Sir, you have great taste and it's obvious your mind is well above average. I have a similar jacket with 18 years, 8 tins of wax and a lot of memories. Well done!
Thank you for your various Barbour reviews! As a woman thinking to get a man's model for myself it really helped, your reviews are clear and in depth, which I couldn't find anywhere else.
I’m watching your video again and wanted to let you know I’ll now be able to wear my Bedale much more since we moved from CA to TX. Ever since buying my jacket, I always felt the sleeves were a bit too short for me and just returned it to the Barbour Repair Center (thru Orvis) to have them lengthened one inch, both the inner knit cuff and the outer waxed cotton sleeve. It came back perfect and they matched the sleeve color almost perfectly. I absolutely love this jacket and it will now be my “go to” piece as the weather becomes colder and rainier. And, I love all of your Barbour videos.........wonderful quality and content. Thanks.
This is the exact Barbour I have. A835 and C 38. They are cut large for the size. I’m 6’ and 180 lbs currently with a 42 chest and large shoulders. It looks very well tailored on me.
I like your reviews. There's too much choice on the Barbour website but your explanations have helped me to understand the differences between the various models. I may a couple of hundred quid lighter now but am grinning like an idiot as I now have a lovely sage Beaufort jacket!
Based on your review, my wife and I drove to Pasadena, CA to go to our nearest Orvis store. We actually stayed overnight and bought several Barbour items for both of us. Today, I ordered another Bedale in a smaller size........I guess I didn't listen to you very well! I should have the smaller one in about a week and will just return the larger one. Thanks very much for a great review........I've watched it several times! And, listened more intently each time! I should have done that in the beginning!
hi what is your actual chest size and what size did u order ?? im a 44" but people recommend barbour 40 which is 50 inch and barbour 42 which is 51 inch. ..
Great review! I really enjoyed the detail. You are spot on about sizing - so true for Barbour's classic jackets (the International line fit is a little different, but that's another story). I'm a Barbour fanatic and have quite a few. I actually visited South Shields the last time I went to the UK, just to visit the factory and to shop at the factory store :). Again, excellent review!
I bought an Ashby before and the plastic inner lining of the arms makes the jacket nearly unusable because of the heavy arm sweat it produces. Also the build quality is not as nice (thinner fabric, stiching on top of the shoulders and arms, ventilation holes that lead nowhere as they are covered from one side). Finally got a classic Bedale and it is absolutely my favorite jacket and oddly enough I was happy when it was raining to have an excuse to go for a stroll in it. Way better build and design quality, better and more pockets. Also still made in the UK. The fit is not much wider than the Ashby. Just for anybody else wondering about that! I am not sure if Barbour is shooting themselves in the foot with inferior city line products. Thanks man for making your videos, the are by far the best and most detailed on Barbour jackets and they fit you really well, too!
Sizing remains something of a mystery. I’m 5’7”, so 36 should be ample. Tried it, couldn’t extend my arms in front of me. Perhaps my build is a bit stockier than average, although I’ve never had that impression. 38 is a good fit for me. Which is to say: don’t buy one until you can try it on, or have an easy way of exchanging it.
Thanks for all the videos bro. I was in the market for a barbour jacket and your videos really helped. Ended up getting an Olive Bedale and Sage Beaufort. Wasn't planning on getting two but loved both colors haha. Happy new year to you
@@kenneth2118 When you get the olive it almost looks like it's a dark brown rather than green. I’m so happy you called out the pronunciation police. People from different places in the English speaking world pronounce words differently. Correcting someone’s pronunciation is BAD MANNERS!
Actually, this isn't a simple case of having different regional pronunciations. The bedale jacket gets its name from a town in England. The town is pronounced bee-dale. Similarly, the beaufort jacket is named after Beaufort Castle in Scotland. So when us Brits correct your pronunciation of these names, it's because we realise you're probably not familiar with the origin behind them. Tbh though, I don't really mind how you say it, just thought I'd offer this information.
