This was actually the prerecorded rehearsal. They had to cancel the Live performance due to a deluge, rain and dangerous lightning! And Yes he had a cold. You could clearly hear his cold and sniffles on his Vlive afterward!
A few fun facts: 1) This was the sound check because bad T-Storms rolled in and GMA cancelled the actual concert. Jung Kook insisted on doing all 3 songs he was going to perform during sound check (he also did Euphoria and Dynamite), so as not to disappoint ARMY (some of whom camped out for 4-5 nights in advance in extreme heat!). 2) Jung Kook had a cold and Still he sounded so good while dancing! Sadly, his cold got worse but he kept performing even at BBC Radio 1 and on BBC The ONE live and recorded for television in the UK. Having watched Suchwita Ep. 15 with Yoongi and Jung Kook, Yoongi talked about being sick half way through his solo concert tour, so maybe he gave some tips to Jung Kook on how to best perform while being sick. They, BTS, really give their all to put on the best performance possible even under such circumstances. I have so much respect for all 7 of them, but Jung Kook's voice and talents really draws me in every time.

Despite having a cold Jungkook sounded so incredible!!! This man is so talented!! I am so proud of him!
He was so sick for weeks ! Sore throat, then to head cold...also he had trouble breathing. He was so worried that his breath would hurt his singing. He still gave us his all! Sounded amazing as always!

This was filmed at dawn!! In a Vlive after the show he said he had a cold and had about 2hrs of sleep(if I remember correctly). Perfect pitch, consummate professional...He did several interviews too. He really is phenomenal. ❤ love your channel! One of these days I'll get the courage to try the singing lesson!!!

Jk was really sick. He had coughing a lot, running nose and different breathing.
This was also just a soundcheck, because it was going to rain really bad so they canceled the rest.

I mean perfect pitch won't help all that much you can still have bum notes you just are more aware of them. I suppose it could help him recover faster though

You can be off key with perfect pitch because nobody is perfect all the time for varying reasons, but as someone else said, they’ll definitely be aware of it when it happens. He doesn’t make mistakes like that often of course, it’s a rare occasion. Even he said while in London that he hit a bum note during his performance there. Btw not everybody with perfect pitch can sing well naturally. Charlie Puth has perfect pitch (and never let’s anyone forget it 😂) but he said he learned how to sing with auto tune. You’d think that wouldn’t be necessary if you have perfect pitch, that you can just do it automatically, but some people can’t. If they want to be a singer they have to learn. It sure is a useful tool for those that can sing though, no doubt about that.

Just a lil recommendation: Dogbird by Madds Buckley. It’s an absolutely beautiful folk-rock-esque song with amazing vocals and a pretty cool music video. I cry every time I listen to it.

He also had a cold while performing and this was the soundcheck. They had to cancel the rest and evacuate everyone in the park due to the insane storm that was heading in... it's raining if you look closely.

It amazes me with how well they SING in english so much easier than regular talking in English. Just true respect for his talents. Love jk and 7 of them
I feel the same. Given English as my 2nd language, I still have my accent despite having lived in the US for most of my life. It never cease to amaze me how well they could sing in English sounding like a native English speaker. With the exception of RM, the other 6 members don’t even speak and understand English that well.

He was sick. It was raining. No rehearsal. This wasn't the performance it was the pre-tape because lightning came in, and he couldn't perform they broadcast this performance.
