    Finally, a great video about the combination of two of the best product in the WordPress eco system.

      Thank you. I was wondering during the week-end if I should do an updated video, now that JetEngine and JetSmartFilters integrate completely with Bricks builder... It has been out for a couple of months, but never had the time to do one, so wondering if it's still worth it...

      @@NelmediaCa Yeah, i think its a good idea and a good boost for your channel since there not a lot of videos about bricks and JetEngine,. Not mentioning that I haven't seen any video with Bricks+JetSmartFilters native integration at all.

      @@NelmediaCa 😏 I'm not a fan of Breakdance. I am a life customer of oxygen. I didn't hear about breakdance until at the same time learning of how that it was the same developer releasing a competing product. And I'm think back to all those times when updates to oxygen had everyone crying boo-hoo my oxygen site is now broken. So one, if they were giving their best effort on oxy instead of trying to make breakdance then maybe updates would have been smoother. And two breakdance? They should have been dancing with the customers that brought them.

      @@brink6876 Haha... Well, so far I have a love-hate relationship with it... Easy things, like hover color, took me a while to figure out (in fact, I had to ask on FB) and that fact that it just have Section, Columns and Div (with setting really deep) made me feel like we take a step behind... but I think the columns use flexbox... Still, confusing coming from Elementor.
      Besides that, I like it... but on my advantage/disadvantage list, the dev is certainly on the disadvantage side as compared to Bricks...
      I also have Oxygen, so I have one year to try out Breakdance (yes, strange name... and brand almost identical to Bricks...), though I'll have to decide before that period if I'll use it or not, to take advantage of the launch price...

    Nice! I was super stoked when I found out JetEngine works with Bricks. It would be excellent if Smartfilters joins the party. Personally I'm gradually moving away from Elementor. I'm not sold on Gutenberg for creative layouts just yet, so leaning towards Bricks. Keep up the good content!

      Thank you. I've read that Crocoblock is working to improve it, so my guess is that they will implement JetEngine and JetSmartFiters (and hopefully others) fully with Bricks, like it is with Elementor right now... Fingers crossed!

      Thank you. I've been in a complete rush since the beginning of the year and it's going to be like that for a couple of months again... but I hope to be able to create a new version with the newer version of JetEngine and JetSmartFilters that now supports Bricks... The latest version of JetEngine even supports native Bricks' query loop...

    Hello. Thanks for your videos... I was wondering if Jet Engine is the equivalent of ACF Pro? There are so many products by the Crocoblock team that it is difficult to say what is their main product. Hope you can clarify this for a beginner...

    • @NelmediaCa
      @NelmediaCa  5 месяцев назад

      Yes it is. Effectively, instead of creating one big product that contains everything, they decided to separate them into multiple pieces (so you only install what you need).
      JetEngine is for Custom Post Types (CPTs, just like ACF), while JetSmartFilters allows you to add filters to your results. And there are bunch of others. They are all compatible with Elementor, but many are also compatible with Gutenberg and Bricks.

      @@NelmediaCa Thanks, they have a sale till the end of the month and I have Bricks Builder so trying to figure out which one would be best... Do you have any preference? I also have Advanced Themer and trying to find plugins well tested with these products...

    • @NelmediaCa
      @NelmediaCa  5 месяцев назад

      @@bob-p7x6jwell to be honest, SINCE I’m using AT and ACF Pro used to come with it (and that ACF NOW can create CPTs), I use ACF more now… but sometimes in combination with JetSmartFilters (since it is compatible also with ACF) if I need filtering. Bricks now also has native filtering habilities, but it is limited for now.
      BTW, Bricks has a better integration of JerEngine now than when I did that video.

    • @bob-p7x6j
      @bob-p7x6j 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@NelmediaCa okay thanks. Yeah, I bought AT after April 1st so unfortunately ACF Pro is not included,,, I didn't realize that but the new release of AT has no ACF Pro... so now I am trying to figure out which one to buy, they both sound good from what I can tell, so I will keep researching, thanks for your time...Some people also seem to like PODS which I think is free, so many choices , ha ha, thanks

    • @NelmediaCa
      @NelmediaCa  5 месяцев назад

      @@bob-p7x6j Yeah, absolutely.
      On the cheap side, there is PODS (free) and ACPT. I got ACTP from AppSumo at the time, but can't say I really tested it (and they are at version 2 now I think), but I do know that Bricks fully supports it. PODS, not sure (I'm pretty sure it works fine, but not "officially" in the list of plugins supported I think).
      Then you have Crocoblock (JetEngine) that offers subscription OR LTD (in special right now) or Metabox (that I never used, though I have it, as it seemed more complicated/technical)... And ACF brought the ability to create CPTs before I had the time to test it.
      ACF and Toolset (which is pretty much just maintained for now) don't offer LTDs, if that's what you are looking for... ACF is the most supported one BECAUSE it also has a free version, but it took me a long time to really use it because you had to use it in combination with something like CPTUI to create your CPTs. Now that it finally integrated it, it is way more attractive.
      SO, if ACF free is enough for your needs, go with it all the way. If you need pro AND/OR a filter plugin, then ACF Pro or Crocoblock are good options, BUT only Crocoblock has filters and LTD. If on a budget, ACPT is $199 (with a 20% discount until May 31st). PODS... I don't know... I did try it, but it never really attracted me... maybe juste because it is free and no support I guess (Toolset has a terrific support btw, but unfortunately a very blurry future) and for a long time there was no more development... Now they released a new version...

    Couldent you use category for filtering the album/artists?

    • @NelmediaCa
      @NelmediaCa  2 года назад

      Do you mean the filters, that I use near the end of the video, to filter the artitsts and years for the album, or the relations? Because, for the filters, we can't use JetSmartFilters in Bricks (for now)... As for the relations, I did find a way to use the Query Builder, but it requires adding some functionalities through code, which is not easy for everybody (and I wanted to stick with native solutions).

       @NelmediaCa Thanks for your time. I was interested in Ltd for Crocoblock but if you go to the bottom of the page and click on Bricks, I think there are 5 plugins that are currently supported for Bricks, but it seems just a yearly price, no Ltd, on sale now but after a year will be regular price. They seem to have a lifetime deal for all their plugins but only 5 that are able to be used in Bricks. ACPT looks good, many people have said good things, thinking about their Ltd, I was a bit turned off by the website, it looks nice, but some of the links took me to areas not listed, had to refresh page and start again, so lost a little confidence in the product, maybe I am too critical but seems absolutely imperative a software developer's website work perfectly to have confidence in the product...Jet Engine is on sale but can't buy Ltd for just Jet Engine. Anyways I have a few days to think about it, sad I bought AT after April 1st but he didn't have the Ltd before that I think...
