(watching from Canada) what a delight! and perhaps a new chapter (hint! hint!) of the generous career of Diarmaid McCulloch.
I hope to one day visit several East Anglian villages where various family members had lived long ago. That being a costly and remote hope, I was very pleased to find this effort. Thank you
Beautiful reflections - very much enjoyed the journey
Very nice!
Just come across this delightful video. Thank you so much.
What a total delight. The commentary was a pleasure to listen to and the presenter a joy to watch. What a wonderful little gem of a church. I look forward to the next few episodes.
Thanks so much! The other episodes are just as good and can all be watched on our streaming platform, CCTdigital.com
this is such a wonderful thing to do.. maybe a bit slower, but you get to see and experience different places and i think churches can link us to our past and our ancestors..
if i walk into a church and see the our father written in strong black across some fading life of a saint or something.. gives me such thrills and even a chill? lots of emotions in these places..
This is one of the most intelligent and engaging presentations I have seen in a great while.
What a delight! A gentle, personal and incisive commentary beautifully shot. Uplifting.
What a joyful film. The experience of stepping into the cool silence of centuries, and finding a sense of self understood in the process - this huge yet subtle reward of church visiting was captured for me in this journey to Illington. Thank you.
That was absolutely fantastic I can't wait for more episodes!!
Brilliant! Church crawls are now on my list of things to do this year.
Totally wonderful. Diarmaid MacCulloch is a terrific presenter (and lecturer) so really looking forward to the next one. Hope it is very soon!

thankyou for sharing this video.
Excellent presentation. In the best traditions of Sir John Betjeman's film 'Norfolk Churches'.
Love this, but did anyone else think 'shut the door' when he went in?
How long do we have to wait for the next one ? This was so good and reflects my love of my own Churchcrawls. Really looking forward to the next one
