It's cheating your way through the game. No way a person can press a button that fast to make mario swim up as fast as the flash. And the hitboxes on the piranha plants are ridiculously close to mario. Also, wall jumping in some of these TAS's, avoiding obvious deaths when they clearly fall off the ledge. Altering the game in any way is a form of cheating with the help of a program. They're still fun af to watch tho.

Nope. It can’t be, not if it’s using the spitting sound effect for bosses getting hit, which is a clear indication of it being programmed poorly.
Going back and watching this one again since it popped up on my feed. This is one of the best-done hacks I've seen.
