Agreed, it's the most natural simcade physics available, they absolutely struck gold back in Motorsport 3/4 and i'm glad it's been kept this way
Yea, FH's physics are absolutely unmatched by any other game, they are easy to learn and feel, but also enjoyable and take time to master (with assists off) but if you manage to do this you'll have incredible fun!
I never got into the crew 2 because of the physics.
Actually, i think that FH5 physics are too simplified and I would like to see a driving model like F1 games - something between arcade and simulation
@@krychel1263 they're not as simplified as they seem, they do have their flaws like the weird rollovers that seem to not end, but otherwise it's close enough aside from tyre grip on some cars wich is intentionally broken by desing
Horizon Physics, NFS customization, WALKABLE garages and a Town square to meet other players. Along with making shops separate from your personal garage. Thats the perfect formula for a racing game.

Horizon 5 has only Improved since Brown Left and there is no way that is a Co-incidence ! as it should be noted that Brown coming on Board is also when Horizon started to go wrong (FH3 Hot Wheels re-aiming the Series purely at Children, FH4 going very FOMO Based, etc) and big time!
It was Brown, not Microsoft (as if it was them, FH5 would still be as Bad as it was around about Fordzathon, it would not have made the massive Improvements it has made since then!) that was Killing Horizon stone Dead! he is, going on his tenure at Horizon (FH3 Hot Wheels to FH5 Hot Wheels) a good PR Hype Man, but quite Clearly utterly Incompetent otherwise, and I do not expect anything but a Disaster with this Game, thats if MS does not just Buy Maverick and Shut them down to "End the Threat", resulting in the Game, once Modified by PGG to Fit a PEGI 3 Rating, Eventually getting Released as Horizon 7...

Him getting fired or leaving was best step for Forza ever, why would anybody care?
No Idea, as indeed, Horizon has only Improved again since he Left (like you, as much as he says he quit, I personally think he probably got Fired!), so I do not expect anything decent from him.

I hope this means we get a game like Driver: San Francisco. That game had an amazing story and great gameplay. Shame nothing has done something similar to come close overall since
I would like to see a proper story, car progression, and a relation between the characters that makes us either want to chill with them or challenge the in a 1v1. This is one thing I do like since it makes me feel a part of the game and that’s something the newer titles sort of phased out.
I hope they do this right. Encouraging risk can be good if there are reasons for it and energy is funneled in the right directions. Allowing risk could also just as easily lead to lots of interesting ideas and concepts that aren’t fully realized or feel tacked on. Mike’s track record is certainly promising.

Multi-storey car parks, in the open world. NFS customisation. Forza Handling. Garage inspection. ECU tuning. Party radio broadcast so you can all share the same vibe with custom songs.
Maybe he left because he wants to make a racing game that is available for not just Microsoft but also for Sony Platforms I am excited to see what it will be like so I guess he is a car guy

Give Torben Ellert a Chance, now I agree that he has got some massive Shoes to Fill as Ralph Futon made Horizon what it was, but, with how much FH5 has improved since Torben took over, I think he may, just, be able to pull it off if MS lets him!
It would be fun to also be able to leave your car and walk into stores and test drive cars at dealerships
Oh yes, another race game, and I mean that the most positive way since it’s my favorite genre. Guys that have knowledge of the secret sauce (very much agree with FH having that sweet spot), can be a good sign. Unless, they think they need to reinvent the wheel and go for something else. The Achilles heel in FH are the stories (imo too cringey) and the need of some new features (maybe some Hill Climb, 2 car Rally Cross mode, full Rally Cross mode with implementation of a Joker round, drag, …).
Also a FH fan and when The Crew Motorfest released the Closed Beta, I was surprised at first on how I enjoyed it, and bought the full game. But tbh, it didn’t last for me personally and after Mike Brown & Co left, FH5 became better. Not because of him leaving perse, but probably because other people brought in some fresh ideas and the release of TCM of course. FH5 has also one of the better roads in terms of leveling (high/low roads) especially the Rally DLC.
That’s why I’m also a bit intrigued what Test Drive Solar Crown could bring different into the genre. They all can exist besides each other as long as they can implement some secret sauce ingredients of their own. I did fall off myself from playing TCM myself (will give it another go soon).
That being said, the game of Maverick Games is somewhat far away. Haven’t followed how big that team is now or is going to be in a couple of years, but having Amazon as a publisher is a good thing imo.
FH6 also have the ability to keep the best things and make some other exciting things to reach a new level. Hopefully not just copy/paste with another map and play it too safe. I imagine it will be this gen only? Time schedule 2025/2026 if some news will be given during some of the game events (MS event since it’s still first party).
The guys that compromise this studio absolutely do not know the secret sauce...
What you were saying at 6 min mark is spot on. the cars loss personality in this game if they had a story it would fix that. beating bosses with cars you cant get and a threw z progression style story with forza physics would have me hooked

