I can't believe OK tested team have been to Phulia, we in Bengal know that it is the hub of all sarees , but it's a village situated far away from the city. Hats off to the team for making this much effort and highlighting the weavers of Phulia and showcasing them to the world.
02:18 Learning to make a saree in 24 hours 04:36 Learning the process of handloom saree making in Phulia village. 06:54 Making a saree involves mixing colors, dipping in hot water, and drying. 09:12 Learning to weave a saree using the cheetah technique 11:30 Weaving is the most difficult part of making a saree 13:48 The process of making a saree involves pushing pedals, turning threads, and locking them. 16:06 Making a saree with a 24-year-old machine 18:19 The video showcases the process of making a saree and highlights the importance of supporting artisans. LOVE Kanishk and satty🥰🥰🥰
I am overwhelmed to see OK Tested do a video like this. All the sarees in my wardrobe are actually from Phulia, I love wearing them and I am glad that people across the country will finally know the magic of handloom. Kudos guys!
I am from a city near Phulia which is Krishnanagar, famous for clay models. You guys can try this for any video. We always welcome Ok Tested to our place.
My "মামা বাড়ি" Means nana k ghar is Phulia. I felt so proud that Ok Tested crue reached my gaon. Phulia and Santi Pur ki Taant ki Saree is so renowned all over the world. Can't describe how I'm feeling right now.
I live in faridabad.. but my grannys house is just 45 mins from phulia and shantipur, west bengal. I always buy saree from there whenever I visit Wb.. feeling gud and lucky to see this. By the time these sarees reach kolkata they become almost double the price.. their work is excellent 👌
Tantuja is a great choice! Also, all the sarees in the shop reminded me of ‘Goynar Baksho’ when Lata and her husband recite the names of the different sarees available in the shop.
my inner textile designer loves it! great way to showcase the audience the immense hard work and perseverance the artisans of India show towards their craft
This weaving of sarees reminding me of my childhood days when I used to watch my Granddad(Dadu) working on creating such beautiful sarees & that room looks wonderland to me. 🌸 Nostalgia
Literally saw Rohit Bhattacharia at Arunachal pradesh today. He has been attending the Arunachal Literature festival for the last two days... he is super tall and handsome up close and so polite...🫠🫠🫠
@@aditisk99 no but he was interacting with some fans... and talking so politely to them... i didnt had the confidence to approach him... i just stood nearby and stared at him 😎
OMG! What I am seeing... Very nostalgic!! Making saree is our family business. Everything in this video reminds me of my old days. I did all of those things except colouring the materials and using handlooms. I'm just watching my old days in this video."Taant" is my family's pride, our heritage. I follow OK Tested regularly. Love from Bangladesh.🇧🇩
It's so warm watching team Ok Tested to go such limits to cover the whole process and that too so authentically❤... Kudos to their efforts and happy that this art is being recognised now🎉 Being a bangali from WB, it's a proud moment to see the craft of Phulia in this platform. Thanks once again❤ Also the best part is, they let the people talk in bengali and replied in broken Bengali to make the person comfortable and added subtitles, instead of forcing anyone yo speack hindi... It melted my heart😢 big love from a bangali❤
