@@smiller4659 I was in college when the Rio album came out. It was a huge hit but really it was just part of the fun fluff of the era. There was nothing that artful about it. These songs though have a lot more substance.
It was around the same time 1993- SOFAD album by Dm. Dm are so more cool , but that album by Duran Duran was really really good too and I just seen Them live. Simon has a great voice

One of the things I always liked about this band is that they never got political. That's pretty rare. Their music is all about beauty and life and joy, the way it should be.
This and "Ordinary World" are my favorite Duran Duran songs. I lived through the 80's but these 2 songs just have more staying power IMO.
Absolutely. Something about being a young adult at the time of release of these songs-they hit deeper for me.
