- This piece (BWV 558) is the 6th of the "eight little preludes and fugues" formerly attributed to Bach, but now believed to have been composed by one of his students.
This piece is played by Geoff Olson organist of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in St. Paul, MN. The organ is a 30-rank Wicks/Hunt organ, supplemented with a Hauptwerk virtual organ system, using the 1730 Trost organ from Waltershausen, Germany. Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for listening.
This man is one of the workld's greatest interpreters of Bach's organ music. I think he is a genius and I would very much like to thank him. Shaun Caton
Thank-you for your more than generous comments. I learned this piece 50 years ago as a student and continue to include it in my church repertoire. As I a result, I have gotten to know it quite well and, over the years, I have developed my own interpretation. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for listening.
@@GeoffOlson1039 I always listen to your recordings and think you are the greatest interpreter of Bach's little preludes. Huge respect x
Excellent.

I Will learn this piece too now. I’m a first year organ student.
