Hey man! First of all you’re a legend for opening a beyblade store and trying to run regular tournaments! I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing negativity from certain people, I hope it’s a small percentage of the people in your area. Personally I’d be nothing but excited about there being more places to blade more regularly so I hope other people see your store and feel the same!
Hey just a heads up that the WBO as an organization is not attacking anyone - Organizers are independent hosts who advertise on our platform, but I will look into the concerns raised here.
@BeyLand_Bro I'm staff there, we have no interest in drama or putting people out of business, we just want people to play beyblade. It turned out the people doing this have basically nothing to do with us aside from attending a couple of events, they aren't organizers let alone staff.
Wbo is filled with up tight people so are some in other smaller groups like bbax. They're really rude and if you're not one of them or use certain words they don't listen or agree with you
To be honest, this is the reality of the WBO that they aren't really telling anyone. They like to claim they aren't monopolizing the competitive community but this behavior from various organizers says otherwise. Despite what many people believe, you don't really need to be a WBO organizer to run tournaments. You could just do it all yourself honestly but considering the toxicity of some of the members, this issue really needs to be addressed more.
I hope things will look up for you brother, your initiative is great, especially since you have a physical store and you host tournaments. i've seen other people buy out stores and just resell them online for profit. taking away others' chances to have beyblades that they want, and not really helping the community grow. i hope you won't give up on your dream and your passion. thanks for your support for the community.
I've been to 15+ plus WBO tournaments and they are probably the best thing for Beyblade in the US. I've never experienced what you've experienced and I have the up most respect for speaking your mind and bringing this situation into light. I hope this situation gets resolved and I hope you keep grinding! A beyblade shop is not an easy thing to set up at all and I salute you for building up ur dreams!
This is just sad. Also happening to the passionate bladers here in the Philippines. Starting a small business and getting pulled down by co bladers from the community. We don’t need this kind of negativity in this hobby. Hope you find strength to share your love for blading in other ways.
Can you share more? I'm new to Beyblade X (played back when I was a kid) but locally, I see these "ban kee" stuff that I really don't care about that sounds like gatekeeping. Got Beys from Japan and I'm happy with them.
@@barbs8851 If you don't know, Ban Kee is the official local toy distributor in the Philippines so they are one of those things that give toys for malls to sell. The "Ban kee" stuff other people might be talking about are the "Ban Kee" stickers that are usually located either somewhere on the back or bottom of a Takara Tomy Beyblade box in Philippine malls (Specifically their toys section). These stickers are mixed with the "not for children under 3 years old" thing and you will see a small text that says "Exclusively Distributed by BAN KEE Trading" or something like that. They indicate that you bought a Takara Tomy Beyblade that is distributed by Ban Kee. The Ban Kee sticker is important in official beyblade tournaments in Philippine malls as they require you to bring your beyblade(s] box(es) with a Ban Kee sticker on it because otherwise you can't join; and if you have a beyblade part from a beyblade whose box doesn't have a Ban Kee sticker on it then you can't use that part in a tournament. Even if it's an original *Takara Tomy* Beyblade or a part from an original *Takara Tomy* Beyblade, if the box doesn't have a Ban Kee sticker on it or you don't have the box at all, you can't join the tournament. Yeah, sounds like gatekeeping but at least there's no entrance fee (Just bring those TT beyblade boxes with Ban Kee stickers on it somewhere bro 😭🙏). Also just telling you this has been a thing ever since the Burst days (and maybe even during Metal Fight days too) since almost all my Burst beyblades are bought from malls and their boxes have Ban Kee stickers somewhere on them. Last note; I don't know if you can use fake launchers or launchers from TT whose box doesn't have the sticker on it but I can make sure you can't use beyblades whose boxes don't have the sticker, even if it's original TT.
I love how I’m finding a huge community of adults that enjoy Beyblade as much as I do!!! Keep yo head up!! And I’d honestly say don’t give up no matter what! Dreams keep us alive!!
