The performances in the film were top-notch too - Rebecca Hall and Tim Roth nailed it -

Fresh is absolutely legit! The tone, music, acting, comedy, everything about it really earns the name Fresh. This is literally such a sleeper, and the humor doesn't make it seem like a traditional horror/comedy, it just works so well.

Censor looks similar to Black Swan which I absolutely loved so much but it definitely isn’t considered a horror but it’s one of those that looks like a psychological thriller and those are my favorite. The Sacrament made me physically ill. That Jonestown massacre story is just so horrific I really didn’t enjoy that one at all. Resurrection should come with a trigger warning for those who have survived abusive relationships because woah that film took me places for sure!!! I am going to watch Hatching and fresh from this list 😎👍😉
Censor was a top 20 film of 2021, a change of pace story you haven't seen before, although yeah, not your typical horror movie, more of a dark thriller.
I’m 2 movies into the list. Hatching was enjoyable albeit slightly underwhelming given the predictable psychological pretext however still a decent watch. But Piggy? Holy shit! Awesome flick, had me on the edge of my seat. Next up Resurrection then Gaia. I have Fresh still have to watch that too. Thanks for doing all the legwork, your picks never disappoint

So I’m watching your list and was very surprised at the opening shot in your review of Resurrection. I knew immediately that it was shot in my home town. I knew that building immediately. I looked it up and yeah, filmed in Albany, N.Y. Very cool.
as a person who consumes media from other languages like Anime and KPop, it makes me sad how many people won't watch other language films or expierence anything in another language. other languages consume our media no problem and i understand people don't want to read they want to just watch, but damn are they missing out on some great entertainment. i think that is def. why a few of these movies fly under the radar. hope you are having a great week sending you love from Maryland! xoxo
Started with three of the best horror flicks I've seen in the past few years: Hatching, Fresh, and Censor. Love these films. I keep urging friends to check out more foreign horror but no one wants to read subtitles or listen to another language and watch what's going on. I love putting on subtitles, muting the film, and watching everything that's going on.

Wow I actually watched 9 out of 10 of these movies so many Great ones especially Love Hatching, Fresh and House of Darkness with Justin Long who's Good in everything he's in I would also recommend Goosebumps season 1 Justin Long is so Good in that the only movie I haven't seen yet is the Sacrament so many times I've been close to watching it only to choose a different movie I'm definitely going to watch it soon 😎👍