Doubt it. That game has all the call signs that it’s been in development hell. I hope I’m wrong but my bet is it’ll flop
Not so fast. The environment in TDUSC looks dead with no people anywhere like I am Legend. The buildings look extremely low quality and generic. There won't be any houses at launch because Nacon already confirmed that. And the physics look cartoonish and not very sim like with cars bouncing around like a pin ball machine when they crash. But hey, I'm probably wrong and it will be great.

What I think happened is they were really busy developing FH6 at the time with using the new game engine when we were getting all those recycled cars. But after Mike Brown and others left, PG decided to delay FH6 for a year (FM got delayed 6 months aswell so we would have 2 years between games) and that's why we started getting good updates again. I hope to be wrong but I don't think we are getting FH6 this year.
More like Playground Games are holding off the next Forza Horizon title until they finish the development of Fable. Something tells me that Mike Brown was likely the driving force that got Playground Games assigned for Fable, as it could be an open-world adventure, but then he left, so the entire studio is now burdened with Fable until they are done. Continuing support of Forza Horizon 5 is likely slowing down development, so we're going to wait until 3 years for the next Forza Horizon to be announced should Fable release at that time frame.
An open world gacing game with sim like handling is what many people want. That is the reason why NoHesi is so popular

Sounds like what FH1 should have fleshed out to be. NFS story mode with Test Drive Unlimited open world experience.
They’ve got to add police chases with higher heat levels and a good story action adventure mode. This kind of reminds me of nfs payback if they do something like it with nfs and forza mixed this will be cool
An open world racing game with progression is much needed. I hope its more like NFS where you can start the story over and over again with a separate online mode

would love to that happen along with: Visual engine upgrades with visible turbo kits, ECU Tuning, Cold Air intakes etc. and tandem drift battle events, where your drift with the AI. the drift events must also involve clipping points and zones just like real drift events.
One thing I do like about Amazon video is they seem to embrace riskier titles more than other studios. Hopefully that transfers to their gaming a little.
Think about any game series you truly love. And look at how much love devs put into it. You either make a game from the heart or for the money.

For me forza will never be replaced cause its always had a piece of my hearth... since fh3 ( when i watched video in yt bc at the time i didnt have an xbox) , and now fh5 due to the last great update is still a very good game.
But if me the campaign is not truly immersive (that is not the game experience cause in fh5 it truly is one of the most immersive one) and id be curious to see something with a cool backstory similar to the nfs experience but maybe in different place with more cars etc.
Talking seriously, considering its in a collab with amazon and bezos has money and the developers are good we'll see something cool.

This does sound like a win win situation. I can have Forza to fuel my car addiction, because this franchise is all about the cars, and the new Maverick title for progressive game play. There is definitely a niche there and if they bring Forza physics not arcade style driving and a good real world car list (no Gran Turismo fantasy creations) then I would be interested in playing alongside Forza.
What gran turismo fantasy? Vision gt they are collaboration with manufacture to come up with new design/ concept that will eventually be in production car

