As simple as switch off the lights before leaving the house is not done inspite of telling again and again politely

Indian society is one of the most conforming societies on earth. People there are almost totally dependent on social and family structures and encoraged to have homogeneous personalities. Try going against what your in-laws or relatives deem appropriate and you will be in big trouble. Only Japan is maybe worse. Sister Shavani is giving excellent advise but I doubt that people who live in Indian families will be able to take it on board.

People are ungrateful they eat my food then they(Kavita Sinha) insult me, I made lunch for her, she ate, then we sat in her car,she said getup u stupid head,then she said , shame on her ,she smokes, I never smoked in my entire life, my husband Narendra sinha , who was driving her car smoked in college years,but she never said anything to him ,she was trying to wedge between me and my husband,she succeeded,and even went for driving lesson with my husband narendra,both came home at night in my house, ate dinner,then she ,her daughter whom I gave juice,her husband Abhay left, her son ate sour cream in my house,but when we went their home they didn’t gave anything to my daughter or my son 😢
