yes we did get a light upgrade mid vid, and also yes, the combo did not burst at all Timestamps: 00:00 - Introduction 00:38 - Research and Development 03:27 - Testing: Wizard Rod 9-60 Ball 04:51 - Testing: Phoenix Wing 1-60 Rush 06:12 - Testing: Knight Mail 1-60 Point 07:49 - Testing: Shark Edge/Keel Shark 3-60 Flat 08:42 - Testing: Whale Wave 1-60 Flat 09:49 - Conclusion
@XACE_BLADER I personally like 60 and 70 height but I'm not such a fan of 80 height- it just seems to make stamina combos too unstable, attack combos less likely to hit well, and defense combos more likely to be KOd. Unlike some people say though, I don't think higher ratchets are actually much more likely to be burst (unless you're using something like DB). I don't have 3-85 yet though, so I'm looking forward to testing that when I do.
It would be interesting to see this combo but with hell's hammer. It may be a lot lighter than whale wave, but its design is supposed to be specifically made for downwards smashes, so a comparison between the two blades' ability might be worthwhile.
I did the testing against some of the top meta beys (WR 3-60B, SW 9-60H, PW 1-60R, TB 5-60P, and DB 1-60LF) and it the test came up to 60% in Win Rate so I can confirm this is a good combo. I love this channel because it adds science to it and teaches you science which I love
I’ve been using this combo since I started playing X and it is my absolute favorite. Hits like a truck and has enough end game stamina to actually outlast anything right spin as long as you make good contacts. I use 9-60 with it for more LAD but this is dope!
I am using 7-70 for my Whale wave at the moment. Kinda wished that 7-80 exist ... For bit, I am using Rush bit because ... the issue of self ko after dashing (I tested with Level, Point, Gear Flat, Accel, they all self ko if dashing successfully right after launching) and no other 10 gears bit exist yet. I want TT to release something like Rush Point, or even Rush Taper would be good for me ...
Yeah rush is actually an amazing bit, but the reason we didn't use rush was cos with the 80 height, this Beyblade just too tall and heavy so Rush's movements are highly diminished
You guys should try it against CDragoon 9-60 Elevate. This is one of the strongest meta combo out there and are prominent in the Asia Championship. Anyways, really love this video and the approsch you guys take. I think I'll try this combo and maybe bring it to tournaments
Thanks for the support 🙏 also yes we made a video on dragoon elevate! It's a very popular combo here in Australia, and it's definitely one of the strongest 💪
I previously ran a similar combo except it was 9-80 HT during Singapore's G1, managed to get a few ko but ultimately it high weight and shape made it more prominent to get over finish, or perhaps I wasn't experienced enough
I think 9-80 has a bit less weight than the other 80 ratchets, makes quite a difference, also the balance isn't so good with the tall 9 ratchets (9-70 and 9-80) as their radius is quite small
Yeah I don't know why it's not on more lists. WhaleWave is easily my second fave over DranBuster. If not right up there with it. I have always been partial to Taper since I launch hard af, but also lately have been liking GP and launching it flat. Seriously, try it. Probably the best XF chance I have ever seen. Way better than Point
At this point, Imma have to make a deck using these combos you give out, this whale wave combo, I tried and it demolished wizard rod on 9-60 gear needle (don't have hexa or ball for it) even if I was only using taper and not high taper
I’d have swapped 1-80 to 3-85 for extra height and better burst resistance, and I think Rush would be a stronger bit because of the consistent xtreme dashes it can perform
I get the idea behind this, but 1-80 gives the bey a concentrated area of mass that can deliver harder blows on impact. Plus while Rush wouldn't be bad, they're using High Taper specifically due to its added height. Maybe if we ever get a 1-85 or 1-90 that would also be better, but until then 1-80 works for what it is. Also the 3-85 ratchet we have now damages the prongs, so probably not the best condition to be testing it exhaustively
Yeahhh 3-85 would be a shout, but 1-80 is just superior in terms of performance. I actually did consider rush but the Beyblade is so heavy that it just doesn't move that well
Personally I wouldn't use Whale as a defence type. This is due to the shape of the blade which leaves the ratchet exposed, especially paired with 5-70, means that the combo would have a high chance of bursting. Personally I'd use either 1-60 or 7-60 on whale
The inherent problem when going up against dragoon elevate match up is it being left spin bey. Also elevate is kinda more of a stamina bit that has insane mobility, so it turns dragoon into a stamina monster, that pose difficulty for a right spin bey to land solid hit on it. Not to mention that dragoon itself is pretty heavy too.
Actually left spin beys have a unique ability to take hits softer due to the sheer fact they spin left. So this beys whole gimmick is severely weakened against any left spin
The first challenge of 2-60 (which I accidentally learned myself) is that, the ratchet hitting the dash rail, and simply self burst. If its 2-80, the issue wouldn't be that apparent. But 2-60 just keep hitting the dash rail with its protruding parts make it impossible to use. Unless you intentionally smooth out the protruding parts so that it shape kinda like 1-60.
@@ShadowDaPk It’s not a claim. It’s a challenge proposed based on the community's perception of the 2-60, which, at first glance, seems to add no value to any combo. Apparently, it brings more weaknesses than benefits. Personally, I believe the ratchet could work in some niche, but I don’t have the necessary knowledge to pull that off, so maybe someone else can. I enjoy watching off-meta combos. It's sad, but 2-60 is unbalanced, the protrusions are ridiculously prominent, it interferes with the beyblade when it reaches the extreme line, it can scrape the arena, it’s easy to burst, etc, etc, etc.
yes we did get a light upgrade mid vid, and also yes, the combo did not burst at all