I would send an email to the main staff at the WBO immediately. The WBO is a non-for-profit organization, FYI. Their tournament organizers are all independent actors. The roll is earned via an in house exam. Most people who take on the roll are children. So, I’m not surprised by the behavior. Keep having events while you can. I see other Beyblade communities popping up in the East Coast due to the lack of vetting on the WBO’s side. If you can pass their Organizer’s exam, you’re in. That’s kind of dangerous. There are more children, than adults who play.
I mean maybe it’s just because I’m a kid organizer for the WBO, but at least most organizers don’t seem to act this way that I know of. People wanting to profit off of this hobby is actually horrible, and rather they should help these local shops out. Blading’s for everyone and really we have to stay together as a community and help people both within and out of the WBO, especially here in the West, where we have no official support. Keep striving man! Be kind and those who are also positive will come to you! ✌️✌️👍
So amazing to see a Beyblade store open, and I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this! It’s sad that hobby spaces can start to have groups of people that do this once the hobby becomes bigger. You’re doing so much good from your community, proud of you for continuing this journey!
A lot of tournaments don’t have buy ins and don’t have any profit so not sure what they’re talking about. Any buy ins if they exist usually just cover venue costs. Not sure who’s been commenting on your stuff but I’m sure the wbo will iron it out. This is not a normal thing and definitely not the typical representation of the wbo.
Oh it's definitely the typical representation of WBO. I've been around since 2011 and the WBO experience has always been horrible for the most part. Majority of the people in charge are toxic elitists. Anyone who has been around long enough knows how WBO does things. You are either with them or against them. Anyone who doesn't run tournaments through them is looked down upon by them. This situation is even worse of course.
@@ParadoX-os this whole thing has nothing to do with the WBO as it turns out. The people involved have been to a couple tournaments but aren't active members of the WBO community, let alone Organizers. Would appreciate if the misinfo stopped. As it is we have changed a lot since 2011 and tried to have less of an iron fist approach. We only allow people who pass our application process to post events because it is our way of trying to make sure they're safe and run well, but everyone on the staff team these days just wants to see more people play beyblade, whether it is with us or without us. I'm staff on the WBO and I have friends in plenty of great non WBO groups who do great events.
@@plasticsDB It's not misinformation, though? Everything I said is true. You guys just don't know your own organization. I am not saying everyone is bad, but you have A LOT of bad apples at higher positions. Even in your Discord server I've seen tons of elitism and rude behavior that I have not seen on other servers. 10+ years ago you guys were asking money from members who wanted to organize their events through WBO and threatened to close their accounts if they didn't pay. Sure, maybe this doesn't happen anymore, but you still have a toxic community, which I have not seen on other servers and platforms. You could be a great person, but you will not tell me what's true about WBO because I've seen how bad things are with my own eyes for 14 years now.
@@ParadoX-os Years ago the WBO had entry fees to keep running while offering prize reimbursement and giveaways etc, and if people collected money from others under that pretense and agreement and didn't pay they did get banned... That's not that unreasonable I think. Hell, at least one person who did that didn't even get banned, they were just barred from organizing until it got sorted later. Most organizations with any kind of prizing or infrastructure collect entry fees or are store owners who sell product - we currently don't, currently we have sponsorships. I can't feel negative towards people charging reasonable fees tho... Someone has to pay for the number of stadiums that get broken, the prizing, the venue, supplies... Can't begrudge people charging fees and no one makes a big profit off it. If we ever did go back to doing fees, it would likely go to assisting with that - we keep our operating costs modest and no one working for the WBO is being paid, we're all just there because we love beyblade and want to build a community. Still, if you can't let go of grudges from that long ago then nothing I can say will change your mind. You're welcome to feel that way, I just want to clarify that the incidents in this video were not related to us, these users don't have a presence in our discord or anything, we can't control everyone who attends events and what they do on social media... It's a fair few people. Are there toxic people who use the WBO? Yeah, our userbase is huge, but if people have issues with others being toxic to them on say discord, send a modmail, we'll look into it. I would say I'm pretty engaged with the community and what it does, but at our scale I mean... If you consider that not knowing the organization then sure, we don't have an FBI agent assigned to everyone who has joined over the years. But, I can say that this specific incident is down to someone using our name inappropriately and inaccurately to sound relevant. We can't stop that and it sucks to see us get dragged for it. I hope one day you'll give us another chance, but if you're jaded then it is what it is. I'm gonna work with my team to try to give everyone around the world an organized, helpful and positive space to meet and discuss beyblade and find people to play with, learn about beyblade and get people together. I can't say we always nail the culture or hell, a lot of things we try, but I think we're doing a lot better than back in MFB days. I was certainly an asshole back then, but I'm probably the meanest person on the team nowadays, the rest of em are legitimately lovely people.
