Seeing Biryani in Kozhikode, I remembered the film Ustad Hotel (2012).
I also love the song Appangal from that film.
Payasam is a milk-based sweet dish that contains vermicelli, nuts and raisins, it can also come in different variations. It originates from Kerala. It's usually had during celebrations like weddings, birthdays, etc., and also during various festivals. If your a huge fan of it, you can make it yourself easily at home as well. Its called as Kheer up in north India (I wasn't aware of it until recently, I thought they were two different sweet dishes😅!).

If you were in Kozhikode you should've visited 'Muzhappilangad beach' in the neighboring district of Kannur. It is the longest drive in beach in Asia and was voted as one of the top 6 drive in beaches in the world by BBC.