Forza has top notch arcade handling and widest automotive brands alongside with gran turismo, nfs has customization, city environments & police system. the crew has event creativity, and test drive has real life miscellaneous
honestly, forza with more car customization alone, giving specific characters their own, very unique build out of a vast bucket of modifications would alone make forza horizon feel more immersive. if rami had his own rally car for grit reapers that he would give to you for becoming the best grit reaper, or a super street race car for beating the marathon, with cutscenes that really bring out rami's attachment to the car, while the car has very specific sets of upgrades that lets rami's soul come out through the car, would be much better, kinda like fast and furious. if rami's special rally car had something like a specific livery, rally-type rims, white, or dare i say purple tyre lettering, a unique rally-style body kit, a specific car sound, and a specific driving characteristic, that would alone make forza better. if you COULD replicate rami's car with the stock version, that would be cool as well, just if you like the body kit or whatever, but that car you built yourself wouldn't EXACTLY be rami's car, and due to the story attached to rami and his car, it will always feel different. like in need for speed heat, anna and her 350z is a car and owner pair with a lot of story behind it. yes, you can replicate anna's car with your own, but it doesnt feel the same. with nfs heat levels of customization, or better, and being a more story driven game, with fh5 physics, more detail, fresh, new, constantly being worked on to make it better, no dlc's you have to pay for AFTER the ultimate/premium edition packs, more dynamics, and not restricted by the limits of old gen consoles, or rather, not restricted by consoles at all, would be absolutely amazing. think about it. fh5, with way more customization than nfs heat, way more story and emotion, better visuals, higher detail, better sounds, more dynamic and realistic additions (like turbo spool and flutter behaviour, and the ability to change the behaviour of it, how it spools, the type of flutter it has, what type of surge protection it has, like a bov or a recirc valve if you dont want flutter, things like that) the ability to go into a menu and open the hood/bonnet to show of a beautifully modified engine bay, proper car meet style, wouldn't it be perfect?

As much as I have a love for the Forza Franchise, seeing something that could possibly have a good rivalry is good to see! maybe it could give more company’s inspiration to get into the field of Open World Racing games, maybe even Playstation could get something to compete.
Would I be wrong in saying I miss the days of FH1 and 2? They had a special charm all the modern games lacked... I have a hope to see their new games nod to that charm. Horizon feels so dead and corporatized now... Maybe this will feel a bit like the good ol FH games of old. Or at least have some of that special flare. That real car enthusiast flare.
(I miss the old car meet spots and 1v1 challeneges so much...)

I'm gonna wait until I see a trailer for this game before I can make any suggestions for the developer's until then my predictions for June 9th 2024 is that we'll either get a teaser trailer for FH6 or we'll be getting an announcement for FH6 my reasons as to why is cause Fable doesn't have an exact release date and according to articles that Fable might be releasing in 2025 and not to mention that on November 9th 2024 it'll be 3 years since the original launch of FH5 back in 2021 but if I'm wrong then I'll come back to this video and I'll admit that I was wrong but anyways that's my thoughts and opinions on the new racing game from Maverick Games and FH6 so anyways peace ✌️

Competition is always healthy, as forza has none really. Nfs lacks in handling physics and car variety, the crew also has too arcady physics and also could be taken away any day, test drive isn't even out yet and who knows when it will eventually come out.

honestly the best racing game possible would be:
-assetto corsa physics (but a bit more polished)
-a map like nfs 2015
-car customization like night runners and need for speed mixed together
-fh5's car catalogue but more tailored to car enthusiasts with ACTUAL enthusiast cars (unlike most of the trash that fh5 has)
-a decent story
-about as polished if not more polished than need for speed games that have been out for 2 years (at least EA fixes the bugs unlike forza)
-ability exit your car
-built in lobbies for car meets, racing etc
-a way to actually play with garages (sort of like night runners and also be able to buy new ones like in GTA)
I used to call Forza " The Pokemon of cars ". I'm going to say the worst thing to say to be meant as a complement "I hope Maverick's game becomes the Gensin Impact of Cars"

Competition is great! but feel it would be the same old story. Maverick Games release a good/ok game, only to be bought by Microsoft and then dissolved with no new ideas adopted. Forza remains the same...ish.
I don't think Microsoft will even allow this Game to launch! I think they will Buy Maverick, Cancel the Game, and Shutter them long before it even gets a chance to Launch! If it does come out, it will be only once PGG has Edited it to match a PEGI 3 Rating and then Releases it as FH7...
