Its interesting how they did the gado2, i think its more geared towards western tongue - our street version definitely messier 😂, ive had a gado2 where the sauce is warm so its got quite a contrast of texture. Ya the rendang been braised for a while - its soft indeed, again interesting presentation at nook, not the usual we usually back in jakarta or bali street hehe 😉-
Ross and Bek, you guys are so underrated. Not sure why more people are not subscribed to you guys, but the quality of your videos are top notch. You obviously use good camera gear as well. great work.
Hi, sending some love back from my chanel... wow I loved your food review and you picked some of my top Indonesian favorite food choices too :) If you come to Jakarta lets meet up, lets go on a food tour :)
Loving seeing your videos get better and better guys and also love that track! So chill! What is it? Honestly I miss the food out there sooo bad I'm super jealous right now! Too bad I can't have gado gado (super allergic to peanuts) but I've always heard good things, and it seems like this one was no different! Seems like Nook is the place to go!
Wow...thanks very much you visited my country. You are the best vloger I know. If you have time, visit Pontianak city in West Borneo Province. This is my home
Awesome vid. Well done again. Rendang is my favorite Indonesian dish and I agree with the comment earlier about "give me rendang and beer and I am set for life." I do prefer mine quite a bit hotter than this, full Padang hot. And the consistency varies from what you have with lots of sauce to pretty dry with the sauce being almost like soggy crumbs. But oh, the taste. I am going to be making some in a few days now...
Hi guys I kept seeing a lot of Indonesian travels and dishes! Yours is one of the good ones to be honest! Great going on the vlogs Guys! Keep em coming! 😊
Yo guys, I just found you from Nick and Helmi's channel. Nice food vlog! I love beef rendang! I personally like sweet and rich rendang. A little bit of feedback, the music was a bit too loud during the voiceover. I'd shoot more close-ups of the food and run it as B-roll. But overall good stuff! I've just subbed!
Wowww this restaurant really has cool interior design and with that view outside. Too bad we didn't make it ehile we were in Bali. The soto ayam looks great especially in that raining day. The beef rendang looks absolutely amazing and the gado2 is so good with that peanut sauce. Great video guys We Subscribed to your channel and hopefully we can stay connected Thank you Cheers
Apologies to Hindu audience but I loooooooove Beef Rendang ! Just give me Beef Rendang and a cold beer and I won't need anything else in life...... oh but I still need Centrelink benefits.
Well "ayam" means chicken in indonesian, balinese translate different. Soto is soup originated from JAVA (javanese soup) learn the facts before, indonesia has divers culinary in every islands/cultures. Rendang originated from west sumatra
almost u eat is not Balinese Cuisine bro :-D Soto Ayam from East Java, Gado2 (mix veggie) from Jakarta (capital city of Indonesia), Beef Rendang from Padang (West Sumatra) Beef shank n Coconut sauce very thick (Dark brown) has Red oil (this Authentic taste). u must try Balinese Cuisine; Roast Suckling Pig, Nasi Bali Kedewatan, Sate Lilit, Tipat
Soto ayam, Gado Gado and beef rendang are not balinese foods. They are authentic Indonesian foods. FYI, soto means soul or broth and ayam means chicken. And they're not balinese, they are Bahasa Indonesia.
Great! Lovely video! Have a good day!

Nick and Helmi Yeah felt the same about the gado2 - used to seeing it all smashed up fresh at the Indonesian food bazaars by us

Bek's reaction to the food was priceless LOL
I've never seen any food vlogger react with a side to side rocking motion before, it's great (like the famous Wiens Leans and Sheena's Wiggle).
Cool to see the rain behind you guys as you eat - nice location!
Ross and Bek Congrats on 600+ subs! You guys are growing rapidly and that is awesome! We just dropped a new video last week actually

Went there and it was fantastic recommend the satay chicken peanut sauce was out of this world
A lot of the food looked really good! Some dishes looked a little too adventurous for me though.
There is no lemongrasss in peanut sauce and gado gado

Are you sure that is Rendang? Rendang should be dry curry, not soupy
"Ayam is Chicken in Balinese"..........you got good grades in geography huh?

it's not Balinese dishes but Indonesian dishes
I hope no west sumatrans took offence when seeing beef rendang is listed as balinese dish :D kidding.
Nice camera
It makes me cringe when every food and languages that he mentioned in this video is actually "Indonesian" instead of "balinese"
😂
