- Before Troy, there was Thebes.
When Oedipus died, he left his city to his sons... but they could not rule together. When Eteocles banished his brother Polynices from his kingdom and his throne, he set Polynices on a path for revenge.
This story follows Polynices from his exile from Thebes, to his arrival in Argos, where a mighty army was assembled with seven mighty champions.
They marched on Thebes, but was their mission a success?

I really appreciate you giving bite sized quotes in their originals and in transliteration. It really does help to get across the feel of the sources themselves more instead of just a detached retelling, somehow distant from their origin and their tone.
Its a very effective style. Especially for a shorter form video where you dont have the time to go on long winded explanations.And you continuing that tone into your own words is just the cherry on top.

My absolute favourite hero for so many reasons - I hope to cover the 'Second' Seven Against Thebes at some point, i.e. the 'Epigoni' where Diomedes another the other 6 sons of the original heroes succeed where their fathers failed
