As an American, I'm extremely disappointed I didn't find out about Powderfinger until much later than they came out in Australia as they aren't represented much in the states. This band is phenomenal and I'm a huge fan for life.

I’m lucky enough to be from their home town. I first saw them at a bikers clubhouse party before they were famous and still doing the odd cover. They did a Great version of pink Floyd’s run like hell.

So many amazing songs, and so many of us miss Powderfinger. I watched the Covid special again to, it was awesome, musically speaking.
I'm here in Chiang Mai where this was filmed. When I first saw this clip I vowed to come here, now I live here but I never thought that would be the case. Funny how things work out and we can arrive at our destiny in ways we never expect.
For me there's always been a bit of magic in a lot of their songs.
There's definitely no one original around now doing this sort of thing with music as far as I'm concerned. Although One Republic are really good I think. I did see a group of extremely talented young Thai guys last night play in a little dive, truly talented and I was spewing when they finished. But they were pounding out old standards in unique ways that I grew up on, and I'm to close to 60 to be happy about it. But for me, that was seeing real music come alive, not this puke worthy recycled electro shit they push at us now.
This song has so many memories in it for me. I would play it for my wife when she was alive and every time hear this song I think of her because she was Thai and such a beautiful soul, I really miss her at times. So thank you Finger because I got to write someone's name accross the sky with my heart and .... well what can be said to that, life's a gift if you love it and live it and can meet it face on. Little did I know all those years ago when I first romanticised about it just how this song would carve its way into the sky of my own little life. No one is insignificant... But see that's the power of real music, it touches your soul. Powderfinger had that kind of magic for me and I'm really grateful for it. A movie is dead and dry without theme music
