As much as I don’t want the series to end I think it would need a serious overhaul to make the next game the best and make it actually fun to play, but I don’t think playground games has that in them anymore and I think it will end on a sad note and be another reused game at a different map

Again I agree trailers aren’t looking good but saying “look how it turned out” means it has happened aka a fact or something that has happened that’s where it comes into play. Had you said “FM8 isn’t looking promising in its overhaul” different story but you were saying it as a matter of fact clown. For all we know the reboot could be great… probably not but at this point you can’t say look how it turned out when it hasn’t released

All I want is for FH to return to its roots. The whole game is about the Horizon Festival which included a feeling of simplicity. After FH3, it just felt like PG focused more on locations and graphics.
It was always the main focus of the horizon series for years
I also liked how they didn't include the clothing items in fh3 and it was a finished game
The campaign was actually fun in fh
horizon 1 was a masterpiece, the festival actually felt like a festival, there were cutscenes and character dialouge, and they weren't so worried about appealing to everyone and trying not to offend anyone, making for a better game

If they combined Motorsport with Horizon they would make a huge comeback. Horizon festivals already have their own tracks but think about it on a bigger scale. Having a festival next to the Nurburgring but you can also leave and go free roaming
I know fans of both would go mad at that, but I would absolutely love it. But it would be crucial to allow for the two different handling models to be available to the player otherwise, yup it'd make a lot of people unhappy.
I've p[reviously suggested Germany/Switzerland as a location - you could drive the nordschleife, then drive up into the Alps, then down into that valley with the airstrip dragstrip where all the hypercars go to do drag pulls. Not going to happen but I'd love to be able to drive the more serious handling model of FM in an open world.

@@dafrenzyguy Its a next gen game. And modern ssd storage is much cheaper now, so 300gb won't really be a problem(also probably will be like 180-200gbs MAX)
I think TDU solar crown will be *MY* new open world racing game.
We need a horizon 1 or 2 remastered, I feel like that would be a massive breath of fresh air to the series and would bring the veteran players back.

You know, I don't normally comment on many videos. This one hits home for me, though. As someone that grew up with racing games as a big part of my life it's interesting. Of course, I played Gran Turismo and loved them. My first semi sim racing game. When I got my Xbox and Forza Motorsport 1 came out I was hooked. I've been following ever since. From top of the leaderboards to now just enjoying the games. It's been a long journey.
The Horizon side has always been close to my heart. Me and my mom both loved them. They felt alive and more interesting. The thought of them ending is something that makes me sad. My mom passed shortly before the release of Horizon 5. She got to see the trailer and loved it. The hardest things has been playing it without her there watching as I went along.
Over the years Forza and more so the Horizon versions have brought many new friends, fun times, and stories that will last lifetimes. From pictures that have become well known online and in real life to crazy moments caught on record. It's been a long ride. If 6 is the end. I'll be saddened at it's ending. But happy to have experienced the ride from day 1.
If horizon 6 is the end of the series i would be sad. I would like to see all the previous maps remastered and ported over to be playable in horizon 6. Like you could drive to an airport on the map & have the option to travel to Europe or UK

It's the Forza worlds idea. Instead of using the same alternating release cycle of Motorsport and Horizon, they due a Horizon world and a Motorsport World. But these titles are treated as a true live service games and last for the lifespan of a console generation. Just like GTA.
I hope PG Games turns the series around one day especially if they ever do decide to make a Horizon game based in Japan.

to put it simple, Japan has a huge car culture and is the country of origin for a lot of loved automotive things, and just has a certain style no other country really has. at least those are the reasons i think people want japan

Japan would be incredible. But there are so many cool areas around the world they could set a Horizon game.
Poland, Egypt, India, Los Angeles, Boston, Brazil, Hong Kong, Hawaii.
Tons of great locations.

Sure, you have mountain ranges, and a bunch of forests (where there could be dirt and rally races), but a bunch of cities are like guanajuato, just condensed with a bunch of buildings. A place like Hyderabad would be perfect if they were thinking of something, there just aren't many roads there.

