Very cool of you guys. My wife is a hospice nurse and she has stories of people losing their homes and going bankrupt even before they pass away. It's amazing the bond that some of the musicians have with each other even though they haven't spent much time around each other. Definitely a brotherhood. Damn! I just got recommended this video and my mouth just dropped opened. I have this same guitar, same color, binding, and tuners, with the number 231. It doesn't have the Patent Applied (it has Eddie's stamped though) For because I found out from Peavey in an e-mail the stamper was broken and they had to push them out. And the crazy thing is I bought it second hand for $650.00 (no it wasn't hot🤣) and it plays like a dream. This made my day👍
If I had enough money to buy this guitar to help Jason I would’ but even if I had a million dollars to spend on this guitar to help Jason I would but I feel that if I could I would want to give more’ this is one of the most heart warming things in the music community and beyond and it’s so rad that people can come together to help support such a special person as Jason’ I just really wish that I could’ but I struggle to even keep our bills paid because of my insignificant illness’ but I k ow that there are some good hearted people out there that will give what they can to help support Jason and keep such a promising talent as his around for as many years as possible’ I wish Jason and his family all the best amd all the love in the world’ and thankyou to you Norm for helping get this amazing opportunity for someone to help support such an amazing person and such a wonderful cause out there world wide’ big love to Jason and all the supporters of this world wide’ big love from New Zealand x

Eddie did something similar with Dimebag. Dime's interred with Eddies yellow/black FrankenStrat. for all time, a gift from one master to another. I believe it was used on Van Halen II studio album and the following supporting tour
Eddie knew great talent and was generous to other guitarists. Can’t help but remember the sad story of Dimebag asking if Eddie could get him a copy of the bumblebee Frankenstrat, but soon after Dimebag was murdered on stage. Eddie came to the memorial with the original bumblebee and had them put that in the casket because “he was an original and he deserved the original.”
It’s a sin to play on this instrument after such legend. I would not be in place of Michael’s. You sense the honour and the pressure at the same time, when Michael started to play. Nice licks though. Well done 🤘
Thank God everyone can see the genuine humanity displayed by Eddie van Halen as a person in this video . Sometimes I think we all get caught up in the juicy ,trashy headlines of the modern day and judge high profile people wrongly , me included . If everyone did just one gesture like this I'm sure the world would be better for it . I personally now think of Eddie not only as one of the great guitar innovators but also a kind man to those that need something nice in there life after suffering this terrible affliction. This young man should not have to pay for his care in a country as wealthy as America. Shame on the corporate business model.
Funny a couple years ago I brought an EVH Ernie Ball Music Man guitar to Norms to see if they a wanted to buy it . I was surprised about how little they cared about this guitar and find it interesting that now after ed has passed, They have some interest in EVH ....
I can not afford that guitar, however you should include a go fund me page or some other way to donate for those that would like to help but can not afford the guitar it's self.
