Boy does this bring back good memories. Falcon Crest was a top show along with Knots Landing & Cagney & Lacey. Only America could make such good tv in the eighties. From the UK.
It actually made sense that Angela was Richard's mother. They had so much in common both of them had driven by power, had an unyielding vengeance streak and both brillant in business. Richard Channing was only her child who exactly like her.
I really hated this plotline. But Selby is so good I can almost forgive the writers. The scene not shown here where he breaks down over being unwanted really gets to the heart of who Richard Channing is.
I never saw this episode. Wow..He really wanted to connect with his mother after he learned the truth, and she rejected him. No wonder he hated her for some time. She sure was a hard lady. It is hard to find out that her husband's bastard she hated is really her beloved baby son that she thought died.
@@fomalhauto There was another good scene not shown here where Angela goes to her priest and asks how she can love the little boy she gave birth to but hate the man he's become
This was a blow to Angela too. She thought her first born was stillborn and all those years only to find out later, that Her husband and Chase's mother, Jacqueline Perrault did something this horrific, is beyond comprehension!
The revelation that Richard is Angela's son made a mockery of Jacqueline's death when Julia shot her at the end of season 2. "JULIA DON'T SHOOT!! RICHARD IS..." BANG.
Damn, Angela actually made me feel sorry for Richard just now. She was a cold slice for sure and I get her anger. I mean, what would you do if your husband's bastard son that has been trying to destroy you for the last five years is actually your own flesh and blood?
I don't know. I loved this show. The original cast over the 9 seasons was great. Remakes frequently suffer from poor casting, imo. The only remake that I have liked was Nikita with Maggie Q. It had some good actors as the main 5 cast members.
I tried watching the Dynasty remake. Nicollete didn't work as Alexis for me and I hated what they did with the Krystal character. They thought that Krystal being good was boring. Which, imo, is stupid. Then they made her not Krystal, even though Sammy Jo was her nephew. Then there was a different Krystal. Pretty much because they thought Krystal being good was boring, when they started the show. Sammy Jo being a guy was fine. Fallon had more chemistry with her former chauffer than the guy who was supposed to be her eventual husband, Jeff. The only episode that I liked was all the Carrington's trying to build a house in a third world country.

Please No...a remake without Jane Wyman would be foolish. Nothing can compare to the legendary Jane Wyman evil character...she played it so extraordinary and impeccable, I can't see any other women play her role unless they Hire Glenn Close. Jane Wyman was absolutely incredible in this role that it Became a pop-culture phenomenon. And did you mean the 2020's? Because the 2000's was two decades ago now.
@@jiovanna4136 I didn't see a remake... I said a relaunch. Bring back Cole, Lance, Richard and whoever else is still alive (Chase? - we never saw his body). Start the show in 2021 with everyone gathering for the 10th anniversary of Angela's passing.
David Selby..That is where I remember him from. ?? Chase is Already dead ?? I like the pool in the background..A Forshadowing take of events !! Thanks for the upload !! I didn't recognize him without his beard !!
Why is it in season 2 they said that Jacqueline perrault was richard channings mother....and now angela channing is his mother.....what did I miss here.
It was revealed in the season 6 finale that Douglas and Jacqueline stole Richard, as a baby, from the hospital and forged a death certificate to make it look like he died. This was to hurt Angela because the two hated Angela so much. ruclips.net/video/tLslk9is5-Q/видео.html
@tomtagliente1464 is blocking replies. So Jacqueline Perrault came in front of Richard when Julia aimed her gun at him ??? She died for nothing. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I think she started to thaw when she realized that Richard was her baby that she thought died. I feel Richard felt the same about Angela. Plus, they saved each other from death.
Isn't it amazing how The House has had such bittersweet Funerals. Jason's Funeral in The Pilot Episode, then Carlo Agretti after he got Murdered. Then Chase's Funeral. Those Two are more alike than they realize. Ruthless, Power Hungry, Selfish, Mean & Cruel.

Very true
all the greats of the 80's...jr.ewing,alexis carrington, and tough as nails...angela channing...
Boy that last scene between Angela and Richard was great
I know.. the music!
Had no idea David Selby was in this show until just recently, largely cuz, to me, he will always be Quentin Collins FROM DARK shadows.
Love the scene between Angela and Richard. Wishex someone would bring this back. Never missed this show until Season 9 when it became rather stupid.
Yeah that's my favorite one I have a real heart for him
Like Maggie's stupid death !!
Stupid?? At Season 9??? It started to get stupid at Season 3.
Loved Angela's power suit in that first scene!
Sharing your memories of chase??? Lmao
Angela was always good for one liners
I loved her for saying that.

You could see and hear the pain in Richard's voice when Angela said her son died 45 yrs ago when he was right in front of her. THAT'S anguish!!!!
This was one of Angela's most savage moment in the series.
I wish they would do a reboot of Falcon Crest.
Do parrots brush their teeth with Falcon Crest?
Nothing tore me up worse than realizing my mother decieved me in her will and already deeded propery to my narc brother golden child.

RETCON. But you are also correct.
Did she really hate him
yes, they were ruthless enemies. She resented him when she thought he was her husband's bastard son

One of the worst storyline plot twists
in prime time soap opera history.
Not at all. It makes complete sense. It was a great twist!

Carlo Agretti's funeral was not held at Angela's house. It was held at the Tuscany Valley Cemetery.