With the current state the franchise is in right now I wouldn't be surprised if fh6 would be the last one but then again the horizon series makes Microsoft a ton of money and I'm sure they would want to keep cashing in on that opportunity by creating more horizon games since it's one of their most popular games.
And with he current state of RUclips right now, we dont know what is real and what is false.
It’s not gonna end just because the dev team disbanded they’ll just have to find another studio to make it work and maybe listen to what fans want
1: Polish and fix the reoccurring problems and bugs. Up-to-date car models for example.
2: Multi-player and Online Free Roam need an overhaul and need to be more mainstream and of importance. User-created lobbies for free roam would be amazing and a more streamlined and organized Multi-player racing menu would be great to get more players into online.
3: More customization, playground games needs to stop being lazy and incompetent. Games like GT7, The Crew, and NFS do it so much better and that shouldn't be the case. And for the love of gawd, certain people in the community need to stop downplaying and making excuses for the lack of quality content.
I think if Forza is gonna keep going, it needs start going back to a similar route of making a story where you start as a Nobody and build your way up leagues to become champion, like Forza horizon 1. But it's pegi 3 version, Also they need to gift us many barn finds and throw away the Festival playlist and go back to the side missions like in FH2 and FH3
I don’t want it to end I been playing the series since the start back in 2012 and it will be very sad to see it go and if I was the creator director like mike brown I would change everything and bring it back to the 2012 feel good campaign , good multiplayer, etc and update the car models as well.
I honestly love Forza and I pray they are around for years to come 🙏🏽
Idea for Forza Horizon 6: Have a career mode format similar to that of Need for Speed Prostreet, where you have four different disciplines, each one has its own final boss. After you beat each boss, there will be one final boss who covers all disciplines.
By the way NFS Prostreet is a very fun and I recommend you try it out if you haven't
So back to the roots of Forza Horizon? It was sorta like that with Darius being the Final boss, like the old NFS on Wii. There were bosses that you had to beat to get to the final boss. If they implemented a story mode like that again instead of just having races to get a wristband and expand/ progress.

In hindsight, perhaps people were too harsh on ProStreet when it first came out simply because it didn't have police chases or an open world.
Little did they know that it would set the stage for games like FH, DiRT 2, and I'd dare say even real life race events like Gridlife.
Working back to back from Horizon 4 to 5 really took a toll for PG. I'd doubt they're gonna axe the entire Horizon franchise, but taking a back seat to make a new game from the ground-up is very sensible thing to do.
The only real issues with horizon is progression, and the open world feels completely and entirely dead. Bring some life into the world, and make progression more meaningful, game will go back to 10/10 status.

2023 is showing the return of open world racers which are competing with horizon if playground don't do anything they will loose there players. With cars street and tdusc appearing they might just kill forza horizon

I also would like to see more realistic drag racing events, with a working tree, wheelie bars and burnout box. I mean the build street car scene and drift scene is cool, however the drag scene needs more attention IMO.
Japan, nz, Germany, dubai are some places I would love, they are all perfect for forza
Horizon isn't going any where but they need to make the garage freaking bigger especially if they are just going to give you cars every two minutes.

I feel all good things come to an end.. I doubt it will be the end game series wise but I feel if the festival playlist returns it may be the last one for long time players cause I attribute it to why 4 and 5 are weaker in my opinion..just makes the game a chore vs fun

I think that they should make Horizon 6 the last game, but they should continually update it and keep releasing expansions and car packs for it so they can continue to make money. Also, I know I'm not the only one who thinks we need a full remaster/remake of FH1
It would have to be a huge amount of money for Microsoft to give up one of their biggest money makers. I don’t think they would give it up. Even if it wasn’t good, and even if the next game isn’t good, reboots are popular these days and Microsoft has the cash to back up a full reboot and start fresh at Colorado and re make the whole series in fresh new places. It’s too big I think to completely die at this point. But Horizon could fall hard before it gets back up and shines again
I think the PG devs are focussing on trying to bring in new players rather than keeping the old ones which is why they have been recycling content. I think that unless the devs listen to the community and try and make Horizon 6 the best game yet it will die out. So many people won't even bother to play again if they put it in some random ass location like Mexico with a "city" that has no depth or soul. I think the other main issue is that its way too easy to get hold on insanely fast cars. They need to make wheelspins more realistic with the cars and money that you can get and either need to make money harder to earn or make everything else more expensive. They can't even maintain new players because its too easy to progress. I love the Horizon series but I do seriously worry about it cause the devs really need to step up their game
Everything has to end, and if the franchise ends like you said in scenario 3 then all of my efforts will be worth it, and then I'll keep praising this franchise forever
I always felt like pg making horizon in japan was always their playing card in case they must get back onto the charts of "the biggest openworld racer". I think their moment has come to do just that and make it good. If for some reason they continue to make the same mistakes they did with fh4 and 5 or if it isnt japan or germany... well it is going to be the last time they will dissapoint fans with horizon

They've been saving it for an Xbox Series X/S title only. God knows they couldn't do Japan justice by making it a cross play title with One systems.