This was a great review, thanks for all the information. Have you worn this jacket, with additional layers, down to roughly 20-25 degrees F? Just curious if I could get away with it all winter as that is the coldest it gets in my area.

Saw one of these discounted on a Nordstroms rack and it's is truly beautiful jacket...question being does the Classic Bedale come in more of an army green olive? Similar to your standard Bedale?
The jacket I am wearing in this video is the Classic Bedale in the Olive Color. It is more of a dark-olive brown color when you first buy it or when it leaves the factory but as it ages on a store rack and the wax dries out it turns light-olive green. The Active or Standard Bedale which comes in the Sage Color is Dark Green when it is new and fades to a Dark Jade Green when the wax dries up a bit and when the jacket has aged a couple of years with no re-waxing done.
Can you spray a fabric protector/repellant on the Colar? LIke the kind of spray you spray on suede shoes, except the spray would be for Cordaroid material
I’m 5’11 just over 12st, I tried on an ashby size medium and it fitted really well with a T-shirt and jumper on , don’t like jackets to baggy or lose so what size do u reckon I should go with a classic bedale ?
Hello ! I just want to Know one thing : at your opinion is it the bedale vest good to wear if i Work in an airport or a blazer is more appropriated ? (my « fear » is That bedale vest is not enough « businessman looking »).
Hi olaf i have seen your videoes couple of times now, i must say am a big fan! I have ordered the bedale jacket size 30 from Country Attire and it didnt fit me very well. Am a small man standing at 160 cm with buff shoulders and chest, i could not close the jacket but the length was perfect( arms and back length) . Am just wondering if i should get size 32 or 34, I tried the beufort size 34 at store but that was too long as the length. Is beufort and bedale not as the same as sizing wise, well i understand that the beufort is longer but may it also be bigger as speaking?
Hi Olaf, Been a fan of your reviews for a long time although never commented. I recently purchased the re-released limited edition "icons" Bedale. I highly recommend you get one if you're still a fan of the brand! Has a modern slimmer silhouette but with the fully articulated raglan sleeves. I think its the best fit and quality in the entire range! Also, I live not too far from Bedale and ive started to pronounce it like you! haha Best wishes Tom
Thanks Tom! I've seen one of those Icons at my local Orvis. Although I was not a fan of the zippers (especially on the sleeves) and I did find the Icon jackets to be heavier than the Beaufort/Bedale I still love all things Barbour and I would've have purchased one but the prices in the USA were really expensive at $545 for the Bedale and $799 for the longer cut Beacon Sports coat. I will probably snap one up when the after Christmas sales happen since it did not seem like many people were buying them at Orvis. I love the return of the dress gordon tartan and gold brass snappers/zippers as well.
0LAF2046 it’s very cool of you to take the time to reply! You’re such a traditionalist I love the new zip look! Haha although for sure it’ll reduce water resistance. And I actually got the “Stag Bedale” edition so the tartan is swapped for a canvas featuring Stags and the British countryside.. it was the main reason I was will to pay retail! Usually I’m a seasonal bargain man myself! Well if you do purchase I’ll look forward to your review. Cheers Tom
Heeelp i want so bad the bedale but can’t sort the sizing: -height 178cm -weight 80 cm -chest 107cm I was looking To buy it 2 hand but seems like every barbour has its Own mesures. So far I was thinking of a c42 or c44 size (The only jacket I cloud try on was the Ashby in L and it was perfect)
Atropin I.V. I haven't seen that Eddie Bauer jacket. Where in Canada are you? I'm aware that local people in Vancouver and Toronto seem to wear Barbour clothing. Canada is a great location for Barbour products to be worn so I'm sure Barbour marketing has a few local outfitters peddling their products.
u will be surprised. ..those are perhaps british canadians who know the brand...only orvis sells and ships but their pricing is outrageous...it ends up to be over 700 cad. sporting goods.ca has limited selection. that is it. they sell for 5 60 cad.
