Hi sowmiya. Saw ur video. Nice Q&A. Just I have a suggestion. Having a 2 nd baby is not only for Advik. It's for your future. At some point of time and age , you need 2 children to take care of ur old age. See for example in future Advik settles in some other country , you stays some where else , both your children will share their responsibility. Don't put extra pressure on signal child. And during ur old age you can't expect 3 Rd person or extended family to take care of you both. So now it's right time to have 2 nd baby. sowmiya please take my suggestions. Bcoz I am 57 & my husband is 66 . My only son settled abroad. Now we face horrible days when we fell sick . It's my experience and I don't want you to suffer during later stage ( Important) my son is blessed with 2 children. Bcoz he realized how he suffered being a single child. So please take my suggestion. Thanks.
I'm sorry, but in my opinion I always feel that though I'm having a single child, I must make sure that he or she is growing up in a convenient environment and to be a healthy citizen of the country. As a parent we have to find and plan a retirement plan and not to burden our kids. I know it's hard but nothing is impossible. As Sowmya said don't plan for a baby just for reasons like to have another partner for our single child or to support our old age. By heart when you want a child then definitely you should have another one.
It's my personal view and it might differ from others.... Thanks
I totally second you… hello @jaishree sister : I respect your comment and Thankyou so much for sharing your experience as well.. but at the same time as she mentioned, We actually have a solid retirement plan in place, so we're not relying on our child to take care of us in our old age. We believe in providing our kids with the freedom to pursue their own dreams and lives rather than just depending on them to just take care of us in old age 😊
Second child first child ku supporta iruppanga parents ah oru kulandhaiyaachum paathupanga ninakkaradhey oru expectations thaananga parents unconditionala irunga no expectations pls on children head…expectations and emotional impacts you create to ur child or grown up son or daughter it may affects their day todays life emotionally . Such a competitive world they have to run for their future too. No expectations no dissapointment… my view is this nga if anything hurts you… sorry guys
Hi. Thank you all for sharing your views. But what I am trying to say is, present generation we are not depending our kids on monetary wise but surely we need physically in our old age. Sowmiya do you think your mother and mother in law are advising you anything wrong. They have more experience and would have crossed lot of ups and downs. See we Indians ( Hindus ) have some sort of beliefs, emotions, bindings, bonding, and culture . Every time when you go to Coimbatore knowing or unknowingly your eyes are searching for your brother. just like that you can't deny above things. When Advik grows older he needs a sibling to share good and bad. Like elders around you I am suggesting you to have 2 nd baby and it's up to you - take it are not. I don't want to discuss further. Don't expect your children to be a support for your in your retirement or old age, thts not even a reason for having a second child. Raise your children to be independent and with good values, I think we need to stop judging people for their choices for having a child , child free.