@@plasticsDB I don't know what you are going on about, but you guys were asking for fees when you didn't provide anything for our tournament. We didn't have a prize, we didn't take money from the members and you certainly did not provide us with anything yourself. We bought everything ourselves and the only thing we wanted was to post the tournament on WBO. We didn't ask for anything else, but you guys asked for a lot of money just for organizing our tournament on your website and did in fact threaten with a ban if we didn't pay. I did recently give you guys a 2nd chance and got on the Discord server, but I did not like the attitude of a lot of people there and some were also mods that had no business being mods with the way they handled things. I didn't experience these issues on other servers I tried, so it wasn't really a me issue. I don't have a personal vendetta against you guys, but you guys are not as squeaky clean as you think you are. There is a reason why people dislike WBO. It's not just a big misunderstanding.
Aw, that sucks, man. Here in the Philippines, especially in Metro Manila, we have small community tournaments almost every day, with player counts ranging from 20 to 50 per tournament. It sucks that the WBO boycotted your store, man.
Tennessee here. If we had a locals for beyblade i would go and spend the $5 a week. I would even spend extra for exclusive imports to get it immediately.
I thought about opening a beyshop ngl... I thought about putting anime-sized stadiums in there so it feels more immersive and exciting for kids and people coming in but idk...
I was hosting tournaments every Saturday in California at a local card shop while also selling beyblade products. Was a lot of fun but didn't get more than 10 people at a time. Most people preferred to go to offical tournaments but we had a good healthy community. I'm taking a break to focus on my photography career. It's very hard to actually make money from Beyblade but good luck with your shop. Would love to open a bey park one day even if it's just for fun.
Wtf??? That's some weird ass behavior on their part man sorry to hear that and in within your own community too. Smfh. Hoping it works out for you cause a beyblade dedicated store is so sick. Just know if ever, Portland OR would welcome you with wide open arms!
Open it in croatia, Zagreb. Pretty sure we need one because we have 0 bey torunys, and I loved them when I was a kid. Just got into X so yeah, I am sure me and my friends would join weekly
I have had some whack experiences with the WBO, but I have also had some great ones. Occasionally you get great people, other times you get some toxic ppl. Just stick to it, maybe try and talk to some of the ppl that actually run the WBO - especially if your local organizers are creating some kind of rivalry over there being more events. If anything they should be happy there are more places to play and a local shop that's willing to host when so many players in other areas struggle to find an indoor venue.
I still don't understand why the WBO organizers and judges hasn't stepped one foot in this store. That's why I opened it in the first place, I could have easily opened another tcg card shop but somebody needs to show Beyblades some love.
I really hate to hear all of this man. You are always welcome within BBAX. I used to organize with WBO back in Burst and when I left, I didnt look back. I started BBAX back in febuary. So glad I did. -Mstubbs88
As a former card store owner, it's hella hard starting any business so kudos on this first off. I'm an organizer for bbax as well as a founding member of the BBAX Rules committee. I have no ill will towards the wbo as a org. Of course there are bad apples in every organizations members and such. It however isn't stellar that those members actively put someone down that's trying to empower the beyblade community. For that I apologize on their behalf, I extend the same hand as MStubbs(BBAX President) that you are welcome anytime and have our full support.
Dam bro that's messed up to hear. Just found out beyblade even continued and kept the franchise going after my childhood days and got into this community a few days ago. Sucks to hear you gotta deal with greedy aholes like that. Keep your head up, ur story will be a helpful one to anyone you may inspire. Cheers from South Dakota!
