I cried my eyes out watching The Whale. I really felt that Charlie was not only eating to fill the chasm of grief he was enduring but was also eating for his lost love who was so terribly thin when he died. Broke my heart. Kudos to Brendan for his unbelievable performance and his exquisite talent.
Everyone in this movie was phenomenal. Obviously Brendan Fraser is the best, but his supporting cast also really brought something special to the overall message of the story.
I don’t know if anyone noticed this but during the entire movie the weather was either cloudy or raining. At the end of the movie when Charlie is about to die it’s nice sunny and warm.
I was totally taken by this movie... Brendan Fraser is totally Charlie we totally believe he is, and the other actors are stunning good... I was not moved by a movie in a long, long time like this movie did to me... For anyone having lived a depression will understand... really, really beautiful movie.
Just watched the movie, because I know there are a lot of people in the same situation. Imprisoned in their own home because they can’t move and just suffer until they die. I know it’s not what the movie was about but loved the whole story. He deserved that Oscar and hope to see him do more before he gets too old. He has a lot to give.
I went to go see alone this movie when it was released- was in a small theater about 1/4 fillled... and once the credits rolled (you'll know if you've seen it), I balled my eyes out. I balled and then was self-conscious because the rest of the audience got up and left and so I tried to hold my tears back. I felt very different on the way back to my car. I felt that something was taken from me. For the next couple of days I felt that emptiness... but couldn't place it. All I felt was something had been taken. During that time I felt thanks for the film, but really upset that it took "that" from me. I still don't know if "that" was ever taken or replaced, but I'm okay now :) and I love Aronofsky and Brendan so much.
I just finished the movie, in utter tears WITH covid, so this wasn't a good time to watch this. I'm just broken hearted and had to watch the interview to make sure he was truly still alive. 💔
in this film you can see how a person is dying. Personally I have a grief of different kind. My mom died from cancer a year ago, but you can feel how a child doesn't want to say goodbye to his parent. When there is no turnaround and life seems to end it is so fucking hard to keep on track. But the end of this film is that beautiful and honest that I cannot hold my tears. Beautiful performance and painful at the same time. Because that's how life works: a beautiful and painful experience.

I just finished the movie, in utter tears WITH covid, so this wasn't a good time to watch this. I'm just broken hearted and had to watch the interview to make sure he was truly still alive. 💔
Exactly what I’m doing here. I needed to come back to reality after finishing the movie
Sadie is so perfect in this role, as always I love her more than anything.

ive heard brendan say that if the shirt was in the wrong movie line in every interview ive watched lol
Love Brendan. Great guy and now an astonishing actor!! Came a long way from Encino Man and the like ! Incredible history-making performance.
Hey, is this a straightforward movie or there's a twist to it?
Straight forward
What was the deal with the bird about?
Kindness and Selfless as he cared and he was a lonely man so the bird was a friend
More to it if you watch the movie 🎥
He cared more about others than himself. That’s also why Ella broke the plate. She was angry that he would take care of the birds instead of her.
@@The.Original.Potatocakes Yep a lot of her angst could be reframed at frustrated attempts to help him like the church boy.
God Bless Everyone Amen 🕊️💕💚💚🤲🏻🙏🏿💛😇😇💪💪👼🏻💜💜🙏🏻✝️✝️🧡🛐🥰🥰
Sadie is so fine
He didn't need makeup.
I hate that actress that played daughter
separate the actor from the role please. sadie is nothing like her character. it’s called acting for a reason.
