This game literally gave me nightmares and when trying to remember them, I couldn't actually distinguish between the nightmares and the memory of the actual game. WARNING Trauma awaits those who play this game!
deadlypalms Dude, I get you man! The first time I played I was frozen at the first doorway I had to enter, I literally couldn’t do it! I turned it off came back another day and then creeped through with my heart racing like mad!
TinySpark37 Dude, I 100% agree with you! I’ve started playing that for the first time using the PSVR cinema mode, and it is scary in that alone! In true VR would be amazing!!
Yes it's probably the best gaming experience I've ever had! There seem to be too many people who don't seem to be able to deal with it, live it and enjoy it. Hope that doesn't stop capcom from doing more. It's feckin the best... Roll on RE8 on Psvr2.
I know that loads of other viewingtons (including myself) would love to see this as a complete play through, especially considering the Alien series is nearly done, but I don’t know if Aoife’s poor little heart could take it! If she absolutely refuses, I don’t blame her one bit, but maybe we could have a new feature, Late to the VR Party? That’d be awesome, Ian introducing his favorite VR games to Aoife and Zoe! Cheers, loved this video so much, as always!
Very late to respond, but there's one or two first person mods for RE2 Remake on PC that will work fine if motion controls are configured with a VR headset.
Guys, you’re always a joy to watch! I love horror and RE7 in VR is hands down the best experience I’ve had in VR, and is right up there in my top gaming experiences.
You may not be able to look away from the screen in VR... but you can close your eyes and pretend you’re at the Winchester, waiting for it all the blow over!
And here I thought Ian listened to the masses and made Zoe play VR Resi7 although this will still be amazing/hilarious! P.S. I wonder what Zoe had to do to get Aoife on the couch instead?
Clarkus Darkus Absolutely! This was my second PSVR game (after PSVR Worlds) and I was not ready! Ha! Truly terrifying experience but simply incredible! VR Horror is the best!
I would love to play RE7 VR. Please port it to PC VR Capcom. Edit.... Thanks for the Sunday VR entertainment. Brilliant and enjoyable VR corner as always!
You braved it well Aoife, there was a surprising lack of "Feck Off"s and "Ew"s. That said, it was fun watching you desperately trying to stall at the beginning knowing whats coming. PS: he had a "while you're in the helmet" clause in the promise Aoife, therefore not guilty. I'm available on retainer folks.
OMG YES! We all now know that the horror genre match-up of Ian and Aoife makes for all kinds of youtube awesomeness - BAFTA-worthy, many might say. A modern day Mulder & Scully?
Louisianan- "Raht nayow boah!" Irish- " Royt nyeoo booyo" Looks fun but I'm going to wait until VR framerate looks a bit smoother. Missed yer' first antique coin, oh well. About to play through madhouse for the first time.
I NEED more vr games like re7. Nothing has compared since. I'm just not scared anymore after this game. I was disappointed when the newest one didn't include vr support. Hoping for ps5 vr, so much potential.
You really should’ve turned off the snap turning. Also what about the sound? Most atmosphere in the game actually comes from the 3D sound. Is she even wearing headphones?
I played the demo of this in vr, now I am a big scaredy-cat, but the illusion broke for me when I heard Mia behind me, turn around and she wasn’t there (okay tbh I was tied to a chair, but still) And then she attacked me from behind
Press F to Pour Out A Cold One For Kim. Kim: the hardest estate agent in town (any town), Kim who is "a fucking professional and deserves respect! ". And a medal for Aoife, who knew what was coming, yet went anyway. For me, no, no, no... every one of the f'kn No words, all of them. Elite Dangerous or NMS look fine in VR, but that... that...!? ...just call me Scardy McScardy Pants The Very Much Scared.
Ian should take the controller and play while watching the screen and have Aoife wearing the vr headset i don't know if this will work as Aoife will look one way and Ian will try to go the other
As much as Aoife might not want to experience this again in VR, if she doesn't keep playing then she's abandoned Kim to her death, and that's not very nice is it?