Man that's not cool of them You should open a website for online too! I'm in Indiana and we don't have opportunities like that, we have to buy from eBay and hope for the best
Man, I was lucky that I came across your video, I work in advertising here in Brazil and I thought your idea was very good but there is room for improvement, I'll give you some suggestions : First, don’t limit your sales, expand to digital commerce, second make a difference, create a price table for parts and buy and sell beyblade parts from players, creating a market similar to that of pokemon cards.;;thirdly, create a leaderboard of players in your store with data such as the number of victories and defeats in their championships and give a prize at the end of the season to the best placed or hold an all star tournament.... You should expand to social networks, use a cell phone to record the matches and live stream the tournaments and feed them to Instagram/RUclips, etc. You can have your own league, with your own model rules and unique formats, if you need help I've already created several Beyblade x tournament rules... anyway, I hope you can use some ideas.
Hey man, so sorry that the community is treating you poorly like that. It makes the whole WBO look bad and it’s definitely not something they endorse. I know you’ve already gotten some comments telling you to reach out, and I highly suggest you do so. This kind of behavior could get these bad organizers out of your community and give San Antonio a fresh start with kind folks like yourself at the helm. Once again so sorry for all this, best of luck from WBO SoCal ❤❤
The players and organizers that are giving you a hard time because they know if you get established people are going to want to show up to your tournaments instead of theirs, and they're getting all ass hurt about it. Let the staff from WBO sniff em out and flush em. I'm an active player in the WBO myself and those are definitely not the kind of people we want in the hobby. Funny, they accused you of gatekeeping, because that's exactly what they are doing.
Omg I would love to visit this store I've always wanted to go to a Beyblade store since I was really little. Though I probably won't be able to since it's in Texas and visiting Texas could end up with me dead 😅
If there is one general mindset that WBO organizers and community members have is they hate overlapping events. I personally disagree with that. IDGAF about "sabotaging" other peoples' events. Maybe I have that opinion because the Beylade scene in my area is pretty dispersed, despite how technically close we are, mile-wise. If there is one scene that does NOT need to worry about overlapping tournaments and whatnot, it's freakin Texas. Place is hella big, the scene from what I hear is hella big, AND the national tournament is held there! There is LITERALLY enough room in that town for more tournaments, meetups, etc. The more the merrier. I wanna see this hobby get hella mainstream, and that ain't gonna happen if m and fers are bitching about who is holding tournaments and how they are running them. WBO got their OWN rules and regulations and whatnot, and that's great. They got a good structure. But they're one entity. Who need to stay in their lane. If someone wants to do casual tournaments that are not affiliated with WBO, you are an ASS if you wanna stop them.
First of all, its not about the money you got that right. Its about the rush of excitement when its player vs player in the arena winner takes all. Secondly, where I am in the UK we have this small place for blading and this 1 group of dudes come in EVERY week (we blade every sunday) and they always challenge us saying stuff like "We're the best around here we come from (wont say name of the other store) and we bet we can beat you all" they are literally acting to antagonists bro and its annoying. We blade to have FUN. not to see who can beat each other. THEY LITTERALLY CALL THEMSELVES PRO-BLADERS! like BRUH. They have blades that u cant get rn in the UK like god damn DranBuster. My friends Sting Unicorn got cracked in the first round then shattered in the second. luckily I had a spare to give him because i did owe him from getting me my first bey (steel samurai and i use it in every 3v3 match). They paid to import something to beat other blades. Thirdly, I salute you for opening your first Bey -store and i hope to hear how your store evolves and grows.
Hiya, really sorry to hear about these "pro bladers" coming in and ruining it for you by the sound of it, I run a uk community discord server where we advertise hangouts, tournaments with and without wbo affiliation, and generally try to build a community around having fun in the game, I can imagine in your situation it's far from fun, especially if its a recurring thing, wanted to offer since I figure you'd be able to meet people and blade in a more chill environment while also finding other events in your area
Sounds like some awful organizers tbh. Why wouldn't they want a beyblade space to freely organize and grow in? Especially if they're of the mind of growing the community. Not having to worry about space frees you up to plan bigger events, or even stream and create content of current events to really show the world that the community exists!
