    Great weight saving and stopping power. Plus less heat transfer. They do require DMC pads also.

      Actually, we have been advised by the manufacturer that pad material may be more flexible than you think.

    Hello i have an incoming Streetfighter V4SP in the next months…..i was looking for improving the brakes….Because for me the brakes are the first thing that change on your bike or on your car…..and so i saw your video….thanks for it and for the infos….
    But i have some questions to ask you and even my infos to tell you….
    The first thing is….since i have some cars that have carboceramic brakes i know in the automotive world that you must bring the complete package that is discs pads and calipers for carbo ceramic because the heat can melt the standard (steel) pots of the calipers and since of that same thing with pads…..so sicom produce discs and pads to be put together…..and i saw it has also the calipers with ceramic pots (i mean pumping elements) inside….that are wonderful….so i noticed you mounted them with another caliper that is not their (from sicom) but your caliper has ceramic pots also?
    Because my main question is (since of what you done) i have on the V4SP the same calipers of the v4 panigale superleggera that are the brembo Stylema R….so really good calipers but i don’t think they have ceramic pots but they have really a good system of heat dissipation….so can i mount the discs and obviusly the pads alone or should i bring also the sicom calipers???? Here in italy where i am are the 2 front calipers alone are about 1800€….and not only the are 108 mm radial so i know that i must change something else…..
    If you will have time to answer to me….i will appreciate soo soo much!
    Thanks for your time….and compliments your bike is wonderful and really fast….for a naked i will do what is possibile even me to make it a beast!!!!

    Can I run Brembo 320mm t drives on a standard Ducati V4r

    • @SuperbikeUnlimited
      @SuperbikeUnlimited  3 года назад +1

      To go down on disc size on an otherwise standard motorcycle, you would have to cut the caliper mounting area on the fork.

    • @tomvermoesen
      @tomvermoesen 3 года назад

      If you use 320mm just put the spacer that is between the caliper and fork bottom behind the caliper, as if it were a washer. The spacer is 5mm thick so this will center the discs perfectly since they are 1cm larger. Advantage is that you won’t scratch the wheels when taking off the calipers

    my only concern would be wet weather... the GP bikes switch to the T-Drives in the rain, are these carbon discs in the rain equal in stopping power to the steel ones? or are they compromised. Thank you for your time in advance

    • @SuperbikeUnlimited
      @SuperbikeUnlimited  4 года назад +2

      This is not a full carbon rotor, it's a carbon ceramic. This is the same type of composite that's used on automotive applications - they work fine wet and cold.