your right like it is mega in VR unfortunately I struggled a bit with motion sickness I need to give it another go because it really is a great game I think a regular breaks or a few hours on something else to get my sea legs might help or just deal with it I dunno lol
I remember trying this, and it's the one time motion sickness made me truly angry. I wanted to enjoy it, but nausea hit me. Hat's off to Aoife for going in and being a badass! KIM TAKES NO ONE'S SHIT!
First 5 minutes of this video: This doesn't look too scary to me..... At 24:33 - *Terrified scream* What the f*** is that?!?......This feels almost as scary as Resi 2, just because there are fewer zombies. But, that possessed lady wasn't the only horrific thing; the state of the kitchen X-( !! Aggie and Kim would NOT be happy with that. Otherwise, great play through!
@@nightcatarts Thank you. It just seems so visually jarring to see sudden, what feels like jump-cuts, while she is panning her head from side to side. Surprised that it does not make her dizzy.
@@unap16 Ohh you mean the step rotation? That's actually an anti-nausea measure for when you're sitting still, where smooth turning can cause some dissonance. Often you can pick between step and smooth, & it's only for rotating the character (head movement is always smooth).
@@nightcatarts Ah! I see. Wow, perception of how motion is handled on 2D screen vs how it needs to be handled in VR is so far removed from what I had imagined. Thank you for clarification.
@@unap16 Yea. It took a while for VR devs to get a handle on it too, but now there are lots of little things they can do to help mitigate motion sickness. Many will put the protagonist in a still position or seat them in some kind of static cockpit surrounding the screen, vertical drops will often do a fade to black before impact, and teleportation can be preferable to moving around as you would in a flat game. The nausea normally fades with bit more time spent in VR though, & then the comfort settings can be turned off.
Oh man, I've just come from OX doing Resi 7. If you're looking for ear piercing screams from Aoife, try the episode of Resi 4 with the Regenerators. Poor woman shits a brick whenever they turn up
Well done Aoife - you handled that remarkably well. I can only image how horrible that game becomes in VR once you get up close and personal with the Mold. Again well done.
I replayed RE7 last weekend. It might be slightly scary first time around, but when you already know exactly what is going to happen and when its going to happen, its not scary at all. I feel like Aoife was faking most of this video.
I don't get why she'd be so afraid considering she's already seen the whole game through flat screen playing. I dunno doesn't make sense to me since she knows where all the scares are already lol.
Firstly, it removes a massive amount of the scare factor (for her) when you're sat next to her talking all the way through it. She even said it's less scary as she knew you were there. It's meant to be an immersive experience but if was having a chat, that would kinda ruin it. Secondly, if she's such a huge fan and clearly knows her way around the game, why is she jumping at nothing in the early parts when there's no bad guys or threats of any sort? She obviously knows it's the intro and nothing happens. You could run through it until you meet the Dad.
She clearly has never worn psvr as she tries to put it on like a tiara.... Ian you should have helped her get it on, she was probably looking at a blurry mess and thought it's as good as vr gets.... it ends up as a fail and I believe Ian for being a poor host for his guests
Actually, she has: ruclips.net/video/9cgYYCxBSKE/видео.html Having long hair becomes a bit of a problem with some VR headsets since you kind of need to go in face-first to stop it getting in front of your eyes.
@@nightcatarts As a lady with both long hair and glasses, I can confirm. I always have to go into a headset face-first, then adjust it once I'm in, otherwise I get hair in front of my eyes and my glasses get knocked asunder.
Now, thanks to Aoife, whenever I'm trying to get myself through a scary game, all I have to do is remember three simple words: “Kim doesn't afraid.”
Ian did promise not to spook Aoife, but only while she was wearing the VR headset. Loophole!
Ian, first of his name. Tormentor of the Eurogamer realm.
Maker of terrible puns.
GOODBYE TO CLEAN UNDERWEAR!
Hands down, my favourite PSVR game!
Cannot wait to watch this!