Dude, this a big L for WBO. Tbh, I can't even make an account on WBO because they flagged my account for spamming? I've only started my Beyblade hobby. I'ma just run a tournament through BCP and request beyblade to be a game in their list. I already run 40k tournaments. You should do some skirmish 40k games like WarCry and Kill Team and hold a selection of their goods. Weekly Tournaments for beyblade is literally doable and something I'd be interested in.
I barely got Google maps to have the beyshop in it, I almost closed up shop 2 months after opening because there wasn't any support from the WBO. Luckily my friends are business owners too and we're slowly turning this building into the ultimate chill spot in San Antonio Texas.
Suspend your disbelief for a few mins instead of rallying behind WBO just because you are affiliated with them. WBO isnt exactly some squeaking clean org that never makes mistakes.
@@TwoTripleoh I know all the stuff that happened back then. Either way this is the present and I just don't see anything mentioned here actually happening after diving deeper into this topic, it's actually a completely different organization that hosts tourneys yet WBO is getting blamed. Looks like I have a reason to visit San Antonio. Don't let the haters ruin your dream, regardless of where their allegiances lie. I've read countless comments pointing fingers at the WBO for this, only for the truth to come out that it was just some random asshole telling you off. While I can't say for certain that the WBO has some bad actors, the main takeaway from this is that don't let anybody tell you what to do, whether they're WBO or not. It's YOUR STORE. It exists to MAKE MONEY, not to appease some elitist snob goblins.
@Filipino_films I'm glad you saw the original post. I was telling metal face juice my original shop I would have five players in my tournament. But then highway 90 got shut down so I had to find a new location. But after I answered her questions she ask me the same thing again. I don't know who she was. That's when I just got ignorant and whoever commented the same question I already answered, I would reply "are you going to show up" I still suspect they're the ones telling everybody I'm trying to boycott the community and my San Japan video

I don’t know how Hasbro runs the tournaments in the States, but I know that TakaraTomy prohibits making profits out of those tournaments. So why don’t you report that the WBO make $400?
I did report them. The best thing they could do is lower the price over their tournaments because I called them out on it. Since I was charging $5 and they were charging $10.

Man I wish I lived closer so I could support your store
Hey man, may just be me but your doing great. Starting a business and following a dream is great! Keep it up man hope this works out for you :)
Keep up the good work Bro
Those WBO ain't even affiliated to Bandai or Hasbro they just want to monopolize the sport
I would go to your store every day. And purchase products every single day
Dont give up man. Keep it pushing. You are doing so much for the hobby. We need you!
i love beyblade and i go visit back San Antonio every year for san japan so looking forward to seeing you and your booth at the next one
the WBO is toxic bro, keep doing your best. If I ever come to texas, I'll buy from you
I thought about opening a beyshop ngl... I thought about putting anime-sized stadiums in there so it feels more immersive and exciting for kids and people coming in but idk...
Please stay determined. Best luck with your bussiness
Man I would try to go any Sunday you would host if I still lived by your area 🙂↕️
I hope you make it man don’t give up !
Wtf??? That's some weird ass behavior on their part man sorry to hear that and in within your own community too. Smfh. Hoping it works out for you cause a beyblade dedicated store is so sick. Just know if ever, Portland OR would welcome you with wide open arms!
Sounds like WBO being the gatekeepers in this case. Sorry you had some turbulence but I hope the best for you and your shop!
Open it in croatia, Zagreb. Pretty sure we need one because we have 0 bey torunys, and I loved them when I was a kid. Just got into X so yeah, I am sure me and my friends would join weekly
That store looks like a good thrill, but WBO is terribly off.
@@John_Marbach Beats me. Either none live near you, or they want their events to be the only ones in the area. IDK, I am not great at social cues.
