself?
The obvious answer is no. We're already made of meat. We don't eat ourselves. 🙄
*If you were to be a real stupid person and there happened to be a competition for the world's most stupid human being. Would you have enrolled yourself in it to try win that award ??* 🤔
Love it!!

The Earth doesn't rotate. We've all been lied to.

Ok genious

I'm no scientist, but I don't think all of that could happen in the span of just one second
You're right, you aren't a scientist. And it absolutely would.
@ny8956 Do you know how short one second is? We wouldn't even notice that anything happened if it just lasted a single second, we'd know if it lasted a minute but not ONE SECOND also how can be so sure that all of that WOULD happen in a single second?
The ocean will take a world tour and we will have a free car wash 😂
Amazing the mind of the creator who designed, made and put this in motion. Truly awesome. We can only stand in awe and wonder.
This guy is my favorite!! Great teacher❤
Neil was like dying waiting for that question
One of my favorite people in the entire universe!!! (Pun intended) Seriously.. if i had to pick someone to listen to when I'm falling asleep is this brilliant man ❤
He means we will teleport finally
So , the best points to live in such a situation!! Northpole and Southpole!!!
Note he said stopped for a second. That means it would stop and move immediately after. You would start out at 800mph, and theres no obstacle you would slow down to about 400mph.
Imagine breaking the sound barrier as a raw dog human. No super powers. That's a win in my mind.
Imagine suddenly breaking the sound barrier and flying through 6 walls in half a second! If it even registers at all 😂
Everything that's not fixed will bolt at 800mph and not just humans.
Boss yells at me in my office to work faster.....but Boss ...I am already going over MACH ONE.!!!
People on an aeroplane would be safe ig
i was thinking same
I asked this question in geography and science in class out of curiosity in class in the 8th grade and got a different answer from both teachers. now I know. Thank you sir. I was always curious about that somebody needs more education.
"what would happen if the earth stopped rotating for a second?"
"oh yeah, are you buckled up for this?"
