As an avid consumer of horror movies this channel is a breath of fresh air. You don’t recycle the same movies and you don’t take too long to sell how good these movies are. Keep going man!
I just found your channel a few weeks ago and you are already my favorite horror channel by far, I love your style I love your vibes, you are perfect 🥹
you are unmatched when it comes to these lists. I've got a little notebook i bring out to write down the movies you suggest. i always know i will find something badass to watch through your suggestions. can't wait to see your channel continue to grow. xoxo
Thanks again for another great list! Joining in the chorus celebrating *_Crimes of the Future,_* which is absolutely outstanding. For a dystopian body horror noir sex thriller, it has an awful lot of hope and tenderness. It's Cronenberg at both his leanest and his sweetest. All the performances are terrific, but Kristin Stewart is especially great in this. This film snaked its way into my brain and stayed there for weeks after seeing it. It's probably not for everyone, but I unreservedly recommend it.
These are the only ones I can think of excluding Bone Tomahawk of course. Gallows walker Dead birds The Burrowers Pale door Blood moon Death Rider in the House of Vampires Dead in tombstone Cowboys VS. Zombies A lot of these are very low budget but fun! Hope this helps.
Salvation (with Morgan from the walking dead) Brimstone(with guy Pearce)the Proposition,Godless with Jeff Daniels are all highly entertaining westerns with a horror edge in my humble opinion 👍🔥
Kainan, I’ve been following you since practically when you started this channel. I’m the first person ever to send money during your very first live stream, so believe me when I tell you that you HAVE to watch “The Coffee Table”! This movie is insane. I can’t say more without spoiling it for you. Just trust me on this one. 2:152:22
Dashcam was so fun! I couldn't stop laughing and loved Annie Hardie. Crimes of the Future is also a great gritty sci-fi flick that reminded me a lot of Blade Runner.
Several on here I hadn't seen. Bone Tomahawk went way under my radar and I love Kurt Russel and Patrick Wilson. Appreciate you Kainan for the deep dives you do to keep your lists varied. At time of this posting, In the Earth and The Clovehitch Killer are no longer on Hulu but they are on Prime Video to rent.
If you quit Dashcam because of the lead, you are doing yourself a huge disservice. I'm only 45 minutes into my first watch and it's so intense I had to stop and make this comment. THANK YOU for the amazing recommendation!
Bone Tomahawk is so good! That one specific scene you referenced...traumatizing! So damn good! Run is also really good! Trying to comment without spoilers is hard! I'm just saying I definitely recommend them!
Hey there! Just discovered your channel and I adore your energy, and your recommendations are great! I was curious which of those movies features the thumbnail for this video?
Ooooooooo Kainan B! What a faaaabulouz list. I have avoided a few of these movies, but now I will give them a try. I hope you don't mind or think it rude, but you look stupendous, healthy and robust! Whatever you are doing keep it up!!! From your unofficial horror loving granny.
Great list! I'm with you & absolutely love Western Horror movies, so I'd really appreciate seeing your list! I agree,...there's a woeful amount of them out there unfortunately. Ravenous being in my top 5. I recently watched Organ Trail & really like that. The Wind is another recent one that is great.
I was lucky enough to get to see David Cromberg’s Crimes of the Future at our local Indianapolis TIBB’S DRIVE IN THEATER LESS THAN A MILE AWAY FROM MY HOUSE ( I might add) with TITANE!!! And I liked both films! I really love this Drive in! Break out a bunch of Quilts and over stuffed pillows and my little baby Yorkie (Sweeky) and a local pizza place 🍕 and a bunch of drinks in a cooler and some Government grown smoke and some 🍿 MOVIE popcorn 🍿 and I am in heaven. I love your RUclips channel by the way! F’in 👍 great stuff!
Tremors 4 is a good popcorn western horror. Well, kind of. It's tongue in cheek that takes place in the old west. Maybe not for everyone, but I enjoyed as part of the Tremors lore.
New here. But wanted to say thank you for what you do. Slowly becoming a huge fan. I may have missed your take on the movie Craving. Small indie. Just leaving that here. Checking out Sting this weekend.