I really hate to hear all of this man. You are always welcome within BBAX. I used to organize with WBO back in Burst and when I left, I didnt look back. I started BBAX back in febuary. So glad I did.

Goated.
Yo BBAX! What up?? Much love from FL
I had to shae this to twitter if you haven't been on tiktok or reddit the community will definitely be here to cheer you on man!
I wish I wasn’t in Houston. I’d visit you all the time. I’ll tell the San Antonio gang about it if they don’t already know
Dam bro that's messed up to hear. Just found out beyblade even continued and kept the franchise going after my childhood days and got into this community a few days ago. Sucks to hear you gotta deal with greedy aholes like that. Keep your head up, ur story will be a helpful one to anyone you may inspire. Cheers from South Dakota!
WBO? This is like Mafia with beyblade😂
Man that's not cool of them
You should open a website for online too! I'm in Indiana and we don't have opportunities like that, we have to buy from eBay and hope for the best
I think this kind of thing is keeping the "sport" unsportsmanlike
I lived in Corpus until July, so sad this happened, I would have drove up to support any chance I got!
Keep going!💯💯💯💯💯
If I lived in the area I'd sign tf up for weekly tournaments, wtf is their problem?
WBO isn't on the packaging, keep going fam.
Man, I was lucky that I came across your video, I work in advertising here in Brazil and I thought your idea was very good but there is room for improvement, I'll give you some suggestions :
First, don’t limit your sales, expand to digital commerce, second make a difference, create a price table for parts and buy and sell beyblade parts from players, creating a market similar to that of pokemon cards.;;thirdly, create a leaderboard of players in your store with data such as the number of victories and defeats in their championships and give a prize at the end of the season to the best placed or hold an all star tournament....
Keep up the grind no one carrs what wbo thinks❤
Hey man, so sorry that the community is treating you poorly like that. It makes the whole WBO look bad and it’s definitely not something they endorse. I know you’ve already gotten some comments telling you to reach out, and I highly suggest you do so. This kind of behavior could get these bad organizers out of your community and give San Antonio a fresh start with kind folks like yourself at the helm. Once again so sorry for all this, best of luck from WBO SoCal ❤❤
Keep going mate! Make beyblade great again~!
You're amazing brother and the first to do it!
Omg I would love to visit this store I've always wanted to go to a Beyblade store since I was really little. Though I probably won't be able to since it's in Texas and visiting Texas could end up with me dead 😅
My dream is to have a beyblade store near me.
Ngl I’d buy some if I was close to the spot no doubt
Keep at it with the weeklies! At the end of the day we all just want to spin some beys 🔥
I hope you figure it out bro there’s room for everyone to make money and have a good tirm
Hey i’m coming down from Austin someday to come support you and spend some money, you’re awesome dude fuck the bullshit.
Sounds like some awful organizers tbh. Why wouldn't they want a beyblade space to freely organize and grow in? Especially if they're of the mind of growing the community. Not having to worry about space frees you up to plan bigger events, or even stream and create content of current events to really show the world that the community exists!
Wbo organizers all independent. I run events wherever i can so people can enjoy gameplay
Yo where is your shop located

Hey bro, you do you.they don't sell at wbo events .
Bruh don’t listen to what those people are saying, a beyblade store is a cool idea!!
This is embarrassing for the wbo sorry you had to deal with this
Is the store still open? Google maps doesnt show the Store or hours of operation?
I barely got Google maps to have the beyshop in it, I almost closed up shop 2 months after opening because there wasn't any support from the WBO.
Luckily my friends are business owners too and we're slowly turning this building into the ultimate chill spot in San Antonio Texas.
This is sounding like a lot of wild claims. WBO slander with 0 reciepts? Kinda weird not gonna lie.
Once again, this is more slander than anything. Receipts would are necessary if this happens to be real, but for now this is nothing more than wild claims.
One thing I'm confused about, how is it gatekeeping? Wbo are talking out of your bum?
Out of curiosity, if you are selling Hasbro Beyblade items, what distributor / wholesale source do you use? I'm having trouble finding many sources.