Great vid! I'm looking for a coat like this. Also considering a Belstaff. Have you noticed the wax/color coming off on pale color seats, etc..? Was the liner included? Thanks again!
+Mason R The wax is 100% top notch. I have a BMW with tan leather seats that I've been driving for over 8 years and no wax has ever transferred onto those seats. The Zip In Liner Vest is not included. Belstaff coats are rather expensive and more exclusive for hard core fans of Biker style jackets and apparel. This Classic Bedale is easy and fun to wear and at $300-on sale to $379 retail it has been a great value.

Please do a review of the Beaufort. Last year I bought one myself (being 18, it's a big purchase) but it's the classic!! I would love to see what you think about that jacket.
+Christian Quick I just sold my Classic Beaufort C36/91cm. I was never wearing it and it was still brand new in my closet for over a year. I have my original Sage Beaufort C38/97cm with Dress Gordon Tartan lining which just got a fresh wax and cleaning that I will review for you. Thanks. By the way I sold my Classic Beaufort only to help purchase a Barbour Digby Jacket that cost a whopping $429. The Digby is a heavier weight winter wax which cut between a Beaufort and Bedale and has a quilted lining for warmth. I got it to wear thru the winter. I'm going to review that as well when it comes in.
Hi Olaf, I’m looking for my first Barbour jacket, but I got a problem finding my size, my chest size 37 inches, so I’m confused on what size of jacket do I order. Please help me.
lfni123, you have two choices. You can go online and type in - Barbour find your perfect size, before buying online. The other alternative is to go to a store and try different sizes and styles. I don't know what country you are in , but in the US you can find a decent selection in Orvis (I believe that Nordstrom also carry them). Regarding price, I recently bought my second Barbour in Scotland and paid two hundred pounds, $260 US, in the US the same jacket in Orvis cost $400 plus tax (Nordstrom, I can only imagine would be even more expensive).
Mike Gallagher hey Mike. I am wearing a Royden Shotshell belt. Color is brown with gold brass trim in the 1.5 inch width. Orvis and Filson USA makes similar belts.
Not sure where you buy that belt in the UK since Roydon and Filson are strictly USA companies that make goods in the USA and may not ship overseas. Orvis has a UK store I believe and sell goods in Europe.
Hi Olaf. What would you recommend in regards size if I’m somewhere between sizes? I’m a regular 35 chest. 5ft 8 and slim. Everything I wear is mostly a size small. I’m somewhere between XS and Small and wondered if I should be looking to purchase a 34 or a 32? Any advise would be really appreciated. Cheers
Hi Mark! I would get a c34 based on your chest width but because you are fairly tall it may fit short on you at the sleeve. I'm 5'8" like you and if you get the C36 the length may suit you better but the chest maybe too wide. This is the rare occasion where my top recommendation would be to get an XS Ashby Jacket instead of a Bedale. The Ashby would suit your height and be slim enough for you.
Hi Olaf, thanks so much for the response and your great advice. I guess we were both on the same page and thinking the same as I’ve just gone and placed an order for an Ashby in Navy. Based on the sizing do you think a Pile Liner might work on the inside or will this likely make the jacket look too puffy or indeed too tight? Thanks again mate.
