  • Showing viewers from beginning to end how to place a cloth body on a soft bodied doll. 📷 credits to my granddaughter Ava. Also my little love bugs are playing in the background. 🤷🏻‍♀️🥰

Thank you for this! I've had a doll for 30 years now and it's past time to make her new again. She lost an arm about 15 years ago so.. she's due for some upgraded love. Thanks for sharing!

Hello, thank you for the video. I am in the process of making a new cloth body, for a large Zapf baby doll and found this very helpful. My doll needs her vinyl limbs re-stitched back on once I've finished the body. It's been quite challenging, working from her old body as a pattern, but I'm almost there.

Getting ready to replace the body on a vintage composition doll. The body was in such bad shape I can't even use it for a pattern. I found a cabbage patch pattern the right size, but it doesn't have the rear end piece. I'm going to make one like the one you have here. Thanks so much for the video and tips.

Amazing! I am working on repairing my sister-in-law's childhood baby doll, the first video that came up is this one which is her exact doll! Thank you so much for posting this, it makes complicated project much more doable. FYI the doll was made by Playmates Between 1979 and 1984 and went by the names baby darling and baby soft love

You can also use zip ties instead of string! A lot of newer dolls do that.

Thank you for this video! I have this exact doll it was my 1st baby doll. I was wondering how you took the body off without ruining the fabric as to keep the pattern. My doll which now is my 3 yr old daughter's head is about to come off and I need to repair asap.

Thank you so much for this! Im 33yo and have a doll that Ive had since my first Christmas when I was 10 months old. I still take her with me when I travel and she sleeps with me (not ashamed haha). But her cloth body is falling apart and her arms are coming off. Im going to try and restore her body like you did for your doll. Wish me luck!

Good luck!! Please post a picture when you’re done. Like someone else said on here, you can use zip ties to connect the arms and legs, just use the small ones. I was in an area where I couldn’t find the right zip ties, so I went with the string.

What about a dolls body that has been completely destroyed?
