    “It takes time” ❤️
    Think about it, it has taken over-eighty years to get all that dirt, lol. It’s going to take a while to get it out. ❤️

    I love the back room doll shop visits! It inspires me to try again on some dolls that need attention and are sitting in boxes.
    Part of my problem is lack of space.
    Anyway...it's just fun to see what's going on and be part of that world if only in a virtual manner.
    I do like dressing the dolls, but it's kind of fun that you set it out for Linda, it doesn't seem like she minds.
    Thank you as always for including us!

    Very informative. I have a Tiny Tears doll from the 1950s that has been packed away. I cleaned her body with mild soap but her face would not clean up (I believe the coloring from her synthetic hair has something to do with it). I will try the Gojo cream and obtain some 911.

    I appreciate everything you do in the doll community. I love watching your videos. I have learned so much. I do have a quick question. I have a beautiful composition Shirley Temple doll I bought for my mom. I wanted to gently clean it. In using Gojo, do you ever use a little water after applying Gojo, or do you just use a soft cloth to remove. I know water and composition don't always mix. But, I wasn't sure if the Gojo should be wiped off with a wet cloth. I wished your shop was closer to where I live.
    Best wishes,
    Rob

    Rachael, If I used 911 on my Horsman Doll from 1970 and my Uneeda Doll from 1967, would it help take off nail polish from the dolls eyes? When I was a Child, I put nail polish on their eye lids and lips as well as I pierced my Uneeda Dolls ears, on the Dolls! I so LOVE your Campbells Soup Dolls and I so appreciate the Gojo (original not the one with the girt) and Twin Pines 911 advice to clean antique dolls:)!! Oh, for the more modern dolls, to wash their hair, I would advise using Tresemme Conditioner because it gives the Dolls hair a beautiful shine:)!!! And I so LOVE Grace, with her adorable Christmas Hat:)!!

    Just found you video! I have a 70 yr old Lady Alexander Nurse doll that I have carried with me ever place I moved. The last time I moved the doll had a dusty coating all over her body. Can I clean it with GoJo?

    • @RachelHoffmanDolls
      @RachelHoffmanDolls  9 месяцев назад

      Yes, GoJo can be used to clean dolls, but you have to be very careful, especially with a vintage piece like your 70-year-old Madame Alexander Nurse doll. Ensure that the GoJo you're using doesn't contain any pumice or grit, as it could scratch or damage the doll's surface. Test on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure there are no adverse reactions. After using GoJo, make sure to gently wipe off all residues with a clean cloth. If you're unsure or hesitant, it might be best to consult a doll restoration expert.

    What is the difference between composite body, bisque and paper machete. I I have been tasked with all of my grandmother and mother's dolls from storage. Unfortunately some of the clothes have little holes in them and I'm debating whether to wash them or not. I wanted to make sure each doll had the right knowledge with it and I've gone online but I'm not sure whether the doll is paper mache or bisque some of them are cloth with like a plasticy kind of face. And some of them look like they're cement inside it's they're really weird and I'm finding it a little difficult to discern. So I'd like to have that answered if I if anybody knows thank you so much.

    • @RachelHoffmanDolls

      Is there anything inherently wrong with self-promotion? As the owner of a business and a RUclips channel that is quite expensive to maintain, it's important to prioritize promoting your brand. Everything I do costs a LOT of money, especially educational videos. Perhaps you have me confused with a non-profit entity?
