- I was fortunate to get a tour of a new nightlife complex, just down the road from Ahnvee Adult Resort. Frank was kind enough to give me a tour and I had the pleasure of meeting the man behind the development David owner of City Lights. I must say I was impressed with the scope of development going on in the Red Zone. As it was explained to me there will no longer be any bars or nightclubs along the main strip in Sosua "Pedro Clisante". There will be a host of independent clubs bars and lounges all put together in one big entertainment nightlife complex, I'm excited to see this vision come to past.

Once this place opens up Ahnvee is history. Ahnvee is only relevant when covid is around and the other clubs are closed.
The story of Ahnvee's demise goes back years.
@RCP Pilot They used to say it won't last because of wrong area, too expensive, not enough clients, poor management police across the street suppress any night activities.
I can tell that you guys are Ahnvee haters because if this place is popping, they will put everyone out of business not only Ahnvee. And for the record, Ahnvee was popping before covid as during Superbowl weekend, Ahnvee was the only place to be. Ultimately the clientele will determine who is successful.
@@bornjust2003 Not hating on Ahnvee. The FACT is Ahnvee is only relevant when Classico and Merengue and City/Sosua Lights are closed. Anyone who has been going to Sosua for any period of time knows this. I've been going to Sosua 6 times a year since 2014/2015. I've never felt the need or desire to go to Ahnvee while those other clubs were open. And once the 2413 Red Zone really kicks off Ahnvee will become irrelevant again. FACTS!! MARK MY WORD!!
Ahnvee charges chicas 500pesos to get in...bullshit, it should be 50 or 100 for them ✔

No shade, i love the concept, but, yes there is a but. He is going to have to spend a fortune in security people and cameras. I since a lot possible illicit behaviors that can get out of hand quickly if not on top of things. But, i wish him well and much success and hopefully it will be a benefit for the people of sosua.
There will be security everywhere, and much more, customer svc and safety is number one.

That dude that own City Lights got MONEY!! He had City Lights open every night for like 2 years with almost nobody coming there except the workers. They had the best sound system in Sosua. When I first started visiting Sosua years ago I used to stay in the rooms at the front on the second floor.

@Jackson Jeter yeah for my first 2 years in Sosua all I had to do was call and say my name and they saved 1 of 2 regular rooms for me, Rooms B or C. The rooms I stayed in were simple and clean. They cleaned the rooms every day and gave me fresh towels. It had a bed, one of the largest flat screen TVs in Sosua, a safe, a small fridge, and warm water most of the times. I was so close to the strip I was running 3 or 4 chicas through that joint every day and night. I learned that year that I didn't need a $70 hotel room to make chicas happy and they don't give you a discount for staying in an expensive villa. Actually my first night in Sosua I stayed at New Garden $55-60 and I left the next morning..I didn't feel the New Garden hype. Matter of fact the prettiest chica I ever met in Sosua was staying at City Lights couple days with a white dude. I spotted her and had security get the digits for me. I texted her and she told me he was leaving the next day. She stayed with me for 2 or 3 days. Prettiest funniest chica I ever met in DR. We still WhatsApp friends to this day. Eventually after a year or so I found out about Airbnbs and condos. But I had some great memories at City Lights. Somebody even poisoned and killed the manager there while I was in the states. It was in the news.
City lights always had people in it. Especially white older tourist women looking for young Haitian men
@@jamesanderson9662 when I first started going to Sosua about 5 or 6 years ago I stayed at the hotel at City Lights. This was when it was an open air Disco/Club, not enclosed, no walls no windows, you could see right in the club from outside. Practically Noone would be in there, not even Haitian chicas, but they would still pump up the music. The bass would be rattling the windows in my room but I didn't care it just helped to mask chica noises from my neighbors.

Willy the new mayor already changed zone 7 back to a club district which is where Classicos is. This place is nice but will not compete with the strip or Ahnvy.
Willy didn't make the zones, it was done by state gov.
@@frankurban3562 Ilana Newman who was the old mayor created the zones. WIlly has changed them already. It was done at a local level.
My husband is Dominican and my dream is to own a second home in the hills of Sosua. It's good to hear that they have been clearing the prostitution in the area because I know that was a big problem. Thank you for this video!
