"Opera" - Behind the Art...

“𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗔” - 𝗕𝗘𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗧…
The “Opera” cover was a huge effort that seamlessly incorporated different forms of art (photography, painting, graphic design). In an increasingly technological and hectic world, where “content” is replacing art and algorithms are replacing artists, we decided to involve not one but five creative minds, gathering a unique team of Italian talents that worked tirelessly for months on this stunning artwork: visionary photographer Francesco Esposito, artist extraordinaire and award-winning pastelist Felicita Fiorini, graphic designer Ludovico Cioffi and make up-artist Valentina Parrino, supervised by Martina McLean.
Our beloved singer Veronica is the heart and soul of this incredible painting, that follows the path traced by world renowned baroque artists such as Caravaggio and Artemisia Gentileschi.
The cover art portrays Veronica as Music, a superior entity that defeats the social and artistic decay of modern age.
We strongly wanted her on the “Opera” cover because she embodies everything we inherited from the Italian operatic and theatrical music tradition.
After the photoshoot, Esposito created a detailed 3D model of an ancient wrecked theater around Veronica, in order to give Felicita a proper visual reference before she could put her impressive skills at work. The whole artwork was then finalized by Ludovico, who also offered us his precious contribution with a beautiful, handwritten logo and the best CD and vinyl booklet art we had in our entire career.
