She really had a great voice! I have a CD of her Christmas songs from years ago. Her Ave Maria is absolutely stunning. She and Edie Gorme were the best voices of that time!
My favorite the Queen, the first female rocker who deserves to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!!! I don't care for them and their particular choices and excuses but if they did it i would respect them. Connie and the Ed Sullivan Show Rocks! ❤
Finally! Another post of the incomparable Miss Connie Francis on this great channel. Thank you very much. No one can deliver a power ballad like Connie can. She pours her heart and soul into every word she sings. On this same show she also performed her million selling hit Second Hand Love. I really hope we will get to see that uploaded here very very soon!
According to Historic Films which houses the Sulllivan archives: "CONNIE FRANCIS - SECOND HAND LOVE & RING DANG DO" *AUDIO ONLY FOR MOST OF HER PERFORMANCE* Damaged tape evidently. They did post the audio of "Second Hand Love" about a year ago.
@@MostlyBrenda I have a copy of Connie's performance of Second Hand Love and it is fine. Ring a ding was not part of Connie's set on this show. Let's hope we will see Second Hand Love posted here soon. As well as the one Brenda Lee performance still missing....
@@bartpeeters380 Interesting, well they also messed up the name of this song at Historic Films, listing it as "How Can I Go On". Goofy because it is well known. I wonder if this channel is continuing after the initial 3 year agreement.
What a perfect performance and vocalization... the emotion is transmitted with the gesture, with the voice, with the look... Connie Francis was (IS) unique!!
In 1960 i bought Connie's 45 "Many tears ago." When I played the flipside "senza mamma" I was amazed at the difference in stile.Since then i've always loved it. However, this live rendition is even better than the studio recording, if that were possibile. Thanks for posting these gems from the Ed Sullivan Show which, being British, i had never seen. Please let's have more of the same.
I agree about th elive version, and that was the case with many of Connie's live perofrmances of her records. She is one of the very few who actually sound better in person.
Finally more Connie Francis.🤩

Wonder if her records are be repressed now that records are back
Just so beautiful, both vocally and physically.
Her stage presence was immense!
Connie Francis...was so good....a real pleasure to listen to.....
Beautiful!! More for fans of Connie Francis! It has been a while.

Have always loved this song by Connie. She has a 'one of a kind voice" that no one can compete with.
One of the best recordings, and she has many best.