I love seeing more combos use other height ratchets now. Was a bit annoying everything needing to use a 60 to be competitive.
Yeah I'm glad we could use anything other than a 60 ratchet
CD 7-70 Glide WR 5-70 Hexa
Yeah, most of the bladers ignore the benefits of higher ratchets and just label them bad for every combo.

the knightmail battles were hilarious so much shenanagin they got up to
It was actually insane 😭😭 knight mail always makes crazy battles for sure
This beys actually so interesting, I think I'll try run it at a tournament
Would go insane, please tell us how you did 💪
Got any results?
The knightmail vs whale was such a nice battle 💆🏽♂️💆🏽♂️

Just found out you can reverse rail ride this Whale Wave build against attack types and you can watch every piece fly out.
Whatttt, gotta try to reverse rail ride now 😭😭

I actually followed this build and used it at our local tourney. It got me to the semis, then Top 5 in the finals. Hits like a truck. Haha....
Glad you enjoyed it!
@MBBCMonashBeybladeBattlingClub I did! It's gonna be part of my deck moving forward. 😁😁😁
Strongest attack type?!
Knight mail just gets wrecked dang
Ikr and knight mail is good
Can't wait to get my hands on a Whale Wave! This combo looks fun as hell!
Yessssss whale is definitely a must have, especially if you can get elevate! Have fun 💪
new favorite beyblade x channel
Thanks for the support 🙏 more great content coming soon!
damn I knew I was onto something when I noticed that my whale wave 3-70 T was hitting harder compared to when I was using a 3-60/1-60.
Haha yessir 🫡 SCIENCE 💪💪
what a interesting beyblade video, im dropping a like!
Thanks for the support! More content coming soon 💪
@ your welcome and I can’t wait to see!
I would love to see this used at a tournament, could be cool for sure
Hehe special video coming up!
Nice video and combo as always. Do you think Dran Buster works instead of Whale?
I think it might work. For sure painted dranbuster could do some damage
I’m getting my whale tomorrow. Definitely gonna have to give this a try
Have fun with it!
how is your opinion for the trustyness of that build compair to Drainbuster 1-60L
More or less the same things
Hey! What ripcord are you using for the samurai saber launcher? Looks clean
Just the normal winder launcher one (red). My samurai Saber ripchord is broken 🤣
what is with sending them out of the arena? does that not give points?
Yeah unfortunately it you hit your opponent out of the arena (over the top) it's no points and a redo
@MBBCMonashBeybladeBattlingClub oh that is weird - in casual we just count it as 3 like the xtreme zone

Glad you have fun!
That wizard rod clip was so real lmao😂😂😂
So true 😂😂
Could've done Rubber Accel for better grip. Also, do Knight Mail 9-60L
True but it has horrid stamina
Can youmake a video with a battle between this knockout Whale Wave and the superfast KnifeShinobi?
Sounds like a good shout!
Theorycrafted defense combo:
The fastest defense type!!!
Knight Lance
7-70
Metal Needle
Note: PLEASE LAUNCH FROM 20CM OR BELOW
Haha thanks!
or maybe knight shield, knife shinobi and black shell are faster

Gear point is a lovely bit, defo one of my favourites. Also yeah whale wave is a decent blade, it's nice to just have a natural wizard rod counter tbh
You should try knight mail with quake 😂
Good idea 💪 quake is peak 🤣🤣
It’d be cool to see the least burst resistant bey
Would have some insane fights ngl 😭
and hes back it at the kicthen cooking 🔥
Thanks for the support, more content coming soon 💪
Do you think blue phoenix with 39g would be better than whale for this combo or no?
Could be 39 grams is insane for sure

Flat/tilt launch?
Tilt launch a bit
@MBBCMonashBeybladeBattlingClub ok, but any alternative for bit? Level or smth
What did knight mail do to whale wave 😭
It was actually dangerous 💀

High taper right?
1-80
@@MBBCMonashBeybladeBattlingClub oo ok im wrong 🤣
Question does crimson Garuda have any usage?
I've yet to test it out, but from what I've experienced it's okay have to give a bit more attention to it tho
@@MBBCMonashBeybladeBattlingClub nice i have all the november beys releases the set samurai and garuda but i did not open them yet
Interesting 🤔 I might give this a go haha
It's actually really fun ngl 😂 but you do have to launch it properly
@ don’t u mean, just LaUnCh HaRdEr?
Hi sir is whale wave 5-70 D is good combo sir?
Personally I wouldn't use Whale as a defence type. This is due to the shape of the blade which leaves the ratchet exposed, especially paired with 5-70, means that the combo would have a high chance of bursting. Personally I'd use either 1-60 or 7-60 on whale

Will give it a try!
I. Heard that this samurai saber. Combo. On elevate is strong 💪
Bto love your analysis
Thanks for the support 💪 more coming soon!
why no 3-85 3-85 is taller
A bit too slow
Ultimate Defense??
Sounds like a good idea
Shark supremacy, this is whale propaganda, because the launch is bad😂

There is no amount of physics in the reality we live in that can make 2-60 work in a combo. Yes, I’m proposing a challenge for you 👀
People really be agreeing with a claim made with no proof.

Taper, but it's not as good tbh. Maybe lowrush?
