That was funny! 😂 Btw, I have a palm sander, drill, hammer drill, 2 ladders, carving tools, regular tools, painting tools, a sewing machine, lots of cameras in 3 formats of film 35mm to 4x5, and lighting.
Thanks for the instruction but these videos that take forever to get to bloody point drive me nuts. This video shouldn’t have been more than 30 seconds.
Got a bottle and a lighter ready and waiting since August 2015. All the blown light bulbs came out clean from the socket, never got a chance to try this hack.

Absolutely genius, I had a bulb break, however the LED components were still intact, and it is by far the best idea to remove the bulb without touching any electrical components.
I had to do the old reliable Crimp and Twist with the Needle Nose Pliers since the only bottle I had didn't match the threading. I'll add this to My bag of tricks though. Thanks!

Just make sure the light switch is in the off position that should be fine. If you are not sure then turn off the power at the circuit breaker.

So a plastic soda bottle didn't help because it was the little tiny bulbs.... BUT.... i did find a small piece of plastic and melted it the same way AND IT WORKED! Thank you thank you thank you!
I just tried this trick I couldn't get it to melt to the battle but it didn't loosen it up to the point I was able to pull it out so it's actually worked thanks a lot man I appreciate it
I always use a wine cork. No heating required. Not potentially offensive either.

I just did it and it worked:). I think the heat from the coke bottle is what did it bc the top of the coke bottle didnt fit to be able to unscrew it so I kept lighting it with a lighter and trying to stick it in there but the coke bottle never fit but it loosened the bulb and came out.....Thank you Roman

Bro. You saved my life I was asked to change the bathroom light bulb and when I did I saw a spark and the bottom of the light bulb came off. I panicked and quickly googled it to find your video the pliers worked wonders.

Awesomeee!!! This fucking worked, was trying so many different ways to unscrew it... Just heated the bottle up through the gascooker, ran to my room and put it on the socket,. After 30 seconds or so i could unscrew it!! Cheers

i had a broken bulb stuck in the socket on my porch and its been there when i bought the house. this trick worked! the base seems to be 80 or more years old! the glass insulator on the base is dark blue glass! the base is so old the bulb glass itself is completely gone. keeping the base and finally gonna put a new bulb on the porch!
