I gotta try this one, I bet the largemouth in my area will destroy it! Thanks again for a great video, God Bless!

Like it a lot!! Funny timing, been practicing my dubbing loops, just bought the cheap version of material clips and have even spun Sumer rabbit hair a few times. I just need to practice a lot more. I know you do some salt water fishing, do you have some other color recommendations and have you ever done lead eyes and turned the fly over? Thanks again.

Thank you! That’s awesome! Keep practicing and it will come naturally to you soon. Any clip could work, these petejean clips though are amazing. I used to use a homemade system that worked a little but nothing like these clips.
I listed some color recommendations in the description section, but to be honest just use any color combo you want! The ocean is vast, so it’s hard without knowing or having fished the areas you’re going to be fishing to recommend a specific color.
You can totally add lead eyes to turn this over if you want, I would get a slightly longer shank hook, then end the head right behind the lead eyes. The eyes behind the head might make it sit weird, but maybe not so try both ways.

reminiscent of a slump buster. Oddly enough I've never caught a single fish on a slump buster.

Similar yeah, just no cone on front and uses rabbit fur rather than pine squirrel. So the slump buster has to be one of my most productive flies I’ve fished in Colorado. In fact my first large brown was caught on one. A 22-23” brown. What is your favorite and most productive patterns you use?

@@McFlyAngler The largest rainbow I ever caught was on a traditional white wooly bugger on the swing. 20" but then again most of my fishing is nymphing in colder temperatures.

Oh ok, yeah a wooly bugger always works that’s for sure! I like cold water nymphing also. I used to live near the San Juan river in NM. Did a lot of that there. Tiny little midge flies…. It was fun
