can not upgrade the magara in the workshop to give it a better drag ? I didnt even know you could do this until i went to repair my reel and upgraded my casting reel from 15kg. to 17.5kg
Yeah this video was made before the update that allows players to upgrade their drag weights and what not. If it's true you can't upgrade the Magara then the Venga and Tagara are now the best bet in this situation.
@@midnightgamingmysticnightmare Ok thanks very much, I think based on everything and thanks to guys like you explaining and showing bits, ill go for the tagara as it will do in almost all my situations id imagine and its far easier to save for 3 of those and 3 decent rods to go with them than 3 vengas thats for sure lol. I've had a break from the game for a while and although I have well over 3000 hours, a lot of the reels and bits are brand new to me lol. Anyway, since back I was saving for the Venga but actually, I find it so hard to farm & farm all day, or for all of my time and often sway off trying to beat pbs and things, ive always done this, so perhaps itle take far to long to save for 3 venga and 3 decent rods, I think ill grab 3 tagara and 3 decent rods and get vengas at some later date i already have enough now to grab one tagara and a decent rod to go with, so im on my way at least lol Thanks again
someone asked me what reel less than 1000 silver is good for carp fishing? I have no answer. any suggest here? I like spinning but still don't know should I invest in spinning reel or casting reel?
There really isn't a carp reel that's less that 1000 silver. The closest carp reel that could be used at Bear and Old Burg would be possibly the Titan or the Gold 80s. They have enough strength and line capacity to reel in about 95% of the carp hooked. More reliable reels would be the Alfa 8000, narga 8000 and Caliber HSV. Some people have done some fishing with the pulsar and sabre 60s on Bear but found out they ended up repairing their reels more often then they liked. As for casting setups I really don't use them very often. In fact I don't really like them at all. With a casting setup you can't use casting reels on feeder rods, so they aren't as versatile as spinning reels. On top of that casting reels almost always have a super high mech weight but super low drag weights and line capacities. They are durable reels but you end up spending a ton of money on them just to get one with a high enough drag weight to fish the way you want.
Nope, I couldn't find anyone that had Venga or Megara repair costs. I can say that because the Tagara is lower star quality than the venga and megara more than likely the venga and magara will cost more to repair.
Im in the same boat as you allmost and looking at same reels. But im having trouble understanding the "Features". The Tagara say "Features Power fishing / Carp fishing / Great pull". The Megara say Carp fishing / Long cast. The Venga say Power fishing / Carp fishing. What does that even mean? Is it usefull information? Where can i find an explanation?
I think long cast reel do cast their baits a little bit further than others. Other features I would say are just hints. But I personally think that Megara is going to perform relatively better in normal shore fishing (carp and lure), while only Venga could be better in extreme cases because of its strong gear
dont forget line capacity is all fine and dandy but remember the line you used for test is only a spool of 300m so no matter the line capacity its all depends on the spool of line you put on.. so all the reels you tested only have 300m of line on then... so all are ok if you look at it like that.. only if you buy the 1000m spools of line this will make a difference.. but for most people they will not be buying a 1000m spool of line for a spinning reel.. ;) love the vids keep up the great work ;)
At level 20 I do believe you should be trolling on kuori or Volk for larger better selling fish. Old burg is really only about the bream. There really isn't any other reliable fish other than bream, crucian and gibel. Carp get too big to waste your time with because you'd need a large setup, Tench are too much of a pain to find and fish reliably, Burbot only come out at night and for some reason aren't very common on OB. Honestly if you can't do bream on old burg you could do Belaya river and make much better money.
@@midnightgamingmysticnightmare Ah thankyou so much thats actually really useful (and releaving) information as i was getting bored always fishing OB, only problem is not sure what tackle ill need and im not to sure how to troll as ive never tryed it before but im sure i can figure it out thanks again!!
@@potato_smiles3701 I have videos on Belaya river if you want to go back there. I also have videos on Kuori Lake and Volkhov river showing the different setups and other stuff you'll need to fish them.
i realy like how you see it about the gear, for me i i see it the same way like you, i dont need the Venga Reel when im lv 30 or higher i mean im lv 42 almost lv 43 and i dont have an Venga because i dont need it i have 3 tagaras and 1 Megara because for me thats perfect, but i alsow buy reels and rod for testing i have like 60 rod and over 40 reels because i like to test thing one time i maybe have vengas but for now it is useless. and im sorry for my bad english :) :) :)
me too! im lv36 and have only one venga which I found overpowered, and I'm now working as a content creator for newcomer guides and found there're loads of other fascinating setups than the conventional ones. btw what kinds of reels have you tested
👍
Hi Mystic gz on reel and thx for the good info.
No problem!

hail megara!!!
LOL it really is a great reel.
Hi! You said the repair costs only Tagara. But how many silver Megara repair? Any tips?
Nope, I couldn't find anyone that had Venga or Megara repair costs. I can say that because the Tagara is lower star quality than the venga and megara more than likely the venga and magara will cost more to repair.
@@midnightgamingmysticnightmare thx today i buy Megara and i show you repair cost :)
I’m sure you found your answer by now but if not venga 8k fb repair is a little bit less than 400s. 388 if I remember correctly.

The Megara say Carp fishing / Long cast. The Venga say Power fishing / Carp fishing. What does that even mean? Is it usefull information? Where can i find an explanation?
They mean absolutely nothing
Yeah Julius is right, they pretty much don't mean anything. I think they really are just hints as to what type of fishing they excel at.

I am still skeptical how you going to land a 500kg Beluga with Tagara?
Buy waiting to buy a Venga 10000 and not fishing for Beluga until I do lol!
Just got the tagara because of you lol

Yup that's exactly right. I think most people should catch on to that and hopefully buy a good 450m braided line.
could you do some spots on old burg please, im lvl 20 and am trying to find good money grind spots any ideas? love your vids btw

Venga 8000 is not worth to buy, just a waste of silver