@@CamaroAmx Agreed, as far as I can see, Outside of the Car Culture (which they won't be allowed to Replicate anyway as more and more Car Companies are now Demanding No Street Racing or Car Customization in their Licensing Deal due to PR image Damage Concerns) , Japan has *Nothing* going for it as a Horizon Location, and I just cannot understand the Mania for it, as it looks like it would result in a very Generic Game indeed, NFS in all but name. No Thanks.

I understand how you feel about how Forza Horizon 5’s updates have gotten lacklustre, but I don’t want the series to end with a sixth game. I have this vision for a Forza Horizon game with all the bells and whistles we all love about Forza Horizon, but with a map the size of The Crew 2’s map. Hell, I’d love a coast-to-coast Horizon Festival set in a massive, open-world recreation of the United States, even starting where it all began, in the state of Colorado.

If it is the last game. I’ll never forget my first time playing the series when horizon 3 came out. I got it for Xmas 2026 alongside the Xbox One. Jumping off that Australian motorway with my red bull ford was insanely fun!
The main problem is the monopolisation of all our games because the corporations keep buying up all the studios, it's stifling the freedom of expression in the art of making the games in favour of the shareholders and it's not just apparent in FH4 and 5 it's showing in other games too they are more concerned about player numbers than worrying about quality of the games it always happens where monopolies are concerned Innovation goes out the window because theres lack of competition and said product ends up getting run into the ground
#1 biggest change that needs to happen: Remove wheel spins. Make us grind for money. Make Parts for cars level dependant. Make a huge open world as big as the TDU series and you will have an awesome game!
Sadly, it would be a Sales Disaster, Grind these Days has become Associated with Forced Microtransactions, so Gamers are now Boycotting when Grind is Present. Yes, Wheelspins have *got* to Go (IMO they are Lootboxes and should therefore be *illegal* !) , but the Economy would have to be Rebalanced to avoid a Grind to prevent an "MTX Scare" and an Ensuing En-Mass Boycott.

@@alexsurh1472 That is definitely a Part of it, as we can see, the Gen-Z Userbase have *ruined* the Eventlab with 0.0 Mile Forzathon Cheats (to get the Forzathon done in 5 Minutes rather than an hour) and Motorway XP Spams (to earn lots of Lootboxes) they are utterly Lazy and really do just want to be Handed a C8 Corvette just for pressing the A Button, so even the "old Grind" , which I think would be a Good Addition to Forza Horizon, taking it closer to Forza's Roots as an "American Gran Turismo", would make them Run a Mile, something MS would not tolerate, as it means an "Unacceptable" Drop in Gamepass Subscriptions from their Position.
The Problem is, and this is why so many older Gamers, Me included , now *dread* the idea of Grind coming back to Forza, is that MS is Pretty Greedy, and there is always the worry they could use "the New Grind" the One that is designed purely to *Force* MTX (another thing that needs to be made *illegal* IMO!) by making it Nigh Impossible, due to a massively over bloated Grind, to earn anything via normal Play.
I do agree, the Old Grind, where, to get a '94 S14 Zenki Kings, it would have been 10 Beginner Races, or 1 Medium Race, would be Fine, it is Immersive, Realistic and Fun, but we just know that MS would do "the New Grind" , where, for that same Zenki, it, due to Massively Over-Bloated Grind in order to Force MTX, it is Either 100 Pro Races, or £5 in MTX, meaning the Player gets Nowhere Slowly, and, well, Playing just feels Pointless, as it becomes Impossible to get anything via normal Play, because the Publisher has overblown the Grind to such a Point its 100 Pro Races (20 Laps each and Unbeatable AI) just to get a Zenki as the Publisher would rather You Dropped 10,000 "Wonga" (Premium Currency, £5 for 10,000) on it instead of 10,000,000,000,000,000 CR, and then even the Old Gamers like Me just give up and go back to the PS2 again.
So Yes, while Gen-Z boycotts because they do not even want to do 10 Beginner Races for that Zenki, as they are Stultifying Lazy and they just want to do a Quick XP Motorway Spam with Auto-Steering and Auto-Brake Enabled, and the Accelerator Pinned down with an Elastic Band so they can just go and enjoy drinking their Treble Skinny Frappuccino while backing the latest Woke Cause Celebre on Anti-Social Media instead of "Playing" (cause, like, that's, too hard, y'know?) , earn 100 Lootboxes for doing...nothing..., and get that Zenki and goodness knows how many other Cars for no effort at all, and for that we have good Reason to shake our Heads in Despair as they have no idea how fun it is to go from having to Grind 10 Beginner Racers just to get a Zenki, to doing 2 or 3 Medium Races for a 3000 GTO VR4, then to 2 Pro Races to get a McMerc, to doing 1 Elite Race and getting a Lotus Type 97-T, the Joy of a Natural and Realistic Progression of Money and Cars dependant on in Game Progression, that is not the whole Story.
Sadly, the Ever mounting Greed of the AAA Industry and its Tendancy to *force* MTX by massively Overblowing in Game Grind to the Point it is Impossible to unlock anything without spending Your whole Weekend just Spamming the Biggest Paying Race about 1000 Times, it has gotten to a Point that even Old Gamers, Me Included, now Baulk at the Idea of Grind, due to the Fear that the Publisher is going to Over bloat it to the Points its over 100 2 Hour Each Pro Races just to get a Zenki, to basically force the Player into paying a £5 MTX Purchase instead, and, sadly, I would not put it past Microsoft to do the Same, in Fact, I Fear MS would Leap at the Opportunity in a Shocking Display of Avarice and Greed that will be as Tragic as it will be Disgusting.
If MS could avoid the Temptation to overblow the Grind in order to Force MTX, and instead Keeps FH, as, mercifully, it has been in FH4 and 5, pretty much free of MTX, and gives a Balance "Grind" where the Player is not getting a Rimac Nevera out of a Gambling Box, but also is not having to do 100 Endurance Races just for a Zenki, and balances so 10 Beginner Races is more than Enough for a Zenki, and 2 or 3 Pro Races will land that Nevera, and that would be pretty much the Perfect System for Horizon 6 I think, it is just if MS can keep a Lid on their Greed or Not..

