Gorilla tag really fucked it up with this rework
Like no offense but oh my god
I was expecting Caves to get a few layout changes and maybe Ziplines and ropes around the map like how Canyons and Mountains had that, but no, they completely ruined it and decided remaking THE ENTIRE MAP was a great idea
Instead, it made the map even more dead then it was before and just, not fun and soulless
Imo, this was the lowest and hugest L the devs have taken so far
Thank you for making this though as I really do miss old caves.. a lot
The old memories and fun times I had there, ghost myths originated down there and now that the new caves is here, there have been barely any new ghosts because it doesn’t feel as scary as it was before

And every like is every person that misses old caves and hopes it comes back, even if there’s a huge chance is doesn’t

Every time I go down the tunnel i just sit and stare at the entrance and close my eyes. I imagine the old caves. Then I go have fun. My friends just see me stare at the entrance for like 8 seconds.

basically the entire story of the campaign:
this takes place right before caves got closed down:
king gorilla took over gorilla tag, and is looking to destroy every single map, starting with caves, you and your monke rescue team are the only who can stop him
you get a really cool banana gun, you make your way through, destroying enemies and beating levels, then comes the bossfight:
you beat king gorilla extremely easily, and obviously fake credits roll, but it turns out, king gorilla had an ally, and he is here:
the giant enemy spider.
and the giant enemy spider remix plays
then after the bossfight is done, the monke rescue team talks about how awesome it is to take gtag back, but at what cost? caves was destroyed, and then credits roll with old caves screenshots, with this playing

The new one has so much more things, nostalgia and good memories doesn’t mean old is better in terms of quality , but yes old caves had some nice memories

In my opinion new caves is better more alive and fun but it’s bad for infection lobbies cuz there’s no routes or anything in it but OG caves sucked it was empty boring and creepy but looking back it was way more nostalgic and better for tag so new caves is better but oh is nostalgic