Hey Ghost Pirate, I just finished watching the movie The Dark And The Wicked for the second time. This movie as well as the first Paranormal Activity and Hereditary chilled me to the bone. Has there ever been a horror movie(s) that genuinely chilled you to the bone? Thanks
There's a music track during Titane that I think is one of the greatest songs in recent memory. Dancing firemen scene, Future Islands... The main actress puts her heart and soul into Titane amazing performance.
Another great video! Not sure if you've covered this one or not, but I recently watched a really cool movie on Hulu called The Cursed. Folk/ Gothic horror with a very different and surprising spin on the werewolf trope definitely worth checking out if you haven't yet. Love the channel bro!
Yeah I’ve actually talked a bunch about the Cursed, it was even in this weeks other Video the top 20 Werewolf horror movies list. But I reviewed a few years ago when it was first in theaters. I’m a big fan
I know I might get some hate for this but Dashcam is a super fun horror and it’s awesome to watch Annie Hardy get terrorized over the course of the night.
I have watched so many movies the last week trying to catch up on all these hidden gems. WER was something you recommended and it was better than expected.
Oh, yes...western/horror, one of my favorite subgenres. Here are my paltry recommendations...paltry as there are so few to choose from. #1...Ghost Town 1988. Yes, its cheesy in that late 80's kinda way, but it is a lot of fun. A small town sheriff searching for a missing woman goes though a time slip and finds himself back in the 1800's. That's all I'll tell you. #2...Shadow of Chikara. Joe Don Baker and Sondra Locke 1977. Saw this on t.v. when I was a teen and was so impressed I remember it to this day. Almost impossible to find but if you do...watch it. Dark, gritty, and damn spooky. Thanks again for another heads up. Keep them coming and I'll keep watching. ☮♥😊 You da💣
Excellent video as usual.I love western themed horror movies. One i love, and a lot of people don't consider a western (and maybe not even horror) is Ravenous (1999).
I also get why folks might easily be irritated by Dashcam, but I appreciated its unique hook with the annoying protagonist. It held my attention throughout.
Saw Bone Tomahawk when it first hit physical, then had a friend (who isn't huge on horror) watch it two years ago, and they really enjoyed it as well. Wasn't a genre mix I'd really seen before, but it worked. The only other film that I can compare it to would be Ravenous, but I wouldn't exactly call that a "western".
Really cool list...I would like to recommend an sort of horror western Gallow Walkers staring Wesley Snipes and on a lighter note Tremors 4 the Legend begins.
More great suggestions. I've only seen two of these movies: I also am a huge fan of David Cronenberg, but alas, I can name over a dozen of his films that I liked better than Crimes of the Future. It has some interesting ideas and visuals, but I felt aloof from it. It just didn't grab me the way I hoped it would. Still, I certainly wouldn't tell anyone not to watch it. Bone Tomahawk is something special. Not like anything else I've. ever seen. A rare horror Western. And yeah, if you can come up with a top ten list of Western horror movies, I'd love to see it.
Off topic, is Slither CGI? IMHO its right up there with the original Thing as greatest body horror movies. Would love to see your favorites in that genre, you rock!!
Hi Kainin! Man is there anyway you can do like a 10 best inbred movies where they live up in the Appalachian mountains and get hunted!!! Preferably on Tubi! Keep up the good work Good Sir.
Ravenous , Curse of the Undead , The Burrowers , Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat , And God Said to Cain , Inn of the Damned Grim Prairie Tales , Enter the Devil , The Shadow of Chikara , The Last Confession of Alexander Pearce , Blood River , A Knife for the Ladies The Hatred . Here is a few for you with my top pick 1st
Cowboys and Aliens is one of my favorites. Anyone that hasn't seen it, I can recommend. I enjoyed Bone Tomahawk, but I'm not sure I would have enjoyed it as much if it had a different cast.
I would like to see a Western Horror list. Here are some of my picks: The Wind (Shudder) The Hopewell Haunting (Tubi/Amazon) more of a depression era western. Where the Devil Roams, the new one by the Adams family on Tubi. (Also depression era) I would also argue that The Devils Rejects is definitely a modern day western.
I can’t lie he has excellent taste in movies and I would certainly watch anything that he recommends great work and amazing channel keep up the great work 😎😎😎👍👍👍👍