Love your enthusiasm for the Barbour jackets, I have the Rustic Beaufort and Sage Bedale. They are both great, you can wear these jackets in the country or in the city. You don't even look out of place going into a business meeting wearing one of these over a suit. The Royal Family wear them and gave them 3 crowns of endorsement, I don't believe any other product has that level of endorsement, (nuff said). One thing I need to correct you on though. The top pockets are not made of fleece, they're made of a material know as moleskin, (Not the skin of a dead mole, thats just what the material is called but it is a thick warm and tough material like the rest of the product). Barbour products are bomb proof, (Not literally, just British terminology for really tough). By the way it's pronounced ------ BEE DALE Check this link about them - ruclips.net/video/qIXkFvEkW6E/видео.html
Hi. Thanks for the review. The sizing seems abit tricky especially since i need to buy this online from overseas. Do you mind if i ask whats you true chest measurement (your body, not jacket)? I usually wear S in patagonia (my chest measurement is 38). A normal M is equivalent to 36. Since i am S, do you think its 34 for me? Thanksssss
My exact Chest is like 37.9 inches. I also where a small is some of my Patagonia tops. My thing is I have broad shoulder for my chest so for certain slim-fit business suits with square shoulders I need to get a 40R. Other than than I thnk me and you are about the same build. I would get a C36.
Hi Olaf, could you please review a Lutz? I bought a Classic Bedale being inspired by this video. I wear a size C36. Perhaps, I have finished seeing all Barbour wax jacket reviews available in RUclips. Your reviews are the best. I am very interested in Lutz now and your review and a comparison of Lutz and Classic Bedale would be very helpful.
Hi, I watch every videos of yours, I am interested in buying the "Classic Bedal ", but am not sure about the sizing. My height is 5foot 9inc. chest- 38 Inc. sleeves- 24.5 Inc., Medium build Please advise.
Robert Remijnse yeah I have owned several. I did a review video of the Eskdale/Liddesdale quilts. the original MADE IN ENGLAND ones from the late 1990s
These are great jackets. I few months ago i did find a made in the UK keeperwear jacket. It is very similar to the Liddesdale jackets of the eighties. Have you ever tried Dubarry outdoor boots ??
Hello! can you help me? I want yo buy Bedale jacket but I have doubts about the size, my weight is 76 kg and my height of 1.76 cm, 102 cm chest and my back is a bit wide. What do you think is my size? Thanks
If you want a slim fit then get a C38/97cm but you said your back is wide so a C40/102cm may suit you better. The thing with Barbour Classic Bedales is they mainly get wider in the torso as the size goes up. So a 38 and 40 is about the same but you get more width in the 40. Especially if you will be wearing a sweater or liner vest underneath your jacket. I'm the same height as you but I am 70kg with a 97cm chest and I am wearing a C36 in this video. I prefer a slim fit so I went with the C36 but I can easily fit into a C38 if I was heavier/wider.
my name is Arshad i am owner of company PETROMAN SAFETY INT,L CO Sialkot pakistan. we are manufacturer and exporter all kind of motor cycle safet jackets and wax oil treatment processing. rgds Arshad.
kwalls88 where you buy is less important than what you buy. Only the Bedales and Beauforts Wax Jackets are guaranteed to be made in the UK regardless of where you purchase. Quilts, non Wax jackets and heritage or modern slim fit line of jackets (for example the Ashby) can be made anywhere. In the USA I recommend Orvis, Bahles Outfitters, Kevin’s Outfitters to buy Barbour from. The End in the UK tend to carry the most made in England barbour jackets because they hand pick their merchandise to sell. The downside of that is limited quantities that sell out fast because their prices are low. The End also ships quick and cheap to the USA
Great video are the scarves linen or lambswool and do you have a Barbour item code. Cheers. Just to let you know I bought the Royden belt direct from the states delivered to UK
Scarves are Merino Wool and one silk. Both are Barbour but do not have product codes. I got them online by searching for either "Barbour Vintage Scarves" or "[Barbour] Tartan Scarves." I had a Barbour Lambswool Scarf that I had to return it because it was too cheap looking for the price.
nice video. ever seen the asby jacket by barbour? very similar to beadle with small differences, probably more fitted... if you have seen it let me know your opinion please
Hey Marco, I've actually tried in the Ashby at my local Orvis a few years ago and while the Ashby is a good jacket there were a few things I didn't like about the Ashby. 1-too long for me. It is a longer cut but slim jacket. 2-the waxed fabric itself is heavier and rougher and grittier than the Classic Bedale/Beaufort. It is supposed to be warmer but I find the Bedale to be warm enough with good layering for North East winters. 3-the Ashby isn't made in England (it is from Turkey or Vietnam) and cost more at $429.99 off the rack than a $379/$399 Bedale/Beaufort.