Regarding Activision closing down Bizarre Creations, a lot of the staff ended up at Playground Games developing the first Forza Horizon.
You know I grew up playing the Forza series. As much as it would disappoint me when either the Motorsport and/or Horizon series ends, I wouldn't be surprised. Especially since (most of) the later Forza games have been going on a steady decline. Don't get me wrong, I think the newer Forza games are good in their own way. However they seem to be missing something. Something that made Forza Motorsport 3 & 4 and Horizon 1 & 2 great. I don't know what it is, but something about those I mentioned really hit different! I pray to hope that one day we'll get a proper Forza game with a great gameplay and a well balanced car selection and a relatively decent career/campaign. But that's the best we can do right now. 🤷♂

Personally I think Japan as *Nothing* going for it as a Horizon Location, and would rather Have Germany, where the Car was Invented, for the Last Game.
I think something they could to do is combine motorsport and horizon together. I bet that could be one heck of a game.
If fh6 is the last game, i’d be happy or sad. If it was all family friendly and bullshit like that I’d absolutely hate it. If they somehow brought back the original forza vibe i’d be happy, but it wouldn’t be for long as it would be the last game…

their problem is that they are trying to appeal to everyone to maximize profits, and going all family friendly, and it just leads to terrible games
The only upside about Horizon 6 being the final title is they can finally open the game to modding because they won't be anymore sequels so the spotlight will no longer be taken away from the developers and the community can finally get what we all want.

@@dan2800 everyone probably said that when Assetto Corsa first came out and even when GTA first came to PC and know look at them. That's not to say Forza would do the same but to me it sounds logical, because the game might be over but the devs aren't going to constantly update the game all the time and it would make sense to let the community have free ragin on the final title. It's already starting to happen with devs giving us the eventslab. So technically it's already happening but on a much smaller scale see what I mean
I only play this now on a Thursday for the season change. To complete the weekly challenges and thats it.

I get why tho. I liked it too when it was new. But when that wears off you start noticing the laziness and lack of effort. And you cab easily see small things that would keep the game alive but the developers refuse to try it and don't even listen to the players

i’ve played FH games since day one and always bought them but i honestly regret buying FH5, i still got a good 200hours out off it ,FH3 i got at least triple more real time gaming than FH5, just a huge disappointment really, i’ll be reinstalling FH if the new dlc (hopefully) comes out if it peaks my interest 🙏

Something I hope they do someday is remaster the old forza games. I could see them doing that if 6 is the last game. besides, imagine playing horizon 1 2 or 3 with the graphics we have now.
It's been YEARS since other open world racing games featured extensive vehicle customization and player houses in which vehicles can be placed on display. With The Crew 3 Motorfest and TDU on the horizon (pun intended), I may be saying goodbye to the Horizon series, whether it continues on or not.
I do remember Project Gotham Racing i had them From the 1st to the 4th game. I loved how they looks back then. I do remember Rally Sport Challenge to.
Imagine if fh1 you started as a rookie and right at the end of the franchise you retire that would of been so good
My 2 cents, if FH6 is in Japan or a similar asian metropolis, with the visuals we have with FH5 and better implementation of the tuning system, namely parts cause we are tired of the forza wing, i think that game would be played for years after the support is gone. Just look at FH3, i never had the chance to buy it when it was out but even today there is still ppl playing it, i saw videos of it from youtubers and to me it still looks almost the same as FH5, in the graphical dept.

