This makes me really nostalgic for some reason, I had never heard this song before outside of youtube videos yet it reminds me of something, another song that I've heard before, a long time ago
That probably is because you heard something like it before in the past. Like the limital spaces, it is probably familiar with you in one way. Yes, it’s different, but either the tune, beat, ETC. is similar. Similar to something you might of experienced in the past.
@@kholepowered Yeah, the two notes specifically at 0:06 followed by the three decending notes after that are a slightly different yet similar synthy instrument remind me of another game I think. The decending notes, the very artificial instruments, its all very familiar.

The CD had this game on it, and when I played it for the first time I was freaking out and scared at seeing that first headcrab in the test facility after the Resonance Cascade scene. Nostalgia!

El juego en si estaba muy bueno, con todas esas mejoras y correcciones de errores, pero añadirle un modo cooperativo con pantalla dividida fue perfecto y hermoso. Gran juego.

It was a ps2 exclusive so probably because of that
you can mod it to play, unfortunately it doesn't work very well because the song will continue to play after loading into a map...
About god damn time someone did this. The PS2 port theme IS Half-Life's theme IMO.
It is inferred that this is a canon theme for Half Life 1, as this track was included in an official Valve product (PS2 Port)!
