So happy this is getting back the horror vibes of SH1 and Koudelka again. I absolutely adore the designs and the vibes so far and the idea for the new combat! Really hoping for this campaign to succeed!!! More Dark Horror JRPG's should exist!!!

Yeah when I think horror i think of a three punch combo to a shot gun blast then transforming into a yu gi oh monster.
The visual style, the music, the battle mechanics, even the character portraits, are all giving me strong Shadow Hearts vibes, and I can't express how HAPPY that makes me ❤️

I know people love that shit but honestly I just want a game with the tone of koudelka but with a good rpg battle system.
Sad we can't get an actual sequel to Shadow Hearts due to the legal rights dispute, but if this is by the same team, it should be more than worth playing. Though it'll be hard to top Yuri as a protagonist. He was equal parts bad-ass and smart-ass.
Well we had Yuri from Tales of Vesperia
and Yuri from King of Fighters/Art of Fighting
Yuri Hyuga is another level of JRPG protagonist.
Also, he looked mighty fine in Covenant.

Having just played the first game, I felt like he and most of the characters were pretty underdeveloped. But after just starting the second game, it definitely feels like they're doing a lot more. Glad I stuck it out through the first game.
The game already looks pretty amazing at such an early stage of development. The Shadow Hearts atmosphere has been nailed 100%, this was exhilarating to watch !

Clearly a proof of concept instead of actual gameplay. Still it's a great proof of concept that shows how close to Shadow Hearts this game is going to be in terms of theme and mechanics. Looking forward to it!

I grow up playing the Shadow Hearts series and I love the fusion system, I also love the modern take of transformation. I hope we get more of unique fusions in the future.
SH1 blew my mind away with it's aethestic all those years ago, SH2 is still one of my favorite JRPGs of all time, and SH3...we'll not talk about that one. Super hyped to play Penny Blood though. I'm glad some of the old JRPG guys are getting back in to it. Shame it is so hard to find a publisher. I only ran across the kickstarter earlier today by accident

I actually got chills down my spine watching this, especially cause I loved Koudelka and the Shadow Hearts games. I really can't wait for this game as it just looks like it is ticking all the boxes from what little development footage we got here. I hope this project does well cause we need more games like Koudelka and Shadow Hearts.

Looks pretty good! You can tell this is really the work of Matsuzo Machida and the music of Yoshitaka Hirota. The atmosphere, the period setting, the unsettling, dark music, the menus, it reminds you of Koudelka/Shadow Hearts.

I am so excited to see a spiritual successor to Shadowhearts. I love the details that went into the game and also love the battle theme too. It also looked like Matthew is cutting his wrist with his pendant to initiate the fusion process. I could be wrong but it was just an observation.
Roger Bacon better make an appearance
The only thing I hope they change is the From the New World Team Combo System. They should hopefully consider using Covenants team combo system where you could strategize who you want to team up with and the risk reward of losing a turn for a team attack instead of a fill up the bar.

I love all the shadow hearts and its still one my favorite series. The " i love scene" in Shadow hearts 2 is one of mine top emotional scenes in gameing. Additionally i love the music in shadow hearts and wish i could easily listen to the ost from those games without haveing to rely on RUclips. Wish it can be included as a addon on or something for penny bloods ost so i can listen to it on Spotify while driving to work.
