    I cook mine the same way but leave the outer leaves on. They have a lot of great fiber. I also add anchovy paste to the garlic. Then put anchovy sauce over artichoke then browning under the broiler. Delicious

      Run around the house semi naked scattering them in the air with every skip you take then blame it on Covid when the wife asks you what the hell you are doing, in the UK you could blame it on Brexit! Alternatively put them in the compost bin making sure you are fully clothed.

    OK first I love Artichokes and as an avid gardener I love growing things most won't. So I planted my artichokes by seed and this is their 3rd year and I got some nice artichokes. So I had NO idea on how to cook them and how to get the choke out. I watched your video and just tried to do it on one. THANK YOU it was that easy after seeing you do it. If I do say so it came out great, Thanks again.

    I am in the process of cooking this recipe right now. It was so effortless for you. Not for me. It only worked after I peeled the leaves without cutting the top off. I had enough problems, so I had to skip the lemon juice. It was hard for me to tell when to stop peeling. Also, the fluff was difficult to get out with a spoon or with anything. I did not end up with the empty middles you had. My artichokes were probably not as good as yours and my cooking skills obviously weren't as good. You make it look so easy. I hope they taste good. But this was too much work for me. I did put the leaves in a bowl, as you suggested, which cut down on the mess a bit. When I got a heart, it was delicious. But my artichokes were inferior. They were all tough leaves. Next time, I will use canned. My store does not have good artichokes. Too much waste. I knew mine didn't look like the ones you had. Good recipe, but I had an inferior product.

    What a great twist on artichokes. My only comment is the loss of all those great leaves that contain tasty scrapable bites. I think I'd save them for a pot of boiled, garlic water and serve them as a side dish.

  • @alanmundy5241

    Simple and delicious. Though here in the UK artichokes are generally much larger with the concomitant fibrous centres which are the devil's own job to remove.

    • @FR-tb7xh
      @FR-tb7xh 7 месяцев назад

      Every artichoke has them. That spiky center with the hairy base, atop the heart, is called the “choke.” Large or small (as he showed here), it’s easy to scoop out once the artichoke is halved.

    Un sistema muy bueno para pelar los ajos es,ponerlos dentro de un frasco de cristal vacío de judías o similar, taparlo con su tapa, y sacudirlo hasta que se haya desprendido toda la piel , en menos de un minuto quedan todos pelados.
