I am always a fan of more transparency when it comes to updates about where a game is going. Giving a face to development is always a double edge sword. It gives the player a sense of the game having a dedicated person that is the medium between devs and players, but it also gives the players a target if anything goes wrong. In the end I think the benefits outweighs the negatives that might come up in the future.

It is an unpopular opinion but I would remove the f2p and make the paid heroic version the base to play GW2, I tried this game many times for free but the limitations it has are horrible

The last 2 MMOs that went to annual expansions started off strong, but quickly went to shit
Then again, they also introduced quarterly updates of some sort
I really, REALLY don’t want to see GW2 follow in ESO and Destiny2’s foot steps

They... didn't, in fact the literal opposite happened my guy.
Both ESO and Destiny 2 grew SUBSTANTIALLY as a result of this transition, and both of them are STILL growing to this day because of this whole yearly release format.
I mean, hell, if it wasn't for that model, both ESO and Destiny 2 would've probably kept declining into nothingness

Hey, thanks for sharing your thoughts! I agree with the general sentiment that there is a risk with GW2 changing up their business model, certainly if they lean too heavily towards over monetization. I fee like they will likely due okay as they have proven themselves to have fair business in the past. I hope they take things slow and introduce things in a good way. Thanks for watching and commenting :)