I didn't know it was manufactured out of england...and that's a pity! I just bought mine on sale in regent street and I love it...it's a sort of modern review of the beadle, one of my favourite models. Hope it'll last for a decade. keep posting :)
@@olaf2046 After looking at the review, only gone and bought another to add to my collection. Doesn't look like I'll be wearing for a while with lockdown and hot weather. Went for a 42 as will be wearing for country pursuits and probably need a fleece underneath and need room to move. Keep up the great reviews.
should've trust you mate.... I usually wear 39c shirt, because I gym alot 39c still be a little tight. I think I could wear up to 40c. But man Barour's 38 is large, I think it's for someone in 180lb or above .... I got to exchange the jacket now LOL.
The C36 Bedale I am wearing is liken to a slim-Medium or same measurements as a 38R suit size. If you wear a 40R suit size then you are still considered a medium in the USA and should get the C38 Bedale.
While totally unrelated, I'm a huge Filson fan and the proud owner of their Short Cruiser jacket in the Seattle Fit. Love it, and anything waxed canvas/tin cloth. Recently discovered Barbour (I know, a tad behind on this one) I was thinking of picking one of these jackets up. I love the functional yet stylish approach to their jackets.
yes is very nice and very popular jacket wax oil processing. but we are manufacture of cotton canvas wax processing fabrics we are pakistani made. price is more resonable. Arshad
Hi, I've bought one (used) in the UK in very good condition (except for the need of a new wax coat), and I noticed it has upper flap pockets. According to a video on the Barbour youtube channel, the flap pocket were replaced in 1989 by hand warmers. Can you confirm me that is that old??
Lol, take solace in knowing about the Barbour company, not many over the pond do. Have a look at your labels, you'll see a Royal warrant, not many companies get that warrant. Just a bit of trivia for you.
+Tony yates I actually had to look up what a Royal Warrant was (yes I am from over the pond) that is really interesting though! We don't really have an equivalent of such a label in the States. Anything bearing the name "Made In USA" here is deemed as such, unofficially of course.
+Dan Goldsmith maybe the Rolex President watch and the Cadillac vehicle that the president rides in gets the seal of approval from our White House. In terms of clothing Filson and perhaps Orvis' in house "made in USA" pieces are the only clothier that take Made In The USA to heart. Converse sneakers used to have iconic made in the USA status before Nike bought them and took manufacturing to China

What about the Colar? Are they Treated with something to repel water? or can one spray a repellant on the Colar?
Can you spray a fabric protector/repellant on the Colar? LIke the kind of spray you spray on suede shoes, except the spray would be for Cordaroid material
I’m 5’11 just over 12st, I tried on an ashby size medium and it fitted really well with a T-shirt and jumper on , don’t like jackets to baggy or lose so what size do u reckon I should go with a classic bedale ?
Now I just need to find where they are available in Canada. Thanks for a great review.
Hello ! I just want to Know one thing : at your opinion is it the bedale vest good to wear if i Work in an airport or a blazer is more appropriated ? (my « fear » is That bedale vest is not enough « businessman looking »).
You said you haven’t re-waxed it in 3years, do you find it’s still waterproof or leaking in some parts
Im size S un ashby . The brand advices me run to c38 in this coat . Its ok . Should I buy c36 ?
What colour is that? Sage or olive?
Hi Olaf,
Been a fan of your reviews for a long time although never commented. I recently purchased the re-released limited edition "icons" Bedale. I highly recommend you get one if you're still a fan of the brand! Has a modern slimmer silhouette but with the fully articulated raglan sleeves. I think its the best fit and quality in the entire range!
