Lol. Joby Baker. I used to get so upset trying on clothes as a kid. I always thought to being Twiggy. My mom used to tell me i had a Connie Francis shape. I always appreciate that as i grew older 😊
@@joeyjosephs MGM K 13431 WHEN THE BOYS MEET THE GIRLS [SINGLES VERSION-unissued]/EXODUS/HAVA NAGILAH. They should have put MAIL CALL on the 'b' side.proposed release date Jan 1966. I wonder if any copies escaped printing?
This is a remake of the Gershwin's musical, Girl Crazy that originally starred Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney (which had Embraceable You and Bidin' My Time). But it was also a mash-up of all the talent on the MGM label which is how you get Connie Francis, Herman's Hermits, Sam the Sham and Liberace in the same movie. I've got to see the whole thing now!
If Connie Francis had come along in the late 1940s when there was more of the studio system in place , she would have more of a chance to become a movie star like Doris Day et. al, By her time in the early 1960s the studio system was on its last legs .
John, there was at least one earlier version of Girl Crazy before MICKEY and Judy - Did MGM see this as a" something for everybody " concept - the Gershwins' songs AND 60s rock'n' roll AND Liberace AND Louis Armstrong? Unfortunately, something for everybody often means, commercially, nothing for anybody! Harvey would appear to have been singing the verse to " Embraceable You " - movie musicals tend to leave out the verses of stage musicals' songs! I saw this on CBS-TV in the late 60s - not since.
And her tight blue jeans , which Joby Baker made a remark about in the movie , also Joby peeked at Connie"s bubble butt in her tight jeans as she was singing Mail Call .
She is really a beauty ,love Connie France ,her voice is so Beautiful , 💕

At 3 :13 Connie"s bubble butt .
This film was outdated in 1965, given Where The Girls Are was released five years prior in 1960
😗😗😗👍❤
I always thought she was very pretty....even when she got older.
Connie could act, but the scripts that she was served up were embarrassing. Her voice was the real star.
And her tight blue jeans , which Joby Baker made a remark about in the movie , also Joby peeked at Connie"s bubble butt in her tight jeans as she was singing Mail Call .
They must have spent all of $1.99 on those opening credits!
Without the beard and dark hair, Harve Presnell doesn't look a thing like his character in Paint Your Wagon.
He is naturally blond, as he was in "The Unsinkable Molly Brown," "Glory Guys," etc., (and in high school).
Noone
