Thank you for the video demonstration! I had no idea you can stream the FT8 data to an Android tablet. I'll try this tonight with my Huawei tablet and my ATS-25 AMP. 🙂 I know it's kind of odd, but if the volume has to be increased in order for the signal to be decoded it's as if the signal is decoded acoustically and not electronically, which may involve a built-in transducer or microphone inside the ATS-25. I may be wrong about this but logic tells me that it's the RF input level that affects the decoding, rather than the AF output gain.
I enjoy your videos very much. I have learned quite abit, but being a newby to this tech I always have questions. The ATS 25 Max decoder does alot. Some is over my head at this time. My question that I have not got a good answer for in other venues is, will this radio work in remote areas with out wifi ? I live in British Columbia Canada and we make many trips to the wilds of BC where there is no cell service or wifi of any kind. Not even a plane flies over ,unless it is a float plane coming to pick you up. I can solar charge radios etc, but I want a radio which will work away from civilization. Will this radio work for me? thanks for any advice.
You master your subject, your explanations are clear. WELL DONE
Wow, thanks!
i have had mine for a year and i did not know this THANK YOU im experimenting with this when i get off work.
Cool
I recent bought a ATS rx, interesting features! Thanks for your video!
Which one .
The last type: the max decoder.

The FT8 wont work without wifi.
Just bought one, I put a 3.5mm jack plug in to mute the speaker whilst having volume at the correct setting
Such fun
You can use the wheel to scrol the menus, much easier
Lol yes
Wow…u need to run that with the volume up??
Ok
So are there any iOS options for terminal applications that would work with this?
I think no
I find it very disturbing to have the volume up when decoding ft8...I don't need noise when not on voice comms
ok
Weird that you need to volume up to make waterfall work.
I will test
Any idea if a dual USB-C cord will work?
I think no but maybe with problems .
