A part not apart. Harvard is pretty good but you will find a lot of trust-fund babies there, I find there are other institutions with more focused programs. Then again I am a biased John Hopkins grad.

Being a percussionist for many years, and performed tons of compositions like this, from my experience there’s always one person who really wants to be a part of the ensemble but isn’t able to play any of the parts, so he just gets shoved in as a comedic element who dances around.

It is very important in comedy to have timing and strong control over the focus of the reader/listener, if there is a way to achieve the same pin point clarity + humour, it should be used instead. I just don't know it.
Plus, I really think people should be called as they dress/looks, for clarity, this way you could control how you want to be called, and looks is a strong pointer of gender, mostly if you want to be part of a gender you will probably dress and look like they do, because there's a high chance that was one of the first things you noticed about yourself, you didn't want to look like the gender you were "assigned". If you just don't like the way your assigned gender is treated you will just fight for equality, if you don't feel attracted the opposite sex you are just homosexual, if you want to say you are x gender but don't want to look like it at the same time, you probably just want the free pass to complain and feel part of a club, even if it confuses and slow down any attempt of solution for the real troubles this group faces.

Everyone is complaining about the dude actin’ like a windmill “instead of helping”, but it seemed like they were on bass, and using those arm cycling/head bobbing motions to help with the beat, and most importantly, they look to me like chief morale officer.
@Mordecai Thing is, the group probably wouldn’t have included them if if they were doing nothing of value. I feel like there has to be something they contribute that’s just hard to see from the outside.
They definitely have other songs where he plays, and it'd be more awkward to just have him sit there doing nothing

It just means the song has very few bass notes. Someone must play them on beat, nonetheless.