Also, I live not too far from Bedale and ive started to pronounce it like you! haha
Best wishes
Tom
Cheers
Tom
Will you do a video of your old/vintage barbours if you have any?
kyler thomas I have my dress gordon Bedale and Beaufort jackets those are from the 1980s thru 1990s
Amazing jacket. Truly high quality stuff. Recommended
Good review mate. Any chance you could do a review on a cowen commando jacket...
What colour is that one mste
Hey David. Olive brown with classic tartan is the colour
Heeelp i want so bad the bedale but can’t sort the sizing:
-height 178cm
-weight 80 cm
-chest 107cm
I was looking To buy it 2 hand but seems like every barbour has its
Own mesures.
So far I was thinking of a c42 or c44 size
(The only jacket I cloud try on was the Ashby in L and it was perfect)
where is best place to buy this? did u ever look at kettle jacket by eddie bauer?
Do you have Link to purchase it in Germany ? It Looks just fantastic!!!
www.barbour.com/de/categories/herren/wachsjacken/barbour-wachsjacke-classic-bedale/p/MWX0010OL7130?breadcrumbs=
Is this the Same jacket like in the Video?
So if I am an XL or suite size 46R - should I go down a size and order a 44 in the bedale?
+Christian Quick It is up. I just finished a Beaufort versus Bedale video. Enjoy and thanks again
Great video mate. What make belt are you wearing and did you ever get round to doing a video.
Mike Gallagher hey Mike. I am wearing a Royden Shotshell belt. Color is brown with gold brass trim in the 1.5 inch width. Orvis and Filson USA makes similar belts.
Thanks for coming back to me mate.
Not sure where you buy that belt in the UK since Roydon and Filson are strictly USA companies that make goods in the USA and may not ship overseas. Orvis has a UK store I believe and sell goods in Europe.
Thank you very much Orvis have a shop 30 miles away from where I live I will check it out at the weekend.
Thanks again mate.
you are great! Brilliant salesman and love Barbours
By the way it's pronounced ------ BEE DALE
Check this link about them - ruclips.net/video/qIXkFvEkW6E/видео.html
Could you fit a fleece sweater underneath if you size down? I think we are around the same size
Hello, is this jacket suitable for winter?
Mustaffa Yasin vey much so. You can wear a sweater under and a business shirt and be warm down to 0 Celsius and colder.
Thank you so much for your reply. Great review!
PLEASE review the classic beaufort!!!
Matt Williams it is up. I brought it out and did a video of it
Hi, is it OK to use "Barbour wax Thornproof" in the classic olive (sylkoil)
I have the Jacket in Classic Olive
Yes. It is okay. It will look the same and offer great protection.
Thanks mate 🙏
@@olaf2046 Hi does the Barbour wax Thornproof have an expiry date?
If I’m 42cheat what would you recommend in this jacket ? Cheers
Good review. I appreciate the sizing tips
I have a Moorland classic Barbour can you review it? I think its quite rare mine is a 2000 model,
Hi, I watch every videos of yours, I am interested in buying the "Classic Bedal ", but am not sure about the sizing.
My height is 5foot 9inc.
chest- 38 Inc.
sleeves- 24.5 Inc.,
Medium build
Please advise.
i think you should buy the medium
@@roy4552 medium as in what size?? 36 or 48 ???
I wax mine every 6 months maybe it just rains more in the UK.
The bedale olive is the best jacket ever and for ever 🎉
Great review!!! Q I usually I wear Medium, does C40 102cm size is a Medium?
C40 is about a largish Medium.
Thanks so much!!
Just bought one at a Brooklyn vintage L train thrift store for $30
What colour is this Bedale? Looks great
Classic Olive with the Classic Tartan Lining.
Thanks a lot! Great work on the videos, well thought out and attention to detail
Hi does the Barbour wax Thornproof have an expiry date???
Great review of a great jacket. Olaf have you ever tried the Barbour Liddesdale jackets ??