Hell, I may bump it up more just because it stuck with me and made me think and...feel. THRILLED to see Bone Tomahawk get a shoutout here! Loved it!!
Reese Shearsmith from the first film is a great actor. Psychoville is definitely one of his funniest and darkest series. It’s obscure but if you like twisted British humor check it out. Skits about serial killers and their overprotective moms, drunk amputee clowns, and much much more!
Here are some western horror movies; The Burrowers, Dead Birds, and Grim Prairie Tales (it's an anthology). There was one with some train robbers who had to fight a town full of witches. I can't remember the name.
As an avid consumer of horror movies this channel is a breath of fresh air. You don’t recycle the same movies and you don’t take too long to sell how good these movies are. Keep going man!
Great critique. This guy is smart and well spoken.
Sea Fever is another great film.

Bone Tomahawk is incredible and one of the few movies that left me shocked
one of the most brutal kill scenes in that one...
Just wanted to say I love your channel. Also, I completely agree about Dashcam. I really enjoyed it. Have a wonderful weekend 😊
Can't wait.
Greetings from Netherland
Excellent job. Especially bone tomahawk and cronenberg❤😂
der Bone Tomahawk ist echt krass, da man so gut wie nie eine Mischung aus Horror und Western findet. Bester Cast und komplett strange
I really like the western horror flick “The Burrowers”
The Burrowers is a must for any Western/Horror list. I imagine Ravenous needs to be there too. After that, I have to start stretching...
i HIGHLY concur !
@@michaelburke4048deadbirds if you haven’t seen it
"Dead Birds" 2004 with Henry Thomas

A lot of these are very low budget but fun!
Hope this helps.
Thank You for the List and Video 😀
Always a great day when you upload 🤟🏽
Horror enthusiast here.
Wow.
Most of them I've never heard of.
You've got a new subscripted.
The Wind is a slow burn Western horror movie that I rarely hear discussed. I don't remember it much but it it is the rare Western horror film.
The Wind is pretty good, I agree. So is Bone Tomahawk. We need more horror westerns!
YES! Absolutely riveting and unnerving. HIGHLY reccomend!
I really liked The Wind! Yes, slow burn, but engaging throughout the film. Very well done IMO.
Salvation (with Morgan from the walking dead) Brimstone(with guy Pearce)the Proposition,Godless with Jeff Daniels are all highly entertaining westerns with a horror edge in my humble opinion 👍🔥
Thanks..I will Check that movie out too👍🏾
Oh man Ultrasound is amazing. I recommend that one to absolutely everyone. Whiplash with the twists and creative plot. It's nuts.
Oh yeah, really liked The Clovehitch killer. 🖤
Also RUN was great.
Run was so good! Definitely going to check out Bone Tomahawk this weekend!
Bone Tomahawk is fantastic
Bone tomahawk is savage❤️
You'll be even more glad you're not a man.😮
I just said the same thing about Bone Tomahawk 😃😃😃
I found bone tomahawk boring and not scary at all...but that's just me...
"Twisted, uncomfortable" films...where?..I'm all over that. Thanks GP
Thanks again! Have a kick ass weekend!!! I still think you should cover Starry Eyes if you havent. Its great

For your Western horror list: Ravenous, if you don't already have it. I don't know how that movie isn't better known.
Yeah it will for sure be on the list
My Western horror 🐐is "The Pale Door"
I'm impressed with how many on this list are new entries from you, thanks!
Dashcam was fun and wild in the end 👍🏻 I agree . You kinda start to root against her lol 😂
With the movie Ultrasound I could of sworn that the actor was Wil Wheaton.....lol
I agree I was so happy I saw lamb in the theater
Yes - definitely would like for you to do a top 10 western horror movie video. One of my favorites is The Wind.

@GhostPirateEntertainment awesome thanks! That image is chilling. Probably going to watch every one of these.
Great list. A couple on here I haven't seen and am interested in! Especially "In the Earth". Sea Fever is not to be missed!
Western Horror Shows?! Yes! Yes! I would love for you to do a list of. Unfortunately I can’t think of anymore, not much help am I.
Calling it 'horror' would be a stretch, but I loved the movie Cowboys and Aliens.

Jesse James Meets Frankenstein's Daughter (thank you, Bob Wilkins!)

Cowboys and Aliens is one of my favorites. Anyone that hasn't seen it, I can recommend. I enjoyed Bone Tomahawk, but I'm not sure I would have enjoyed it as much if it had a different cast.