I assume the new Forza-engine (graphics) from Motorsport will be used and that it will carry our souls through the first few agonizing months of bugs. When that has passed, hopefully we are left with a beautiful game with great features. I mean, they can't risk being anything but brave this time..?
Setting.... not overly worried about. BUT... i think the ability to get out of your car, especially while in a convoy, say... small car meet.. would be super dope. And say the setting is in Japan... they use parkiinf structures there to hold late night car meets. Now.. again regardless of location, how cool would it be to maintain an open world concept, BUT be able to get out of your car? Hold a giant car meet with say.. 100+ cars and every live individual is walking around as well... that would be iconic
I hope that the Japan part of this is true since I really want to race through those streets.

They need seriously to reethink the Horizon series. I dont think that just a "map upgrade" to Japan will save the series. They need to inovate

The past 2 horizon games have always been leaked to possibly be in Japan but turned out they arent. I imagine a lot of this is just player speculation with a sprinkle of Japan just to get people talking. But i could definitely see the next game lasting longer in terms of lifecycle than horizon 4 and 5 and which could possibly let playground games try and go for something different. Or they might move on to Fable. I dont know.. These games do pretty well to just be killed off. But also there are other players approaching the arcade racing genre so who knows really..
I really doubt that they would stop with the franchise, and things like cheating on the leader boards, clothing, and poor updates aren't really big problems on forza, only around a 20% of the total player base plays for the playlist and even less for the leader boards, it's a casual friendly game most people just come, do the story and get their favorite cars and leave for another game or buy the dlc and repeat

Me personally I would love an expanded car list from England as we have a tone of cars classic and hot hatchbacks that I'm sure peeps would love to see in the game I can only hope 👍

I got into FH as FH4 was in its final year in 2020 and I enjoyed the hell out of it. I was so hyped for 5, but I dont know if it was the map setting or the changes made, but I didnt enjoy it nearly as much as I did 4. I still only play FH4 to this day, having uninstalled FH5. Hoping FH6 is more fun for me.
As a fan of halo, battlefield, star wars battlefront and forza series I do worry where it's heading hope they get it right
You can only hope they put the care and love into the next game to make it what we really love. But we can't not expect them to just keep rebooting the same game year over year so everybody needs to keep on them

We need more customizations like way more... like interiors car stereos , car meets , being able to get out n walk around at car meets ect with our avators and much more customization with the avatars in it.... and more cars.... like Chevy S10 blazers n pickups vw cc sports ect ect
When FH4 came out I read somewhere or someone said that there will be 2 more Horizon games with a few countries in plans (I don't remember what they were) but I don't think it was a very reliable source
I've got a feeling Playground Games will get bought out by someone, or someone will buy out the franchise of horizon

Similarly to how TDU is going right now. KT racing bought the licence for it and they're now developping it all these years later.With a former lead game designer and a brand new team. If a studio sees a potential then its possible. Look at how horizon was started. It was ex codemasters devs who left EA. The 2012 era of Nfs was kind of when the franchise lost what previous games had. And these people id assume left for a reason. And they ended up developping the forza horizon we know today. Circle of life. Hopefully at least the next game gets something right as to leave the franchise on a good note.
If TDU takes the crown from horizon one day.. One can only dream. But id still be sad to see horizon gone
I have the same feeling with all movie and video game franchises. I don’t really want them to end, but it’s probably best if they did so they couldn’t get any worse.
PGR 4 is still one of my favourite games to play BY FAR!!! PGR4 does things better that games nowadays can’t seem to replicate

I think they need to wrap up everything for this game. Location: Japan. Fun campaign/story mode (not papa Fernando) Not recycled cars and series updates should do something!

It isn't really going to end, it's probably going to have that Halo and Gears of War effect were Bungie and Epic games stopped developing the series and Microsoft hires other studios to continue the series. I feel like it's just going to be Playground games last game.

I do think that they will try to end it with a bang but it think that they will just keep going with new bugs and glitches that will not be fixed
I love the forza wide body kits. They need more of them for more cars. It’s easier than paying rights and loyalties to companies.
