Thanks, I know guys need to get mother shipped to deeper water to catch fish because their waters is a different from ours, but they have a huge advantage to fight fish! They are fresh, don't have to carry anything except their rod and reel that the fish is hooked to, not worry about getting dragged out miles and paddling back in with their catch on their yak and have unlimited help from the boat at any time they need it! I like to do it all myself! The reward is much greater in my opinion!

The fishing in Hawaii I'm sure is different than here in the Gulf Coast off TX, on every level. So while this question may seem silly, I have to ask, what kind of sharks do you have to worry about in HI? Tiger, White, other?

I have one and believe me, I beat the crap out of this tuna before I pulled it up on my lap!!! I use a Humminbird because it has a scupper hole transducer but most small, waterproof FF works great for kayak fishing needs!
