I did not believe a Jazz violin legend can be made overnight; but "NOW I DO!" You play it like you've been a Jazz violinist your entire life. Great duet... SOOTHING... It has a wonderful calming effect on me.
A Jazz violinist would never play the exact same notes than in the original recording.
Grapelli himself never played the exact same solo live for minor swing
Jazz violin legend cannot be made overnight to become one you should come up with the stuff yourself on the spot and not from a sheet music.

I enjoy the new generation of classical musicians who show great integrity & respect for all genres of music. Historically, most legit players always seemed to approach popular 20th century styles condescendingly as if they were ‘slumming’ it in order to play non-classical stuff. Hadelich’s feeling, love & artistry in every style he presents is truly heart warming. Thank you maestro!

There is actually a lot written and recorded for guitar and violin (although you might have to hunt it all down). The two instruments compliment each other.

From what one of my teachers who studied w szeryng said szeryng was a very open minded guy and he could see that Augustin was making good music. Even me as an anti pop or anything classical person, I quite enjoy this.