Thank u very much!!!
I'm 69 kg and 170 cm tall, my chest is about 94 with quite big shoulders and back; what you think is better for me?
Got given one on Xmas. They just brought what they thought was n normal 40r for me~ lol the thing is cut loose alright. Like a tent
Hello, what is the difference between Barbour Bedale Jacket and Babrour Classic Bedale Jacket ?

Arshad.
Olaf, you might want too look into the Hackett clothing company, they do some excellent pieces.
That was an awesome review!
I am 5'5-5'6, 160lb. Should I get the 36 or 34? I am scared the length and arms will be too big on a 36
Yes someome answer this guy...im also 5 '6 or 5'7 at 160 lbs ...im also not sure which to buy aswell
@@briansanchez1740 I ended up getting a 34 and it was fine. I don't layer enough so the fit is still a bit loose. My chest measures 36-38
How did 34 fit on you guys? I am of similar height, 150lbs. Went with 34. Have not received it yet.
Great review mate!
Where is the best online retailer to buy one that is made in England? I emailed them they say they make them in a few other countries now
kwalls88 where you buy is less important than what you buy.
Thank you mate
For the classic Bedale would a 42 be a Large?
Yes
nice video. ever seen the asby jacket by barbour? very similar to beadle with small differences, probably more fitted... if you have seen it let me know your opinion please
Hope it'll last for a decade. keep posting :)
is barbour size xl the same in us?
I ordered a size 34 in the bedale and am a size 34 chest. Now I’m afraid it’s gonna be too big😫
Great review Olaf
Roland Carlile thanks Roland
@@olaf2046
After looking at the review, only gone and bought another to add to my collection.
Doesn't look like I'll be wearing for a while with lockdown and hot weather.
Went for a 42 as will be wearing for country pursuits and probably need a fleece underneath and need room to move.
Keep up the great reviews.
Hi Olaf. What color is this?
Olive
I cut out the storm cuffs, abit more breathable with out them
Superb video 🎉
Question the code above my size tag is mwx0018ru5236 and when I google it shows a bunch of Chinese images. Is that a cause for concern? @OLAF2046
should've trust you mate.... I usually wear 39c shirt, because I gym alot 39c still be a little tight. I think I could wear up to 40c.
But man Barour's 38 is large, I think it's for someone in 180lb or above ....
I got to exchange the jacket now LOL.
thank you though. your review did help me alot! great video
Would this be a so called small?
The C36 Bedale I am wearing is liken to a slim-Medium or same measurements as a 38R suit size. If you wear a 40R suit size then you are still considered a medium in the USA and should get the C38 Bedale.
While totally unrelated, I'm a huge Filson fan and the proud owner of their Short Cruiser jacket in the Seattle Fit. Love it, and anything waxed canvas/tin cloth. Recently discovered Barbour (I know, a tad behind on this one) I was thinking of picking one of these jackets up. I love the functional yet stylish approach to their jackets.
My Ashby leaks at seems.. I should of bought a bedale
yes is very nice and very popular jacket wax oil processing.
but we are manufacture of cotton canvas wax processing fabrics we are pakistani made.
price is more resonable.
Arshad
Hi, I've bought one (used) in the UK in very good condition (except for the need of a new wax coat), and I noticed it has upper flap pockets. According to a video on the Barbour youtube channel, the flap pocket were replaced in 1989 by hand warmers. Can you confirm me that is that old??
you the man
You should wear a 38 - this one is too small for you
It's pronounced Beedale, named after a village in Yorkshire, England.
I knew it would only be a matter of hours before all my college English professors of past would find me on RUclips and correct me. Sigh
+olaf2046 Rolex would have to be American for that to work surely.
Good simple review, thanks.
Is this the olive version?
James Plunkett yeah the Classic Bedale/Beaufort/Ashby jackets are all Olive. the regular Bedale/Beaufort is the Sage
Excellent review thank you