This game in VR is just absolutely amazing. More horror games should be in VR
deni sherlock 100%! I think the only one we have on the horizon is Follia Dear Father but that looks set to be pretty damn good
J Prez And the sequel that they are working on 😁
I’d quite like an Alien Isolation VR update.
TinySpark37 Dude, I 100% agree with you! I’ve started playing that for the first time using the PSVR cinema mode, and it is scary in that alone! In true VR would be amazing!!

Ians recent character arc towards scaring his colleagues is very welcome.
Just a hunch, but I expect Zoe had a much nicer time in Skyrim VR, than Aoife did in this.
Although...giant spiders...
Love aoife's voiceThey should make a ciri but with aoife as the voice.

"You're wee and petite and I won't take this!" line of the episode :D

He was Technically correct, the best kind of correct!
OMG YES! We all now know that the horror genre match-up of Ian and Aoife makes for all kinds of youtube awesomeness - BAFTA-worthy, many might say. A modern day Mulder & Scully?
Yay! Moar Resident Aoife!
There is a certain irony that Aoife's nervous about ResE7 in VR, when she experienced an IRL game.
Louisianan- "Raht nayow boah!"
Irish- " Royt nyeoo booyo"
Looks fun but I'm going to wait until VR framerate looks a bit smoother. Missed yer' first antique coin, oh well. About to play through madhouse for the first time.
Who needs all this sport stuff when you can just give your heart a good exercise while playing this game
I NEED more vr games like re7. Nothing has compared since. I'm just not scared anymore after this game. I was disappointed when the newest one didn't include vr support.

I just want all the Resident Evil games to be played from a badass estate agent's point of view now.
Kim doesn't afraid!
You really should’ve turned off the snap turning. Also what about the sound? Most atmosphere in the game actually comes from the 3D sound. Is she even wearing headphones?
I wish you would do a full play through of this, I need to see fearless Kim return to clean house!
"Eeww clean the toilet"

This should have been on other VR headsets and with actual motion controller support for tracking the hands.
Ian has such a pleasant voice!
Aoife you bust bow to fan pressure and do a lets play with Ian. Would be epic!
Play nice? Play knife!
That 'sigh...i don't want to' pretty sums up my whole experience beating this game in VR haha. But it was fricking AWESOME

I think Clancy is actually a burnt up corpse you come across
Ian's VR Late to the Party Corner?
Best line ever. “I promise if you scare me 😳 I’ll bunch you in the face.” So funny 🤣
Best way to deal with monsters is to go hard at them.
Best vr game imo
TRADESMAN 2027 It’s still my number 1
That title goes to No Man’s Sky and Astro Bot now, imho.
I see you used the Japanese title on the right hand side of the screen. Very nice. 😊👍🏻
I believe you play as Clancy in the "21" DLC.
ha ha ha poor lass looks shook during intro lol
As much as Aoife might not want to experience this again in VR, if she doesn't keep playing then she's abandoned Kim to her death, and that's not very nice is it?

I'm just glad that your phone decided to press on the "Send" button before shutting itself off!
You really need to get Zoe to play this.
26:23 that's some new-age marriage conciling there
Alright, now Zoe's turn!
Is this seriously the whole game in vr? Not just a partial game for vr version alone? If it's the full game I want this so bad XD
"Confessions of a Resident Evil addict"

Definitely play resident evil 7 or 2 after alien isolation 😍

What kit do I need to play this game in VR please?
Aoife may have beaten Jamie Lee for the crown of the Scream Queens.
why didnt you put on smooth moving?
Question: How does the sudden shifts in directions as seen on 2D TV look like while viewing it through PSVR?
They look the same. What you see on the video is what Aoife saw in the headset, except with another eye's worth next to it.

Will this ever be ported to pc?
should of played through the chainsaw seen
Kim should just set the entire place on fire. Sorry wife but I like my hands intact, because I in fact have Nice hands.
